One question I have, that’s been asked before, is are the apparent read option plays actually read options? For how few times Romfo actually keeps it, feels like he’s instructed not to. Or maybe it’s just never there, idk.

I’m feeling quite optimistic about this year. Leagues pretty open. Although we don’t have the high end talent players, Omot and Ihenacho, I think we have better depth and maybe players that are willing to buy more into how Sather wants his teams. Hopefully someone can get some info on how they fare today against UNI. That will be a good barometer, at least to start.

I always thought you play him in the 3 Dakota games and then Northern Iowa. Turned out he got in against Murray and not at NDSU but I think you keep him now until the SD schools come up. Unless something’s going to change with how they use him, seems pointless to pull it but then again this day and age may as well play them while you have them!

While I don’t disagree with the idea, I don’t think he quite has what Brock had for running ability. Take a look at what SDSU is doing with #7. Can keep both QBs on the field at once.

I know the season isn’t always the hottest time for recruiting but man it feels like forever since we have had any news!

Hate to say it but I agree, NDSU is going to be really really good. SDSU will be fine too, maybe not quite as dominant but top 3.

I thought I had heard it was UND -22, which is way too many points. -11 makes a lot more sense but I’m not confident.

You’re not wrong but if we can’t recruit the right personnel than we have to adapt our defense to fit the personnel that we do have.

Yeah that was the start I suppose. I wrote that off but then the Murray State game was alarming.

I thought they did. Giving up 35 to that awful Murray State team is what scares me the most. I guess maybe some of it was just due to us scoring so much but a week later USD shut them out 59-0.

The QB is the sexy position to talk about but until something changes with our defense it won’t matter much who’s starting.

Complete non-sense hypothetical, but what if we win the toss, elect to receive, get the ball at the 25 and #11 comes trotting out? Would the crowd go wild? I know some on here would.
