  1. So who wins the QB battle, now that the new guys will have so much more time in the system? Vaughan certainly has the size and arm strength, Neal sounds pretty athletic, and Schuster has some live game experience (though extremely limited). There has been zero reporting that I have seen on the players or the progress of the team this fall. So, any thoughts?
  2. ^This ... if you have one kid that can't tie his shoes, do you make everyone else wear velcroe? Some people will have more severe symptoms, does that mean everyone else has to suffer the impact? I'm not saying people shouldn't exercise caution ... they should. I'm not saying teams, schools or leagues shouldn't have new rules in place ... they already do. But the overall numbers, don't seem to quite reflect the scary story that was preached several months ago. I think we have seen an unknow (which was certainly unnerving) turn into a political agenda, with the public, students, athletes, fans, workers, and so many more taking the brunt of the impact. It sucks! Life can't snap back to 100% normal overnight, but we should be working towards that. As much as I hated hockey getting cancelled last spring, it was more understandable, because we Covid was the unknown, but cancelling the football season, and bumping FCS back to spring seemed extremely hasty and premature (in my opinion).
  3. Agreed, I would have liked to have seen them play. If nothing else, it gets the young kids on the field and gets them some experience. Anyone hear anything about how fall/spring camp is going?
  4. Agreed, I think many have gotten to the point where we still need to be cautious and smart, and considerate of others who may take extreme caution, but altogether, people still want to be able to live their lives. Temporary disruption seemed acceptable as we learned what was happening. Obviously we have more to learn, and this isn't going away tomorrow, but we can't put life completely on hold for a year or more either. Certainly hopeful that with time, and hopefully a vaccine of some sort, that life shifts back closer to normal by next summer.
  5. Any updates from fall/spring camp?
  6. Sounds the kid has a good head on his shoulders, and certainly some skill on the field. Could we get a few more high caliber guys like this for 2021 please!
  7. Whatever happened to Bruner. Did he transfer out and play anywhere, or just quit the game?
  8. I hate the idea of football in the spring, but I guess it is still better than no football at all. More time for some of these young players to get up to speed. Hopefully, life looks more normal by next spring and the 2021 season will bring with it some normal schedules and a lot of fans. It will be interesting to see how this impacts the draft next year.
  9. Woah woah woah!!! That would require the NC$$ to think outside of the box and get creative. Fun thought though.
  10. This sucks!
  11. Agreed, you do what you need to for recruiting. More of a statement of just how stupid our youth and pop culture can be.
  12. It would be funny if it wasn’t so sad. I’ll take hockey in an empty arena over no hockey at all, but seriously when will this all get back to normal!
  13. If I remember right, Otis runs pretty wild and angry too. Not that we had a huge sample size. Very excited for this season, and hope it happens!
  14. Yeah, can't blame a kid for that.
  15. Doesn't mean there aren't other players that have conditions that would make them more at risk. Age is only one factor. Michael Pierce just opted out of the Vikings season because of his risks due to Asthma.
  16. I don't think so ... Gabewas born in California; Cutter was born in Sweden.
  17. Thats strange, he is still tweeting and welcoming new recruits, so maybe thats an oversight? Or is there something else going on there?
  18. I believe beginning Sept 1st, you can take a covid test to show you are negative and avoid the 14 day quarantine. Not saying it is likely, but its plausible.
  19. Maybe I missed this somewhere else but what is the story with fall camp? Is everything still moving forward as planned for the moment? I believe everyone is on campus except for the two foreign kids, right? Also any word on the O-line this year? Are they beefing back up? Clearly the skinny lineman concept wasn't a great idea last year.
  20. It looks like they would have played UCLA that weekend, and don't have a replacement yet. I would like to think they are checking into this.
  21. 100% agree
  22. Does Hawaii still have any openings?
  23. I already made the joke to my in laws that the virus was clearly cooked up by someone in Oregon who didn't want to play them. Not that I want to encourage the Bison fans, but still.
  24. Bisonville actually has a really good thread with recruiting updates. One of the few threads without much in the way of trash talk. Just offer, interest and commitment details about the MVFC. http://www.bisonville.com/forum/showthread.php?41004-2021-MVFC-Recruiting
  25. Anyone know anything about this kid, other than he played with Quincy? I didn't see any other offers. Basing my opinion only on his twitter post he seems like he has a good head on his shoulders. I like his size at 6' 3", especially if he adds some weight and can play physical. Nice there there is a connection with the QB already. Maybe this is a good alternative to some of those Matteo, Bonnin, or some of the other guys that we may not land, though it would be nice to add another top notch WR. Though I'm hoping we see good production out of Pifer and Preston, so maybe they won't recruit the position as heavily this year if they can't land the guys they want, who knows? Thoughts?
