Does the big sky rank incoming recruiting classes? Obviously meaningless, unless the players perform on the field, but it would be interesting to see where we stand. I'm really hoping some of these guys can make an immediate impact. Our defense took a really nice step forward last year; now we just need to start putting some offense up.

I would think they are still hoping for Troy Hansen.

Has he gotten any interest or offers? I haven't heard anything new on this guys in a while.

What happened with the DB Webb from Illinois? I though he visited last weekend. No commitment? Did he even get an offer?

Hope so, I agree that Jordan should be the only real risk; but maybe he'll end up staying another year. We can hope right?

Obviously this is a little early to be worried about early departures, but I figured it was worth starting the discussion. So who is there that we will need to worry about possibly leaving early. Graduating: Mattson, Gaarder, Parks, MacMillan, O'Donnel, Panzarella, Pattyn Juniors: Caggiula, St. Clair, J. Schmaltz, Sanderson, Chyzyk, McIntyre Sophmores: Stecher Freshman: N. Schmaltz I know their has been some talk about Caggiula and Stecher getting looks as UFA, but I think they are both back and having big seasons. No idea on McIntyre, but I would love to see him for 1 more season. J. Schmaltz ovbiously has some NHL talent, but has also had some faults in his game this season. I think he would benefit from another season of development, and could have a dominant senior season; but I could definitely see him heading out. Hopefully not. N. Schmaltz has had a solid freshman season, but could really develop into a nice player after another season or two. Thoughts? Do we have too many losses to have another good season next year, or will we be too young?

Probably not with Mankato sweeping.

I wouldn't deny that the goofs do have talent. They just have no direction or chemistry. BUT let's not forget this was a team in the national championship last season. The tools are there and if they click in time for the big ten tourney, they could cause damage in the NCAA tourney. I hope I am wrong, but I don't think anyone can be overlooked this season.
