I haven't seen that, but how can a kid make any sort of decision without even making visits.
-
We can only hope he had a good visit to GF. Our facilities have to be a factor for almost any kid. Playing in the Ralph, in from of 13k every night. Annual contenders. We can only hope.

Any idea when we can expect to hear more on potential FBS transfers?
-
I'll take flickertails over being referred to as a color or some sort of weather pattern. With flickertails, I think they could actually come up with a pretty cool logo.
-
I am a big fan of staying University of North Dakota, BUT if they want a new nickname that is unique and relative to the state. Nokota should be high on the list. Very unique name, state horse, you could come up with a pretty awesome logo. Go Nokes?!?!?
-
University of North Dakota Fighting Cornholios!?!?!? We can all through TP on the ice during games.
-
makes sense. I don't know how many rounds are in this draft, but I assume round 9 is about the end. Probably a low risk high reward kind of pick.
-
Since you have Stallions on your list, any idea why Nokota was on the "Not under consideration" list?
-
Pretty sure Tomek is coming to UND regardless of what Zane does. At least that is what I have read.
-
Strange I saw Nokota/Nokes on the "not considered" list
-
No New Nickname. Just North Dakota, that is all I ask.
-
North Dakota!
-
Why would The Nokota be eliminated from contention? Alot of submissions, and what is offensive a out a horse?
-
Wasn't Troy Hansen one of those late commits we got? I want to say he was waiting on a potential FBS offer; or am I thinking of a different guy. Either way, thats a shame. Pretty tacky to back out on a commitment like that.

How competive should we expect this group to be next season?
-
You are correct, I know for a fact the band is not allowed to wear anything with a sioux logo on it.
-
I think for me, this whole frustration extends way beyond just the sioux nickname. It is the entire politically correct initiative that is sweeping across this country. Some people don't like the Sioux name, we have to get rid of it. Some people still want to refer to the name, or no name leaves the door too wide open on the issue ... adopt a new name. You adopted a new name ... there are still too many people wearing old apparely and saying the name ... do something about it. Always giving into this type of whining and complaining is incredibly frustrating to watch, because it will only continue. People will continue to find something to whine and complain about, and they will continue to get their way. This extends far beyond UND and the Sioux name, but it is just another perfect example. Even when these people get their way (name dropped), they push for more.

Just giving you a hard time. I would definitely buy UND gear. Buying a new name and logo would solely depend on what it is, but I would more likely try to make what I have last, or buy what I can find online. When I went to UND we were the Fighting Sioux, its what I would prefer to wear. Always of fan of the University though, wouldn't cheer for anyone else.
-
I'll would definitely cheer on our team, but will still have my Sioux jersey on. Sorry, you will never get me to wear a Sun Dogs logo.
-
This is actually pretty hilarious
-
Sun Dogs? As in ligh refracting from the Sun? This is something we want to use to replace the Fighting Sioux? The argument against No Name has been we need an cool name and logo that we can market; and we are going to go with "light"? I hate to be such a downer on the subject, but many of the suggestions seem to be getting more and more ridiculous. Imagine if the UofM was in our situation, and they adopted Sun Dogs, Fighting Stars, The Magic, Etc? Our fans would not let them hear the end of it. I'm all for "No Nickname" or the NoDaks if you must. BUT if we HAD to pick something else Nokota or Roughriders. *Most people outside of the Red River Valley and local region care if it is the high schools name. When you are talking about branding your school nationally, as many have argued, have the same name as a high school will be unknown to most and completely irrelevant.

North Stars is dumb, as we are just taking the name of Minnesota's former NHL team. The ridicule would never stop. This would be kind of cool if it wasn't being taken from a Minnesota team Ermines are weasels Please nothing weather related. (Storm, Lightning, Fighting Raindrops, Etc.) Shooting stars? Please NO Fighting Stars? What the hell is a fighting star? NO! And the question is really asked why some people prefer No Nickname? For some, it is not about preserving Fighting Sioux as the unofficial nickname; it is more about not sticking our school with something stupid on our jersey that makes us laughable. Which most, not all, new suggestions have been.
