UNI is a game we would have lost last year. Tightly played game. One score game. This was a step forward in my opinion. In the past several year, any time UND has won a game like this and got the fans thinking we were moving in the right direction, they have typically followed it up was a bad loss. One step forward, two steps back. This is the next thing UND needs to handle as a program. Win the games you are supposed to win. Be the team that took it to Nebraska and played effectively against UNI. Definitely concerned with our DBs right now, so hoping Holinka has some good schemes. Tommy needs to just replicate his game from last week. No complaints there, but would love to see Maag get in the mix if he can. The guy only has so much time left here and it would be nice to see some more shots down the field. Anyone hear anything about Smith? He was definitely hobbling a bit on Saturday, hoping he is good to go, but like was Hoosman brings as well. Wouldn't mind mixing in some more Ziebarth. Unfortunately, I'll likely be watching this one on delay again, as I'll have kids sports all day. Can't wait though!

Your QB hate is exhausting. Tommy is not a perfect QB, but he doesn't "suck" by a long shot either. He may not dazzle, but he certainly makes plays and limits errors. Show me the FCS quarterback that plays a flawless game week in and week out.

Well better late than never! Spent my day at kids sports and got to watch the game this evening. I generally hate watching games after the fact, as I am wondering if I am wasting my time .... only to be disappointed. Well this was a fun game. Ups and downs. Times where I thought, Here we go!!!! and here ... we ... go ... again... Not a perfect game, but what a job to get it done! Timely plays on D (big sacks) and a few really nice throws by Tommy. The TD pass to Belquist was a thing of beauty. On to next week. We should jump in the rankings, and UNI will definitely jump in the rankings with that loss!

Thought I read/heard that Mitchell's injury didn't heal correctly and he had to have another surgery or something. Not sure if he will play at all this year or not. I would assume he would be eligible for a medical redshirt, but who knows. Skokna is good in certain areas, but I'm not sure he has ever been used in a way that is totally effective. Seems like the kind of guy you need to adjust your scheme for rather than asking him to fit into your scheme. At least that is my very amateur take on it. Also agree Red Wilson can probably fill this role and do it better. That isn't a knock on Skokna, I just this Wilson is going to be a dude.

This is another reason to have more than 1 logo. Or at least another variation of our current logo. More options for this type of stuff, as well as merchandise.

Just my opinion, I think we are going to be pretty decent at WR this year. Belquist is a stud. Maag has yet to live up to his potential, hoping it clicks soon. I don't want another Toivenen where he was good in college, but seemed to just pop after college. I get Toivenen is not an every Sunday player (yet), but he has made some catches that I couldn't imagine him making when he was at UND. His hand have really improved. Red Wilson was a great addition. I'm very excited to see what Klein can bring. I thinkg Wright will be a solid dependable receiver. Throw Marcus Preston in the mix. There are tools in the toolbox. Can't forget to mention Caden Dennis as a receiver I'd expect a lot of out next season.

Not sure it says anything. I think everyone at the time was happy with Schuster and Vaughn being recruited. Still pretty happy honestly. I get Schuster isn't going to blow you away and amaze you, he isn't flashy, but he wins. Feeney could still develop, who know. TBD. Hackel was expected to be more of a project, so we will see. I think this Wisconsin kid could be good, though I'm not expert. I'm hoping we keep his commitment, and he is the next guy; even if we have to bridge a year while he develops. Its not like the cupboard is bare. Ideally, you have Schuster/Vaughm into Feeney, then Feeny and Kaminski can battle it out. Have a winning season and a playoff run and who know who you recruit next. College football is constant change and turnover.

The game was effectively over. I think they were just trying to get more players into the game in that environment. More of an experience thing than anything else at that point.

Thats a bold statement based on a very limited amount of work. I feel like we need to see how the season plays out. Who do you think is absolutely better? Cam Miller? Marc Gronowski? Who?
-
Thats pretty crazy, because 19 years I was a freshman in college and making a trip with the band to the National Championship game in Alabama. This was followed by several strong years. But ok.

Score won’t show how close this game was. I’ll take the overall play that I saw. Room to improve sure, but I’ll take it.

This was a far cry from Utah, Washington, or even Utah State. Get hungry and get ready for UNI. Big game next weekend!! Hoping we see a little more offense.
-
Hate to say it but I think that third and long conversion was it. Not over, but we should be pretty happy with this game.
-
Yeah this would be pretty damn weak for targeting.
-
Stinks that when we did look to throw see we had the sack fumble too
-
Noticed that too. That will come in handy throughout the season.
-
Welp, let go defense!
-
Come on Danny! LFG!
-
Looks like a cramp for smith …. Fake punt here?
-
Would like to see some throws beyond the line of scrimmage. Like the pass attempt to louder, just good defense. I’ll take points. Go get a stop. Get MacNaboe goin again!
-
I’ll take the FG. All things considered that was a good hold. Let’s go get some points and stay in this.

Wow, nice!
-
Almost guarantee this will get called. He was looking for the ball, jumped late and tried to protect himself.
-
Pride of NDSU Seth anderson there

Sucks when they called the same thing the other way earlier
