Come out hot, can’t have a 3 and out to start the half.
-
Hoos is a stud! With Fargo logic, he must be a lock for the Walter Payton award, right?
-
I feel like a little pass to zavalney would work well here. The screens are starting to get a little predictable.
-
Siegel! INT!
-
What a turn of events there. I thought Hoos was in but if not let Q punch it.
-
Boom turnover within the 5 yard line. Buckner!
-
Hell of a punt there. Bring full pressure!
-
Just more ugly football
-
Nice conversion there

Red River could move the ball well against this D
-
We really know how to make any other offense looks efficient. this d is pathetic and if the talent was isn’t as good as other years can we change the scheme a bit? Same soft pass coverage.

Even if it was a hit to the back, he was facing open ice. UNO player took a bad bounce toward the boards. It would still be a 2 minute CFB not a major. Show me where he drives the UNO player into the boards. I just didn’t see it and I always try to be impartial on these kinds of calls.

What we have learned here is that no recruit … ever… goes to a school … ever… if they have …. ever… lost a game … EVER!!! #WinThemAll #NeverLose #UNDRecruits

I don’t think that was a dive or embellishment. Just a awkward bump into a guy skating backwards. Seemed shoulder to shoulder, but he bounced off weird. Didn’t extend his arms are drive him towards the boards. Maybe a 2 min boarding if you want to call something but whatever. no clue on the other 5, I totally missed it

What are shots at? I feel like we are just peppering them.

Didn’t look like interference to me.

I like what I'm seeing out of him. Hope they can keep getting him the ball more and more. Would be nice to have the reliable deep ball heading towards the playoffs.
-
Agreed, just wish we had him for more than a year. Does UNI have any other really good backs they don't need next season?

So how much do we dip into the portal during the offseason, specifically for defense? CB, DE, LB? With the way our offense has been moving (losing Hoos and Maag) and the way our defense has struggled, I would think tightening up that D would be a huge priority. Not Petrino style, but if the right guys are there. Also how dependent on landing some of the better transfers is dependent on our success over the next few weeks?

That’s pretty damn embarrassing.

Cool interview. 360 guys are doing a great job with the podcast. I look forward to getting to the office on Thursday mornings so I can listen to the show while I'm working. Not as good as listening to the Nebraska game podcast where I listed to it while I was out fishing, but I guess I'll deal with the office.

Agreed, I though the same thing late in the game, and I think it was like 4th and 14 or something. It would have been a stretch, but I wondered the same at that point.

I'd agree, both! Disappointed in how flat the players came out to start the second half, which the 360 guys commented on. How is the coaching staff not picking up on this and trying to do something? (maybe they are) How are players not getting themselves pumped and excited about being up on the #1 team in their house and wanting to capitalize? How are the captains and leaders on the team not amping up their teammate and coming out ready for a fast start? Would starting on offense in the second half have made a difference? I do think the coaches need to ensure from a recruiting standpoint that they are continuing to recruit playmakers that have the ability to step up and make big plays in big moments, but that is a separate conversation. I've mentioned a bit, but I do question why we tend to see the play calling shift when we are in these big games. Almost like the coaches are scared of what our abilities are in certain situations. Now they are smarter football minds than myself BUT there just seemed to be something lacking in this last week. I liked the flea flicker call, even though it didn't pan out exactly like we wanted. Though in a huge critical game that we are in and needing big plays, we seem to see less creativity than we do against NAU or Missouri St. Maybe it is a huge ask, but I feel like with all of the scheming that Danny has shown, he should be pulling some of those option out in these types of games. Ahem .... we might need that in Fargo! Also, I don't remember if there was even a scenario for a fake punt on Saturday, but how has this not happened yet this year? Is the punter not as fast as everyone has claimed? Are coaches scared to try it? I get you need to have the right field position for this, but C'mon!

Listening to the 360 recap right now and I couldn't agree more with some of what they are saying. Expectations are rising for this program and the players need to start stepping up to match those expectations. This team was up 21-7 on the #1 team in the country and wasn't even playing all that great. That says something about the unlocked potential of this program IF some players start to step up. Does that mean UND will win it all ... of course not. If they curl up in the fetal position and fold they won't even make the playoffs. But if they come together and gel a bit more, especially in tightening up defense (ahem ... force some turnovers) this team could come together at the right time and make some noise. Get it right, build momentum each week and you could head into Fargo on fire and with confidence with another HUGE opportunity. That includes a home win this weekend, another road win (which is critical), a rivalry win against a Dakota school, all building up to a huge game. Now, that is a lot of "ifs" and there is a ton of work to do and players need to have the right mentality in these games BUT can you imagine where this team will be if they were to win out and end with a W in Fargo? That's not a team I would want to see in the playoffs, and if those stars can all align, I'd love to get another shot at the bunnies. Yes, they scored more on us than they have all year, but we also scored more on them than anyone else has all year, and we had the missed opportunities to score more. We play them again and I don't see us giving up all those turnovers. I'm still high on this team and really excited to see where we are at in 3 weeks!
