  1. Absolutely! There are no free games. I am hoping they will come out a bit flat off of an emotional win, but the same could be said for us. Hopefully the late start doesn't impact our guys too much either. We need a fast start like last week, but without the turnovers. Lets put the game away early. Yes, I know they came back against Mt. St, but I'd love to see our back ups play the 4th Q.
  2. Gotta love the MVFC team. Illinois state is on a 3 game losing streak, got it handed to them by NDSU, and only drops 2 spots to remain in the polls at 21. 2-3 and 0-2 in conference. Sorry, they should have dropped out. As for not acknowledging Santiago, its a little ridiculous, but not all that surprising. While UND is gaining momentum, and more fans at the games, it'll still take a while to gain more respect. Stupid, but it is what it is. If this team plays to its potential, they can win out. I'm not saying they will, but they certainly have that capability to, given the schedule and the way this team is progressing.
  3. Is there a link to the game highlights? I was having some streaming issues on Saturday, also spent time with family, so didn't really get to see much. Would like to see the goals.
  4. Its worked the past few weeks, so lets get an early start. We have a nice win streak going here, and IF UND continues to play like it did Saturday (yes, there are still things to clean up), then this streak could go on for a while. Sac St. just pulled out a big win over the Bobcats, but I don't think UND lets them get near as much offense going. Actually, after seeing the Bobcat D, I'm surprise that Sac St got that many point this past weekend. The hornets may have exposed the bobcat secondary, but I don't see it happening again this weekend. UND will get a ton of pressure on Ketteringham and there will be some INT opportunities. This is a team that lost to western oregon, but appears to be pesky enough to stick in their games and keep them close; can't overlook that either. Cody Demps Gary Dourdan - CSI
  5. Agreed, seems to make sense that the more options and combinations we get (eventually), the better. I would agree that white would look sharp, and I would prefer that over black. I think the gray helmets will look fine, but not with gray jersey and pants, thats just too much. Of course they could be wearing hot pink for all I care, as long as we continue down this road to winning and winning consistently, then I'm happy.
  6. I get where some didn't like them, but I thought they looked awesome. Really hope we see gray pants, green jerseys and gray helmets in the future. Once the budget is bigger, both black and white helmets too.
  7. Even a broken clock is right twice a day. Altogether, that was a fun game to watch and I'm glad I made it up to GF. I was pretty impressed with the crowd, though there is still room for improvement; but it is coming along. Keaton and the offense finally had a nice game. Not a great game. Not an amazing game. but a really nice game. Something to build off of. Takeaways: Gordon is a baller. Get him, Santiago and Oliveira on the field at the same time. Stanley is a big boy. Wanzek must be cheating, because he either has velcro, duct tape or gorilla glue on his gloves. Kid makes some crazy catches. Add 15-20 lbs of muscle and he will be scary. Oliveira deserves the name "The Manitoba Moose", kid is a stud. Killed that D lineman 1 on 1 Norberg is also a beast, deserving his share of carries. Defense is just solid all around. Yes they give up plays, but overall they get it done. Shout out for the d-backs. We couldn't buy and INT a few years ago. Seem to drop the easy ones. Now we are winning 1x1 battles and making plays. Love it. Way to step up and win a big game, beat a ranked team, go 2-0 in conference, defend home field, get back on track and ultimately, look more like what we expected from this team. Onto Sac St. Need a big time road win before homecoming.
  8. Agreed, get up big if they can. (Meaning no red zone fumbles, and no keaton tripping out of the snap) I'd like to see heidelbaugh in the 4th.
  9. They should still mix Gordon in. Kid can play!
  10. Great win. Glad I drove up. In true Novak fashion, someone offered me a free tcket the minute I walked into the AL. Also got to meet Keelan Poole's dad. Super nice guy.
  11. Anyone know, can I park right at the ALERUS, and how much is parking?
  12. Not saying you are wrong by any means. I hesitate to compare to last year, because we are a different team and so are they. BUT remember they beat MT last season too, MT smoked us, we smoked them. My point being, a lot of these games come down to the specific matchups and where the talent is within those matchups. No doubt it will be the hardest game on our remaining schedule. I still say we are a more talented team than Stony Brook, but we saw how that worked out. Any given Saturday!
  13. Sounds like they are out, Per Tom M. they are still looking for some $$$ Probably fine too. That would be a lot of Gray. I think Gray Pants, Gray Jerseys and Green Helmets will look nice. Hopefully, Gray pants, Green Jerseys and Gray Helmets in the future; that would look nice too.
  14. Jeez, I get having injuries throughout the season, but for all of them to be season ending it a bit ridiculous. Hopefully Holm gets a little playing time now, otherwise it would have seem a bit of a waste of his redshirt. Also, with Cox .... I'm hoping that turns into be a bit of a blessing in disguise, not because of lack of talent, but because it forces the line to shuffle up a bit and change some things. I think Coe plays with a bit of an edge, so hopefully that helps at the tackle position to open up some outside running room for Santiago. Nevermann is a bummer, as he had to be so patient to get on the field in the first place. Though I was hoping he would have made a little more noise. Will he be back next year, or is his eligibility up? Don't know much about Francis, I assume he was primarily a blocking TE. Pretty sure we have enough guys to slide into that position. Great news about seibel. Hope they try to get him the ball early to get him back into a rhythym.
  15. I just received a message from NCHC that the roku app has been delayed until early November due to delays with neulion developing the app. Unfortunate, but if the app works well, I can live with the delay. Now, can we get the big sky to come out with one? Might be worth trying to launch and email campaign across the message boards to bet the Big Sky to do something. Just a thought.
  16. Just saw a tweet from 2 days ago that the app is available on Apple TV, sounds like neulion is still working on the app for roku and they should have an update in the coming out within the next few days. A little frustrating if it isn't ready for tomorrow, but thats what I've found so far. I'm not sure if anyone else is going to utilize the Roku app, but I'll post updates as I see them, for those who are interested.
  17. So true, if we eliminated half of our offensive penalties, we would probably see a few more sustained drives throughout the game.
  18. I knew that guy looked familiar. Just realized he was my insurance agent.
  19. Completely agree. Pretty much my point, fan support and following, follows winning and success.
  20. It all starts this weekend!! Can't wait!!! Be sure to watch the UND vs Cal Poly game at 1:00 if you can, then onto hockey!! Just found out I've got tickets to, at least, the Saturday night game against the Gophers at Mariucci, possibly Friday. Now there is some awesome new for the week!
  21. Last thing he said was before putting was, "Home soil, right?" Told the media he thought there was no way he would sink it. What a moment.
