Can NDSU go on a losing streak, just so we can host them? It won't happen, but it would be so much fun to see.

and I don't blame him for loving his Grizz, they're a good football team and deserve their ranking. But a lot of his other rankings are very questionable. Again, not saying UND should be way higher than they are. Just question a few of the teams he still has listed and why they have dropped.

It would be a lot of fun. They are the team to beat, and if they are playing at 100%, I don't know if we could win or not. We have the defense to make it interesting, and who knows what we could get rolling on offense ... but that would definitely be a FUN game. I know enough Bison fans to know that as a whole, they are a pretty fun bunch; there are just a few obnoxious trollers that come around, and the BV crowd is pretty terrible. BUT if you went tailgating up there, MOST would toss you a beer and welcome you; and add a little ribbing into the mix.

Agree with most of this. 9-2 would be the best, but if they drop 1 more game, they will still be in. I understand UND has not earned respect yet, but AJ Mazzolini is a total clown. UNI and Illinois St may be talented teams, but polls should reflect W/L, not potential talent. I get that we won a game against a bad team, but isn't that what you are supposed to do? Yes, we have a weaker schedule this year, so the team should be punished for that? Bottom line is we lost 2 bad games, and deservedly dropped out of the rankings. Then we win 4 straight, 2 on the road, and a home game against a ranked Cal-Poly team, and still don't get respect? I'm not saying we're a top 10 team, but what has UNI done? Nice FBS win and beat Southern Illinois; Lost to Montana, E. Wash, USD What as Illinois St done? Played a tough schedule and beat Valpo and a nice win against Northwestern; Lost to E. Illinois, Indiana St, NDSU and Youngstown. I just don't get using the, "Well, the team is better than their record" mentality when actually ranking teams, as it should be off of W/L performances, not potential talent or previous years.

I watched the first period of the hockey game, and then flipped it to football at 8. Early season for hockey. Playing a pretty bad team. Football team is on a roll and there are only so many games. Plenty of opportunities left to watch hockey this season. Football is rolling!

agreed, that one was a bit of a head scratcher. Also, why was Keaton still playing, when the game was well in hand. Heidlebaugh should have had much more playing time than he did, and let the kid make a few passes. That is how he will be ready for if he is actually needed to come into a game and be competitive. A little disappoint with the coaches on that one. No reason to risk injury to Keaton, and no reason to not get Brad some more reps at that point.

Well, another week and another step (err giant leap) forward. There will be a few people eating crow, after stating that this would absolutely be a close game. I'll call it a statement win, because we have been wondering when this type of offensive performance would show up, though it certainly wasn't over a good team. -Defense remains dominant -Keaton looks to be back to last year's form; passing, running, confidence, etc. -I don't like injuries, but the injuries forcing the changes to the offensive line appear to have been a blessing in disguise. O-line has been much much better. -Was pulling Cloyd's shirt a complete waste? He still has time to get involved in the play and make a difference, but not much yet. -IF UND can play like that game in, and game out, there is a ton of potential for this team. Best part, after a slow start, this team has gotten its confidence back. That is huge!

I agree with everything except for the top 8 seed. Not because wouldn't be deserving of it, but because I think the committee would absolutely snub us with those losses. Hope we can find a way to win out, and hope that if we do that the committee give credit where credit is due.

A lot of negative marks on this post, mostly because it is from a Bison fan, but unfortunately it is true, and has already been stated on this boar. We don't play EWU or MT this year, and we didn't win our FBS game (however close we may have been). At this point Southern Utah and Northern Colorado look to be the best remaining teams on our schedule. Since no remaining teams are ranked, the closest we can get to style points is to win multiple games, in the same fashion that we be Sac St. Shows that the offense can be consistently dominant, in addition to our defense.

$500 myn? That should be a sort of nice place then.

Since there was some petty bickering going on, I'm just going to go ahead and bump this to re-start the awesomeness that is #BooBerry -
If anyone is curious about how this compares to when Hak signed his contract with the Flyers.

Newly released video of Lucia after signing his contract extension.

Nobody is saying anything on their forum. Deadly silent. http://www.bigskyfans.com/hornets/ Also, if you want to get to any Big Sky message boards, just go to http://www.bigskyfans.com/

Agreed, if we are as good as many of us think we should be, we should not be playing a close game against Sac St. We should be handling this team to the point that they can't catch up. This is a team that lost to Western Oregon.

Wentz has such a bright future, and it is impossible not to like the kid. He would have more passing yards and TDs if not for some horrible dropped balls too.

He needs to keep finding Wanzek and his velcro hands.

I've asked this before, and I'm not sure I ever received a real answer, but what is the opposition to joining the summit? I for one, do like the Big Sky ... for the most part. About half the teams intrigue me, there are a few that don't, but overall I'm not don't know what the big difference is between Big Sky and Summit .... particularly for basketball. Again, to be clear, I do like the Big Sky conference and am not calling for a conference change, but am inquiring about it. Big Sky and Summit both get an entry into the NCAA tourney. Summit would allow for less travel expenses. Big Sky would keep you with the one overall conference affiliation. Is it the opinion of most or some, that Summit Basketball isn't as talented as Big Sky? I'm not a great basketball mind, so I have no clue, but it seems that the Summit has done better than the Big Sky in terms of NCAA performances, at least recently. Obviously, invitations and discussions need to be had before a conference move were to take place, just curious what the opposition is to the Summit. Personally I think you try to stick in the Big Sky, but eliminate some sports. The athletic department is just stretch too thin. I don't like eliminating sports or opportunities for kids, but that may just be the reality UND has to face.

38-20 UND to wreck yet another homecoming.

Any new update on Santiago and Rooney? Last I heard, it sounded like Rooney would be good to go, but hadn't heard if Santiago was going to make the trip. Anyone?
-
nope, but if you want a preview... Boltmann is back out of the shotgun. 20 seconds on the clock. He throws deep to Mckinney. Touchdown, Touchdown, Touchdown. North Dakota Wins! The defending FCS Nat'l Champs take down the Wildcats! You heard it hear first, and when I'm wrong, you'll all have forgotten this post anyway.

I would like to see some updated mini helmets. I'd consider getting one for me desk at work. In addition to the football ones, they should design a mini goalie helmet. Again I would consider getting one for my desk at work, or for my mini bar at home.
