So obviously we lose a beast in Hooker next season, but I am curious what peoples thoughts are on Marlon Stewart? Looks like he cam in from Creighton, so I assume he has some skill. Is he expected to be a pretty key figure next season? We've seen this team put together good wins when Q has an off night, but to have him consistently gone, makes me wonder, who will step up so we don't have a huge drop off next season.

Right, I'm just saying, you never really know if a team got better or worse, as we didn't really see the kid play. I just know there was a whole lot of potential with the kid. Maybe there were some character issues, and I can see how losing some character issues can help a team, but its hard to know what could have been.

Can't know for sure. Could have been big numbers off the bench. Maybe he would have done nothing, but there was certainly a lot of excitement about his experience and potential.

Wasn't actually disappointed. Obviously glad the kid is making an impact at the next level. Hard not to think about the potential of this UND team with him on it though.

As long as it is conclusively a goal, under replay, then I'm good with that. If that happens I may have quit watching hockey though. Frankly it can't get much sweeter, and I'd be scared for my health after that one.

Haha this is so true. Its the matchup that will make or break your weekend. A Gopher/Sioux tournament game usually means the beer and whiskey will be flowing, which can be very good or very bad pending the outcome. If we do play them, I want to win the game with .05 seconds left

Agreed. The business building was garbage when I was there 10 years ago. There were some nice rooms within the building, usually sponsored by different companies, but the building as a whole needs a major overhaul. When I hit that Powerball on Saturday, I'll be happy to make a nice contribution

good find. I'm sure if he is a good enough player, the coaches will have some eyes on him. Kind of a bummer to watch Nick last night; one because he could still be in a UND jersey, two because he help beat my MN Wild, in what turned out to be a UND Alumni game. Parise, Toews, Schmaltz all with goals. Pretty sure Toews had a couple assists too.

Watching MN vs IA right now. Fran Mcaffrey is so obnoxios. Makes me feel slightly better about some of Jones's antics.

I do think we are actually in a similar, slightly better position to make the tournament than we were 3 years ago, when we barely made the tourney. That year turned into a Frozen Four team. Just have to make the tourney at this point. Then anything can happen.

Yep, agreed. Sweeping WMU will be not easy task though. I'm hoping Jost is back and ready to go and him and Boeser lead the charge. Need to win, but also need to play more complete games. Correct, we don't play CC. Should have been Miami. A team that I consider similar to Omaha; more talented than their record. Hate having off weekends with no hockey.

Makes sense to me. A sweep against WMU would allow a little room for error against CC, but losing another to CC could definitely hurt us. Hoping we get Jost back against Western to add a little energy and motivation. Maybe Hak can call the boys and give a little motivation for a late season run

Makes sense. It really is more about the pairwise than the conference. BUT it would be good to get home ice for the NCHC playoffs. winning some playoff games would definitely help us. Wins at W. Michigan would be Huge. (Sweep would be HUGE) Losses against CC would be devastating. Omaha will be very interesting, as we smoked them in Omaha. We have struggled at the Ralph, and they will likely want a little revenge.

So we just need to win out and do well in the NCHC tourney and we wrap up a number 1 seed in Fargo .... possibly with a little help .... easy peasy.
