  1. Agreed, tough to lose to DU, but that was a very fun frozen four to watch. We snuck 2 or 3 cases of beer up into our dorm room in a hockey bag before the game against the Gophers. Bottling clinking and clanking down the hallway. Great time!!
  2. Any of the great basketball minds out there... Did Hooker get screwed out of the MVP, or did Wiley deserve it over him?
  3. Anyone know what are chances are for Jojo Henderson, or if he has the talent to play immediately?
  4. Other years, I'd be ok with this. This year, and the way UND has played against those top NCHC teams ... no thanks!
  5. He was an absolute monster that could open giant holes as a Freshman. As for our redshirt Freshman, may they will turn into a strength, but they are unproven. You can't call potential a strength until they get out their and prove it on the field.
  6. Nice to see Trevor Olson stepping up and getting on the stat sheet. Need some of those players, who are not big scorers to chip in, and add a little depth to our scoring. Great to see.
  7. So, it is now guaranteed that we will either be playing in the NCAA Tourney or the NIT. Correct? Didn't someone on here write, if you win your league, but not your tourney, you get an autobid into the NIT?
  8. Yes, NCHC app on Roku is consistently a few minutes slow. Which I could care less about, unless I habitually look at my twitter account and see an update.
  9. Didn't the coaches just get a raise during this winter? Not saying they shouldn't continue to happen, but I thought they just got a bump?
  10. With Kevin Maurice leaving, I'm going to throw this out there to generate a little discussion: Bubba isn't going anywhere, but IF he decided he was done tomorrow, who would be on UND's radar. I'd like to think the school tries to have a contingency plan for those kinds of scenarios, but have no idea. Would UND open up a national search? Is there someone currently on the staff who would be capable? Schmidt? Like I said, Bubba isn't going anywhere, and I hope he sticks around for quite a while, but just a "what if" kind of scenario.
  11. That is one of the greatest websites for college hockey. Absolutely love the analysis and projections. Great resource.
  12. I think that is fairly reasonable. But I still think there needs to be a degree of discretion by the officials. There are plenty of times where you see a dangerous play resulting in a major penalty, but the player on the receiving end pops right back up .... usually angry, but altogether fine. Those players should not be punished because some one else took a cheap shot.
  13. Really sucks. Guy did a great job recruiting.
  14. Here it goes ... Another attempt at being positive .... another bode of confidence .... another week of hope. This is the week the boys start to put it together, and get some payoff. We have seen these guys play poor and lose some games (last Saturday), we have seen these guys dominate play, but with no results (W. Mich and CC); this is the week it comes together. Sweep, secure home ice, get a little help, be back in the NCAA tourney picture.
  15. Not arguing with what you heard at all. That could very well be the case. If so, I guess I would seriously question what the hell Jones was thinking. IF that was the case, maybe you still have the guy dress, and at least be available to come into the game if needed. I didn't realize that Seales was out of the lineup until well into the first half, and I kept wondering why I hadn't seen him yet. Could have really provided a spark into the offense last night. Altogether, it was just a disappointing game, and a tough one to watch, especially with how this team has played all year. Props to Sac St, they came in with a plan and maintained it the whole game. Obviously not a great offensive team either, but they completely shut us down. Oh well, on to Saturday! This is still a great team, with "hopefully" a lot of basketball left to play.
  16. That is what I read, but not sure that makes sense, since he is there.
  17. Wow, not only do I want to see that kid on our team, but I don't want to see him on teams we will be playing against. Kid looks tough and fast. Good hands too. If you can add another 20 lbs on him and have him keep his speed, he could be really dangerous.
  18. Haha, just trying to mix it up a bit. But I will agree, these things are far more successful with football for the reasons you listed. Like I said half of these guys look like clean cut politicians. Still, I have to think someone could find a pretty good replica of Blasi or a couple of the guys.
  19. Anthony Louis Andrew Lincoln (Rick Grimes)
  20. Kiefer Sherwood Josh Brener
  21. This is what it comes down to guy! Huge weekend for UND Hockey; time to pull out all the tricks, including the look-a-like thread. It obviously served the football team well last fall. Hockey players are a little tougher to do, as most of them tend to look more like politicians, but lets give it a go. http://www.miamiredhawks.com/sports/m-hockey/mtt/mioh-m-hockey-mtt.html
  22. Watch him rack up some interceptions now I like the move myself. Definitely, a lot more depth at WR than a few years ago. As has been said, I like a kid that is willing to switch positions and do what is needed to stick with a program. Hope it works out.
  23. For sure, definitely hope it works out. Kid has the big rangy body, I'd love to see him make it work. Just not confident it will, sometimes those position changes work, sometimes they do nothing. I wonder if he played CB at all in high school.
  24. Santiago as a Sophomore. Sure, lets go with that.
  25. Will he come in next season then? Play another year with a development team? Move to the USHL?
