Agreed!

How is that recent Borgstrom goal not in the bracket? His moves were ridiculous. Yes, Tyson's goal is far better. No, Tyson's goal would not win it this year. This is where you want Schmaltz or Caggiulia to add some dazzle.

Nah, I'm pretty sure I saw that guys standing in the cat walk at a football game. Hood up and all.

Actually in the past 5 years we've had Weber (15), E Wash (13), Weber (16), Montana (13), Montana (13). Though most of those years the Summit was still seeded higher. I believe the Summit was seeded at 12 twice in the past 5 years.

Zimmerman will be the backup. I believe SFI has already hinted at this. Zimmerman just needs a little time to get into the system, which he will continue to do this spring and summer. I have no doubt he will be the #2 this fall, and will (effectively) bridge the gap between Studs and Boltmann. Heidelbaugh sounds like a good athlete, but has a slow release, and granted his one career pass was a TD, but I don't think it gets any uglier than that. That TD was 100% credit to Wanzek. Bolinske also sounds like a decent athlete, but I do not see him being the #2. If he is, that is due to the coaches lack of success in finding quality depth, or Bolinske stepping up far beyond his HS recruiting projections.

Very interested to see what Hunter Pinke can add to the mix.

At risk of being mean, the EGF goalie looks like he is fresh out of mites. -

Congratulations to Coach Jones! I've never been the biggest fan, but he did well this year. Keep it goin!

I believe there is usually a dance going on in Shelly, MN

In the last 5 years, they have made the tourney 3 times, being seeded 12, 13 and 14. This year, I'll give you the use of inferior team ... and they will still be seeded higher than UND, if we make it.
-
ok, I'm done for now.
-
And then there is Brad Berry at about 9:45 on Saturday!
-
Just throwing it out there, but what logo is on the wall?
-
Just wait for Saturday ...I'm pretty pumped for it!. UND will have won handily on Friday. I'm betting the boys will be down by 4 on Saturday after 2. Coach Berry will leave the locker room ... Coach Bombay will walk in. The team will change jerseys before them come back out wearing a sweet Sioux Hawkey logo (For new hawks and old hawks), and UND will put 6 on the board in the 3rd! .......before being DQ'd for rules violations.

UND wins 88 - 74. -
Right, but come tourney time, the quality of the teams can have a significant impact in seedings. I'm not talking about person preference on cities, I'm talking about team caliber and RPI. Heck, lets throw your in your example ... I'll take Sioux Falls 10 times over. That place has been packed for conference tournaments. This year attendance in SF was 9,441. Last year in SF attendance was 10,188. Last year in Reno, attendance was ....2,516!! Like I said though, my main point was competition wise. Right you you have an 8-8 (Summit Conf Record) team, that will likely be seeded higher than a 14-4 (Big Sky Conf Record) team. Sound like even if you are a good team in the Big Sky, you are being dragged down by the conference?
-
Those are my favorite Fighting Hawk jerseys!
-
Not sure when Lunardi's lated projection was, but he still had us at a play in game. I guess it will be a wait and see scenario.
-
ok, follow up question then. Personal opinions of the Summit aside, from a conference standpoint, why were so many people opposed to the Summit? I believe even a 8-8 (conference record) SDSU has a higher RPI than a Big Sky leading UND. Looks like SDSU will get a 16 seed, while UND could end up in a play in game. Seems to me that making the move to the Summit is a solid move for the program, and not just because of travel cost or attendance.

Doesn't Providence play Notre Dame this weekend? I would think a Notre Dame sweep would almost flip flop the two teams? Would a split be more beneficial here? Obviously I haven't run the numbers.

Question regarding selection to the NCAA Bball Tourney. Obviously in the Big Sky, you have to win the tourney to get the bid. BUT could statement wins, or basically dominating the tourney impact our seeding? For example, lets say we walk through the tourney, playing the toughest competition possible, or somehow end up playing SUU in the finals and just squeak out a win. Does that impact our seeding between a 16 or 15 at all?
