I'll be the first to admit, I was also excited about Carrasco based on what his highlight film showed. However, we need to curb our enthusiasm on this kid as I heard so far he looks nothing like the kid on his highlight film and has struggled pretty bad to this point. I'm not sure if we can expect much from this kid at all moving forward. Just goes to show that highlight films should not be the only basis of evaluation and also shows why coaches want to watch game film. Now, Tyrhe Ivery on the other hand.........

Yeah same here. My HD/DVR receiv er doesn't get the game, but my regular Direct TV receiver in my bedroom gets it?

UND's win at Northern Iowa in 2006 was the best and worst thing to happen to the football program. It proved we could compete at the FCS level with only 36 scholarships against a ranked team, but it also hurt in the fact that nobody was jumping at the opportunity to play us, especially at our place. That hurt scheduling opportunities for sure because of the risk teams took in playing down and scheduling UND as a transition team. Nothing to gain and everything to lose for them. Maybe the 3-8 season we had last year will lend itself to less respect in scheduling? Scheduling typically was done in the past by asst. AD's who are no longer in the athletic problem. Obviously the AD's have to sign off on the game and approve it, but I'm just not sure scheduling was being done by the right people in the past. I know 2011 is rough, but hopefully it changes in the future moving forward. I believe Sean Johnson is now in charge of scheduling.

Again, objectivity and debate are great. Never said anything to the contrary. I too question what UND does and how they do things at times, both administratively and in athletic competitions. Go back and re-read what I wrote: Curious what made you reply to that......did you feel like I was calling you out?

Show me where I have said that I dont have high expectations for my UND (my alma mater) and dont want the best for it. Also, where I said I will settle for mediocrity? Do I agree with everything they do and have done? No. But I dont come on here with my hair on fire and start acting like the sky is falling every time something happens that I dont like. Is that prerequisite in order to not play second fiddle to anyone? It's one thing to be objective, which is great. It's entirely another to be overtly pessimistic and negative all the time. Some people ONLY are heard on here when the bad stuff happens, and I despise that. The overall climate on this board has changed dramatically over the last 2 years or so. I wouldnt say for the better either. I dont frequent here as much as I used to because of it. Sorry for getting off-topic. I will now yield to the topic at hand...

I'm not making an emotionally-charged rush judgment on all this yet. I'll give Faison and Kelley the benefit of the doubt until PROVEN otherwise. IF proven otherwise, so help me...... I do know however that Douple has proven over and over again that he is a piece of _____, and a puppet for the NCAA PC 'higher-ups'. One thing is for certain: If Douple DIDN'T tell Summit/MVFC conference members to not schedule UND in the past, he FOR SURE will be doing it now. Good luck getting SDSU, USD or NDSU on the non-conference schedules in the future. I wonder if a school like USD would still do it regardless of what Douple says? It just makes too much sense. Will there be a Patty V/Douple spiteful joint venture on this? What would the possible repercussions be if a school went against the wishes of its commissioner in scheduling us? The proverbial dominoes on this have only begun to fall.
