  1. My point is that by not attending the games, you decrease the attendance, which decreases ticket and concession sales, which affects UND's future scheduling. I don't for a second believe that Faison cares about what we post anonymously here. Like you said, that is painfully obvious.
  2. Ok fine, that's your prerogative. Stay home then. Just realize that instead of helping solve the problem you complain about, you are actually adding to the problem. But by all means......carry on with your tirade on scheduling....
  3. Bottom Line: Go support the team no matter who they play so that we can afford to get FCS teams in the Alerus for the non-conference schedule in the future. If we want to HELP solve this problem.....we should simply go to the games and support the program.
  4. Congrats on Broadmoor!

  5. Even if the Herald did do some digging on this, there is no way in hell the MVFC or the Summit would publicly admit that, even if it is true. Wish this wasn't the case.
  6. Yeah, I tend to think Air Force will give us problems. I hope I'm wrong though. Winning that game will be tough. Regardless, still a great ending to a season that brought a ton of improvement and hope in the coming years after the transition.
  7. Wow, this is a sad day.
  8. Why would ANYONE, Mac included, regret standing up for what they believe in? I also don't think this will affect his next election. There are MANY other important issues that his District 42 constituents will probably judge him on when they vote next.
  9. Not sure why you choose to post this way. Your passion is noted and your heart is in the right place, but your emotion always seems to get the best of you on here. Reminds me of someone else years back. I'm not perfect either by any means, but I always try post on here like I am talking to someone face-to-face. Disagreement is fine, but you take it to another level. I disagree with not only the majority of what you say most of the time on here, but how you say it. Besides that, you have no idea if what you say will come to fruition. None of us do, not yet. Could some of it happen? Sure. But we simply don't know the results yet. Let it play out. I'm still torn on all of this. The worst-case scenarios for both outcomes were/are bad. Calm down, relax and come back with a level-headed mind if you decide to post here again. This is not the end of the world for UND, athletically, academically or otherwise. Who knows, it could be the best thing that ever happened to UND. Wait and see.
  10. No, it's not. Mac is much more well-spoken.
  11. That's an interesting statement and number from you, even though it isnt backed up by any facts and simply isn't true. How many years was it before Fargo last hosted a home playoff game, prior to last season?
  12. Scott Frost Just one example off the top of my head, I know. Many coaches end up coaching the opposite side of the ball because they already understand what one side of the ball is trying to do the other. Some of the best coordinators in the game actually played and/or coached on opposite sides of the ball. He's a coach's kid, played 6 years in the UND system and coached college football last season in Wisconsin. Probably remembers the responsibilities for the RB's from his playing days still like the back of his hand. One of the more cerebral and successful UND QB's in recent history. It is understood that if you want to be a successful coach, you will have better and more opportunities by coaching both sides of the ball. You make yourself much more marketable this way. That's just my thoughts on it. I think Danny will be a great addition for UND.
  13. What concerns you about Freund coaching the running backs? Just curious.
  14. Can't wait for spring football to see the freshmen on the field

  15. I'll be the first to admit, I was also excited about Carrasco based on what his highlight film showed. However, we need to curb our enthusiasm on this kid as I heard so far he looks nothing like the kid on his highlight film and has struggled pretty bad to this point. I'm not sure if we can expect much from this kid at all moving forward. Just goes to show that highlight films should not be the only basis of evaluation and also shows why coaches want to watch game film. Now, Tyrhe Ivery on the other hand.........
  16. Yeah same here. My HD/DVR receiv er doesn't get the game, but my regular Direct TV receiver in my bedroom gets it?
  17. Anyone hear the final of today's game? Last I heard it was 4-2 Shockers.
  18. What a great schedule...
  19. 28-24 UNC. We are getting dominated on the boards on both ends and not making free throws.
  20. That is my understanding and what I have been hearing as well.
  21. A 3 page game discussion thread on UND mens basketball.... Refreshing. The light at the end of the transition tunnel is getting brighter. Thank you, Big Sky. Go Sioux.
  22. Good win, Sioux.
  23. UND's win at Northern Iowa in 2006 was the best and worst thing to happen to the football program. It proved we could compete at the FCS level with only 36 scholarships against a ranked team, but it also hurt in the fact that nobody was jumping at the opportunity to play us, especially at our place. That hurt scheduling opportunities for sure because of the risk teams took in playing down and scheduling UND as a transition team. Nothing to gain and everything to lose for them. Maybe the 3-8 season we had last year will lend itself to less respect in scheduling? Scheduling typically was done in the past by asst. AD's who are no longer in the athletic problem. Obviously the AD's have to sign off on the game and approve it, but I'm just not sure scheduling was being done by the right people in the past. I know 2011 is rough, but hopefully it changes in the future moving forward. I believe Sean Johnson is now in charge of scheduling.
  24. "WE WANT COACHDAGS!!!...." "WE WANT COACHDAGS!!!...." "WE WANT COACHDAGS!!!...."
