  1. Wow, that is too bad. First and foremost, take care of yourself and get better Tim. Secondly, I look forward to hearing your voice on the radio again soon.
  2. Clairvoyant Ole saw all of this coming and we are screwed at QB in 2011 and beyond.
  3. Thanks for the objectivity, Johnny. +1
  4. Oh my that is hilarious. Classic stuff. "Yay Jack Michaels!! Welcome aboard to ndsu!!.....(insert fightingsioux.com link)........I mean, BOOOOOO.....Jack Michaels sucks!!! What a friggin' joke!!" Honestly, that lakesbison guy is one sick pup. Someone get that psychotic personality disorder some help.
  5. One word: Awesome.
  6. Unfortunately, I think this is an absolute necessity. We have some talent and depth issues at safety which is probably what prompted the position change for Hawkins. I think this is the best way to get the most talent on the field, especially in nickel situations as you could have Mersereau, Hawkins, Brown, Hall and Mackey all on the field at the same time. If any of the corners slip up or get injured, hopefully the Watkins improvement discussed on SFI will help. He really had a bad season in 2010 and if he can make a positive contribution this season, I would consider it a bonus. In my opinion, we are dangerously thin behind Mersereau and Hawkins at safety, but we have some decent depth at corner. Hall & Mackey need to learn to tighten up their coverage now when needed in certain down and distance situations. They have the physical talent and confidence, now they just need to add the mental game.
  7. Thanks Jim.
  8. Is there a UMD Bulldog message board forum somewhere? I tried to look for one, but didn't have any success. Any help would be appreciated.
  9. Why......feed.....the......troll?....
  10. What?!??! Now don't you go bringing up fiscal responsibility. That just makes zero sense. Agreed again - it goes back to people who complain up and down about the schedule and then don't go to the games to support the very cause they are passionate about. Go to the games.....that would give you a MUCH bigger reason to complain. Show your displeasure with the product you just paid money to see. Again, let me reiterate, I don't like these D2 schools on the schedule either and I seriously wish we could bring in better opponents right now, but we are simply getting what we can afford. I'm not asking ANYONE to like the D2 games. Go the games, fill the Alerus, and our athletic department's ability to schedule FCS teams will increase in the future.
  11. It's official: http://www.fightingsioux.com//ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=13500&ATCLID=205124849 Welcome back, Luke Schleusner! We've missed you. I think Luke will be a great addition to the UND staff. Good hire by Coach Mussman. EDIT: Sic beat me to it by a minute....as always.
  12. My point is that by not attending the games, you decrease the attendance, which decreases ticket and concession sales, which affects UND's future scheduling. I don't for a second believe that Faison cares about what we post anonymously here. Like you said, that is painfully obvious.
  13. Ok fine, that's your prerogative. Stay home then. Just realize that instead of helping solve the problem you complain about, you are actually adding to the problem. But by all means......carry on with your tirade on scheduling....
  14. Bottom Line: Go support the team no matter who they play so that we can afford to get FCS teams in the Alerus for the non-conference schedule in the future. If we want to HELP solve this problem.....we should simply go to the games and support the program.
  15. Congrats on Broadmoor!

  16. Even if the Herald did do some digging on this, there is no way in hell the MVFC or the Summit would publicly admit that, even if it is true. Wish this wasn't the case.
  17. Yeah, I tend to think Air Force will give us problems. I hope I'm wrong though. Winning that game will be tough. Regardless, still a great ending to a season that brought a ton of improvement and hope in the coming years after the transition.
  18. Wow, this is a sad day.
  19. Why would ANYONE, Mac included, regret standing up for what they believe in? I also don't think this will affect his next election. There are MANY other important issues that his District 42 constituents will probably judge him on when they vote next.
  20. Not sure why you choose to post this way. Your passion is noted and your heart is in the right place, but your emotion always seems to get the best of you on here. Reminds me of someone else years back. I'm not perfect either by any means, but I always try post on here like I am talking to someone face-to-face. Disagreement is fine, but you take it to another level. I disagree with not only the majority of what you say most of the time on here, but how you say it. Besides that, you have no idea if what you say will come to fruition. None of us do, not yet. Could some of it happen? Sure. But we simply don't know the results yet. Let it play out. I'm still torn on all of this. The worst-case scenarios for both outcomes were/are bad. Calm down, relax and come back with a level-headed mind if you decide to post here again. This is not the end of the world for UND, athletically, academically or otherwise. Who knows, it could be the best thing that ever happened to UND. Wait and see.
  21. No, it's not. Mac is much more well-spoken.
  22. That's an interesting statement and number from you, even though it isnt backed up by any facts and simply isn't true. How many years was it before Fargo last hosted a home playoff game, prior to last season?
  23. Scott Frost Just one example off the top of my head, I know. Many coaches end up coaching the opposite side of the ball because they already understand what one side of the ball is trying to do the other. Some of the best coordinators in the game actually played and/or coached on opposite sides of the ball. He's a coach's kid, played 6 years in the UND system and coached college football last season in Wisconsin. Probably remembers the responsibilities for the RB's from his playing days still like the back of his hand. One of the more cerebral and successful UND QB's in recent history. It is understood that if you want to be a successful coach, you will have better and more opportunities by coaching both sides of the ball. You make yourself much more marketable this way. That's just my thoughts on it. I think Danny will be a great addition for UND.
  24. What concerns you about Freund coaching the running backs? Just curious.
  25. Can't wait for spring football to see the freshmen on the field
