Again, objectivity and debate are great. Never said anything to the contrary. I too question what UND does and how they do things at times, both administratively and in athletic competitions. Go back and re-read what I wrote: Curious what made you reply to that......did you feel like I was calling you out?

Show me where I have said that I dont have high expectations for my UND (my alma mater) and dont want the best for it. Also, where I said I will settle for mediocrity? Do I agree with everything they do and have done? No. But I dont come on here with my hair on fire and start acting like the sky is falling every time something happens that I dont like. Is that prerequisite in order to not play second fiddle to anyone? It's one thing to be objective, which is great. It's entirely another to be overtly pessimistic and negative all the time. Some people ONLY are heard on here when the bad stuff happens, and I despise that. The overall climate on this board has changed dramatically over the last 2 years or so. I wouldnt say for the better either. I dont frequent here as much as I used to because of it. Sorry for getting off-topic. I will now yield to the topic at hand...

I'm not making an emotionally-charged rush judgment on all this yet. I'll give Faison and Kelley the benefit of the doubt until PROVEN otherwise. IF proven otherwise, so help me...... I do know however that Douple has proven over and over again that he is a piece of _____, and a puppet for the NCAA PC 'higher-ups'. One thing is for certain: If Douple DIDN'T tell Summit/MVFC conference members to not schedule UND in the past, he FOR SURE will be doing it now. Good luck getting SDSU, USD or NDSU on the non-conference schedules in the future. I wonder if a school like USD would still do it regardless of what Douple says? It just makes too much sense. Will there be a Patty V/Douple spiteful joint venture on this? What would the possible repercussions be if a school went against the wishes of its commissioner in scheduling us? The proverbial dominoes on this have only begun to fall.

Valpo is a great D1 game. Just ask ndsu. In all seriousness, this game will look great compared to some others on the 2011 schedule. We all need to hang in there and see 2012 at the end of the tunnel. 2011 home schedule will be brutal, no sugarcoating that....however, this team needs WINS going into 2012. 2011 will be the last year we have to worry about having bad schedules. 2012 home schedule and thereafter will be awesome. Thanks BSC. I dont expect everyone to be happy with the 2011 schedule, but hang in there. Remember, 2012 is not that far away. The team and schedule will be better.

I agree. If it was just an issue of just getting the Board of Regents to sign off, then what is taking so long? Are they out of the country or what? Presumably, USD got the invite when UND and SUU did, which at the latest was on Friday. It's now Wednesday.

USD is making me a little nervous. It benefits us to have them with us out there. The Big Sky is a great conference still without them, but it would be nice to have another Dakota school with us. I wonder if Patty Viverito maybe finally sees what the future holds with the Big East expanding and the domino effect it could have on the MVFC? Working diligently behind the scenes to get the conference to go with adding USD maybe at warp speed? I hope not. Ahhhh, the Big Sky...

I hope everyone will go out and support this senior class in their final home game of the season against a quality opponent and fellow BSC football member, UC-Davis. Most of these kids came in the class of 2006 with a lot of uncertainty out there regarding the transition to Division 1. Lets thank them by sending them out in style with a good home crowd this week. Last week was disappointing to say the least. They deserve better. See you there.

That press conference was surreal. Hard to believe we are BSC-bound right now. I have a feeling that the 2011 schedule will be a stinker. However, all of us need to remember, 2012 is right around the corner.
