Rylan is having a good season. He's not a Spirko, Stafford, or Zajac type player. He never was. He's a Rory McMahon/Chris Porter type player. If he excells offensively at all, I'd expect it to be in the assists department.

Duncan looks to be quite a quality player thus far. It's really tough genetics on his size. Again, the NHL will pass him over because of it. I'm sure of it. I'm not sure if Fleury was drafted, but regardless I can't remember the last player under 5'9" that wasn't a goaltender that was drafted.

Spirko is not drafted and is no longer eligible. He's 20 years old. He probably wasn't drafted because of his size.

An interesting sidenote on what is defined as a former player. Josh Siembida looked "stellar" last night only allowing 5 goals in a miracle OT victory for Quinnipiac over Windfred Laurier. Now, in defense of Josh, perhaps Winfred was a decent team and Quinnipiac didn't recruit any defensemen the last four years. It is a possiblity. Edit: Changed it to Quinnipiac. Merrimack and Quinnipiac: both schools that are easily mixed up because both are worthless hockey programs.

I only caught a little bit of it, but the few things I heard were that Prpich is back in the lineup and that Bina will be getting some ice time in Orono. Not sure who is sitting, but my guess it will be Radke.

Also, didn't Sawatske (UW) leave for the USHL? It says he left for the Canadian Junior leagues.

I've heard as much about UND recruiting Bradford as I have UND recruiting Kessel: Nothing. Bradford has narrowed his choices to BC or Minny. Being a Sioux fan, I'm hoping BC between those two. Bradford seems to be the real deal. ***** I did see Duncan play a year ago when he played in a tourney at the Ralph. He was pretty good, in fact, offensively, he was probably the best offensive player on the ice if you forget Okposo or Toews.

Yeah, I like Porter's play. It's why I liked him last year. He never stops moving! He isn't the flashy scorer, but he's the nitty gritty worker that every scoring forward needs.

We were a balanced team last year and we mentioned Zach a lot. You realize that Howard is the best goalie they've had in a LONG time. I don't mind them focusing on the goaltender. Hey, Buffalo focused their whole team around Hasek one year and went to the Stanley Cup finals... with the same result In any case, Howard is the real deal folks. He doesn't make many mistakes so we have to make it count every time.

I think I misheard Hannan when he was announcing Sioux players parents. Towards the end of the announcing, he said something of a forward #7. I know that Bo isn't a member of the Sioux anymore and I can't find any mention of walk ons on the roster. Is #7 Moreland's number?

I predict a split. We lose Friday, win on Saturday (reversing our trend last year regarding splits: W Friday, L Saturday). I think penalties will be a factor. I've heard Hockey East refs are as bad as ours. And Penner was the guy I was talking about who went to MSU Bottineau.
