$$$$$$$$ perhaps?

Perhaps, but I don't recall the press release stating anything other than the fact that he resigned.

Was it ever announced why Hennan quit?

I don't know what year they are in school at Shattuck, but the ladies team would take a giant leap if they could snatch both Lamareaux sisters. From what my neighbor tells me, they're drop your jaw amazing hockey players.

Not really a reach considering that Chucko had a mediocre year at best and moved up to #2 on Calgary's Top 20. St Louis was interviewed quite a bit about the pick of Oshie and they said that it was their intention all along to draft TJ. They loved what he brought to the game. It is interesting that Cogliano was their second choice.

Inside College Hockey combined already drafted with undrafted players so, I would expect players like Skille to be ranked higher than Toews. Rau has all the makings of a great college player while Toews has been critiqued from the angles of being a dynamic pro player. It's all subjective. On HFboards.com, they have Toews going 3-4th overall in the 2006 draft so I wouldn't get too offended by the Inside ranking system. Besides, overall, we have 4 forwards in the top 20 listed. That's got to mean something.

This is a good thing to hear! Especially on Finley's skating ability. The bigger they are, the more skating becomes a concern. I still think it sucks that it's still over 2 weeks away.

The first guy was good! The second guy wasn't bad either but it only got worse the rest of the way. Kudos though to the last guy who tried as much as he could to be the least like Hennan of the group. However, I'd cringe if he were a finalist. Did they challenge the announcer with the names that are somewhat hard to pronounce? Like Toews, Rastislav Spirko (I don't think his name is hard, but Woog proved that it's possible), Prpich, Matti Kaltainan (ok, he's graduated from BC, but I think this name is damn hard to pronounce. It's pronounce Kalta -eye-nan btw), etc?

Here's an interesting thought. The move of the band to the lower bowl means that those fairweather "fans" that come for certain series in the General Public side won't complain about student language. They'll be too busy complaining about how the band is too loud The big thing I can say with the band is: over the past 2 years, the quality of the band has gotten progressively better and better. Now, all they need to do is keep the brass from overblowing and learn new material (not crap like Soak in the Sun). The other question is: How is this going to affect student seating in the lower bowl? The band takes up space so, what does this mean for us in the lower bowl?

You know, as much as I'd love some fireworks vs. Denver, I'm thinking Hakstol will have the team so tightly wound that nothing will happen outside of the yapping coming out of Prpich's mouth. Just my guess. Hakstol has such good control over the team last year I don't think it will be any different.

TJ Oshie is rated as 2nd on the Blue's Top Prospect chart on Hockeys Future.
-
No, I didn't think I'd ever see him take a stand like this. Because of this, my opinion of him has gotten slightly better. It's not going to replace the vacant stares he gave me whenever I talked to him or the feeling you were being ignored whenever you asked him a question, but at least now I have something I can put in the 'pro' column.

Will the NCAA ever make a ruling? It's getting ridiculous!

What's the best thing about North Dakota

I'd say the people here are the best. They tend to help people they don't know. Slid off the road near Reynolds, ND on my way back to Grand Forks and 5 cars stopped to ask if I needed to use their cell phones. I have had people give me money when I came up just short. People give tickets to events if they have extras. It was very nice. I've also been impressed with the schools. Teachers rank 48th or 49th on the national pay scale but the waiting lists in Grand Forks and Fargo area school districts are a mile long. -
It appears as though Matt Jones made a great impact at the Coyotes tourney. Here is the Hockeys Future article.. The info is half way down the page.

Did you read the first post? SiouxFootballField or whatever his name is, really only wants to start smack wars between the two schools and within UND (hockey sucks, football rules etc etc.). I think it is testimony to the rest of the posters that it hasn't turned into a smack fest.

Devils Top 20 Prospects on Hockeysfuture have been released. Two Sioux in the top 5 (#1 and #3).

I think he means SIOUX, but down here in Fargo, I can tell you that they don't teach much for spelling. Remember, though I don't know if it is still under effect, NDSU said they wouldn't call us by any other name than UND or University of North Dakota. So, obviously, their students decided that learning the name of the Sioux is not necessary. Tony- You're excluded from this. I live in Fargo currently and I can tell you, not everyone is as stupid as some of the "winners" we get coming here.
