Maybe that would make the Red Wings break a sweat after playing the Wild. Right now, I don't see what else the Red Wings would do to stay fit. Beating the Wild is only a what... 20 minute work out with a 20 minute warm up and 20 minute cool down? Hell, I've probably broken more of a sweat walking on a treadmill for 15 minutes! Seriously, Minnesota pro teams don't have the ownership or the front office to be considered competitive in any capacity (and I include Wilf in this ONLY because we haven't had a full season for him to prove himself. We'll know more about him about this time in 2007). Seriously, Minnesota has only two teams that can be considered genuinely talented teams: The Gopher men's and the Gopher women's hockey teams. Otherwise, you'd have to leave the state in order to find a team that's worth a damn.

Leave your day job out of it!

Wow. Maybe there is some truth to NCLB...

Oh dear lord, there's MafiaMan again!

OH is that the one where that guy put the puck behind that other goaltender dude and increased the score by one unit insomuch as to result in the team wearing Green to win?

And the small letters spelling "Made in China" on the bottom

That's not fair. What I think will be: E) Sign with the team, get 3 games in the NHL and then spend the rest of his contract in Houston where he'll be allowed to walk. He'll then get signed by another team, make the NHL, and score his only NHL goals vs. the Wild

Ummmmmm... you went on vacation and when the cat's away......

And here I thought it was because they didn't have a roster spot for him now that they got PEaves in the NHL...

I didn't know Oshie had a brother!!!! WAY COOL!!!!

Blais leaves North Dakota PCM, this is all your fault!

I don't know but I definitely think that this is yet another reason why we should fire Hakstol.
-
Thanks for all of this, Siouxdonym. By the way, if you listen to the commentators on the Zajac Michigan goal, you'll understand why I had such a problem with them. Blah blah blah Oh by the way, Zajac just scored. nevermind about the pass Oshie made to set it up.

And if Bo signs, we'll pretty much have to state that Zach Parise will sign with New Jersey as well...

My favorite so far is still the JPar quote.

I just loved the fact that Marney Gellner, Doug Woog, and "that Other Guy" had to yell into their microphones in order to be heard.

All these coincidences are freaking me out.

I refuse to say that a freshman can be the most improved player on the team simply because of the fact that there is no other seasons to base the improvement on. However, if we are talking about which freshman has grown the most in terms of his play on the team, I agree with mikeypat15. Joe Finley started out squeamish and almost too hesitant to play the kind of game that Coach Hakstol coaches the defensemen to play. Now, though he's not quite the monster Smaby is quite yet, he's come the farthest among all other players on the team. As for who is the most improved player on this team? For me, that's easy. Kyle Radke. This guy was brought in heralded. Supposed to be drafted in the 4th or 5th round and instead went undrafted. Then was supposed to instantly start scoring a la Nick Fuher. Didn't happen. He barely cracked the lineup. When he did, he was a liability his freshman year. This year, he's gotten better and better and better and ranks iamong the top of the team in scoring defense. His defensive play has been solid, not spectacular, but certainly worlds better than what little we saw last year. And he's developed an attitude that our D are known for. If I were to say who was the runner up, it would have to be Rylan Kaip simply because he's worked so darn hard and never gave up even though the guy is the most snake bitten player I've seen offensively since Ryan Hale. His attitude and defensive fortitude will become huge for the team next year as he steps naturally (even Prpich says so) into the role vacated by Mike Prpich. There are many who stepped up their play this year on the ice and off the ice. In fact, I could come up with a list of the players (known as a roster) and state pretty much why each player on the team deserves this award.

Well, he's banned. I'm sure he can still read the threads, but I don't know if the ban is permanent or not. That's up to the Administrator. Being that he's already been suspended once (at least) I hope it is permanent.

My thoughts: Those who are or barely are draft eligible (realistically. I guess there's no real reason without using google, that anyone over 19 can't be drafted): Zach Jones is draft eligible. If he's going to be drafted at all, look for him to be drafted later than the 5th round. Jonathon Toews: I know he's listed as being the projected #2 pick overall, but I see him going #3 or #4. No real reason why. Hunch. Michael Forney, IMO, is listed too high. I've seen him as high as #13 overall, and as low as perhaps #30? People have said anywhere from mid first round to early 2nd round. I think I'll hold to that. Genoway and Marto won't be drafted. Trupp and Lapoint will be drafted but I see them being something like 3rd or 4th round picks. Zajac? I could see him going in the 5th round and I can also see him going undrafted. This is anyone's guess. My hunches.

Here Here! Unofficially, Coach Hakstol is dedicating this Frozen Four to the "Fire Hakstol" campaigners. I mean, when's the last time a first time head coach (of ANY school) went to the Frozen or Final Four in his first two years of Head Coaching? Heck, Hakstol isn't better than Gaspirini or Blais yet, but he's certainly not the worst coach I've ever seen either.

Too bad. You'll never know now unless GK can hack into another user's handle here and try to answer it. Slightly off topic but: GDM, Administrator, or whomever it was, I wish to personally thank you for ridding us of GK. I don't like those kinds of people who feel that the only way to fight racism is by being racist in return.

Right. As I see it, here are the options in this area: Milwaukee Grand Rapids, MI Green Bay Chicago (United Center) (laugh at this one) Fargo (FargoDome) Wherever the Iowa Stars (AHL) play Detroit
