Me thinks you might have overreacted... I don't think anyone is looking to bite anyone in the a$$... except maybe Thetriouxper, buckysieve, and occasionally Diggler.

Billy Ocean? Sheesh!

Thank you Bob Barker.

And cauliflower ears!

Deserving it because of hard work with nothing to show for it (Spirko) is different than deserving it because we took our talent for granted or were entitled to it (Gophers). Spirko has worked so hard during the year and hasn't gotten much to show for it. I say he finally gets one that matters and it turns into the game winner.

4th place isn't good enough of a finish? Huh. I'll trade UND's spot in the standings for a fourth place finish 7.5 days a week.

A nice hotel for a great team.

Who is 'they'? I have absolute faith that next season will be an entirely new one with the National Champion as much in the air as this year.

Apart from two Gopher supporters that post here, you're absolutely correct. There have been sour grapes other places (Stafford's ESPN chat was a good example in there). But 99% of the Gopher fans haven't really done any complaining.

I have Spirko down as the game winner... It will either be Spirko or Oshie for the game winner, but I think Spirko deserves it.

So Fargoans can see how much crap they spew and have spewn over all time? Yeah, that's not too flattering for me, having lived in Fargo for most of my life, but ....

Two things, I guess. First, I don't think it was as sharp of an angle as you suggest. It was just to the net side of the faceoff circle just inside of the boards. A sharp angle, sure, but not one that is that challenging to score from if the conditions are right, which they were. Second, McGregor had a LOT of net to shoot at thanks to Briggs completely playing the pass (which, wasn't a stupid thing on his part, because the initial shot by McGregor that went off the skate actually was a pass) and was totally out of position and basically out of the play when the puck landed back on McGregor's stick. That's my opinion anyways. I hope they relax, have fun, and enjoy themselves in Milwaukee (the Sioux). They've done so much for us already and even if things don't go well for us, I'm still proud of the boys.

College hockey has a hall of fame? If you are asking why not the NHL hall of fame, it's probably because, though he did have a good NHL career, it wasn't a Hall of Fame worthy one, IMO. Yeah, sucks to say that about a UND player, but I just don't see Hall of Fame numbers from Hrkac's career.

Oh no she di'int!!!!!

Lovin' this.

Please. chandler23 is a cousin loving hick now because he wished us luck. Seriously, chandler, thanks. We appreciate it. To be honest, we're going to need as much luck as we can. BC is a good team with an astoundingly good goaltender.

Ok, I admit first off that I am one of those people (not NHL expert, but still one of those people) who think that Johnson will never wear a Minnesota sweater. However, never say never. Jack Johnson was supposed to be in Carolina following the draft and he didn't go. He did pretty well in Michigan this year. Carolina tried to sign him again and they failed. Though I don't believe Johnson will suit up for Minnesota, I don't think it's entirely out of the question either.

A-wah? I never weigh in on those chats. Don't have much to ask.

I agree. Why should a person like buckysieve (who actually started out here as an interesting poster) be taken seriously when he calls us a bunch of "cousin-loving hicks?" Seriously, dude, Leave. When two posters tease you (whether rightfully so or not) and you start generalizing entire fan bases and site visitors by those two people, it's time to leave. You're making the point of those who call Gopher fans (in this case) arrogant and classless. OR, you could recant the insulting name calling, apologize and work to restore your credibility with those who were wrongfully cast in such an insulting manner. Of course, now watch as you refuse to do so and further the cause of those saying that you yourself are classless.

Of those mentioned, I'm inclined to believe that Kessel will be back barring he doesn't go #1 overall for one more year. Goligoski leaving is news to me, even if it is just a rumor. I think he'll be back and be VERY VERY surprised if he bolted. As for Erik Johnson, I'll tell you guys what, his stock better plummet and quick because if it doesn't, I am highly doubting Erik dons the Minnesota 'M' if he goes any higher than #2 overall. There's question of Toews returning if he goes high enough. His stock, in my extreme unprofessional opinion, is rising and that's saying something if he's projected in some cases to go #2 overall. To be honest and selfish, it's best for us if Toews goes lower.

Rumor has it that you are 43.56% full of it. Any truth to that?

You mean you do something OTHER than slapping the wrists of the young hooligans with that ruler?!? As for a quote, I liked what Gwozdecky said of our forwards. something like "When their forwards get the puck, all hell breaks loose." Though I can't remember which article it is from. Probably that Boston one.

I know, but even if it is over sooner than we hope, I'm still very happy with this year's men's team.
