So, HockeyMom and RWD have a love triangle with Chris Porter? What's Sioux-cia's role in this debacle? Are we sure we are talking about astronauts or just plain space cadets?

So it isn't the same thing that many sucker.. I mean people paid $99 a season for?

Some interesting thoughts come to mind with this: 1. What about those who subscribed to the webcasts? Since it is now free and they paid for it, it certainly doesn't seem fair... or is this a different thing than dataflix? 2. If this is dataflix, what does this say about the program? Once again, the "powers that be" are seeing the aftermath of an improperly executed program (to recap, I argued that Dataflix should have been free of charge for at least the first year of operation in order to test market response and address issues that arise during high demand webcasts. They didn't listen and it's been relatively disasterous since).

This further indicates your status as a "closet Sioux fan." No self-respecting Gopher fan would click on those links.

Who worries about Hightower?

You know what? I don't believe anyone who says Paukovitch won't make the NHL. I think he will. If Boogaard, Brashear, Cam Janssen, and the like can make the NHL, then Paukovitch will as well.

Well, I'm sick and tired of not being able to get the senior discount at Perkins.

I got one on my 28th birthday.

Greene isn't turning out to be the best fighter out there, but he is good for standing up for his players. That's ok because standing up for your players and being defensively responsible are much more important than being a good fighter.
-
He's going to shoot himself out of canons and have a chicken girlfriend named Camilla? Seriously, though, I agree with Shawn-O. Toews will be gone after the season ends.

Nothing, really.

It doesn't surprise me at all. I think McLeod knows that his officiating crew isn't very good but he's unwilling to make changes because that would tell everyone who has been criticizing him and Greg Shepherd that the criticism was warranted. McLeod and Shepherd are too prideful and power hungry to really be able to be man enough to make needed changes. Give him all the grief you want, but if obstruction was called, both UND and Minnesota would benefit immensely and MSUM and UW would not.

That's ok. I think Gregoire is good, but I think he's not a first round pick either. He could be a 2nd round pick, though. That being said, he could be a "Gretzky special" and go something like 20+ spots ahead of where he should have been picked.

I understand, but my dislike for the Gopher hockey team is nowhere near as high for other Minnesota teams (Vikings, Gopher football, Wild, Timberpu$$ies.. one note: I take the Twins on a year by year basis. Last year is over. I'll wait to see what this season is turning out to be before I make my mind. Yeah, fairweather but they aren't my real team anyways) so I have no problem with Minnesota winning out. It was said that we should root for MTU and UAA to lose so that they don't become TUC. So...

Hard opponents this year for the Sioux: SLU - ranked played at a time where the Sioux were just starting to play well and hadn't put together two straight solid games in a while. Dartmouth- Ok, this team overall isn't stiff competition IMO, but we were playing Dartmouth at a time where we were having a sizable winless streak going on. Quinnipiac- Ranked UW- Ok, they are having a slump filled year, but please look at our games vs. UW and tell me they were easy. UMN- Ok, we swept them. Ok, it wasn't even close (save the first periods both nights), but was the outcome ever assured? I didn't go into that weekend thinking we'd sweep. I was praying for a split! BSU- This team is getting better and better. Maine- At the time the best team in the nation. They've sort of swooned but they're still very competitive. Teams we will play: DU, SCSU, and any of the teams we face in the playoffs.

You'd think, but I'm not so sure. Ottawa pulled the plug after Bo got injured. Chicago pulled the plug after he didn't put up great numbers while getting brought up and sent down over and over again. Boston probably won't bring him up much and won't expect much and won't give much of a damn. Just my thoughts. It's really too bad because Bo deserves a real shot at the NHL.

Yeah.... don't be so gullible. Crap-ola meter should have been flying off the chart. This was merely a joke aimed at teenagers.

I just have a few things that I'd like you to help me clear up: First, if my friend is an idiot, I have to make the same mistakes and be as stupid as he does, getting myself in trouble in the process, in order to be a true friend? Why should a person get in trouble because his friend was stupid? No, I'm not saying bail on the friend. If you are committing the "crime" along with your friend, then stupid is as stupid does and both should pay the price. However, if 18 year old friend goes out some night and gets drunk and gets caught, why should I be expected to, as an 18 year old, go out there and get drunk with him? Sorry, I like my friends and cherish their friendship, but if my friends do something stupid, I'd rather be what you define as a "good" friend than go down with that ship. I'm no co-dependent. Quick edit: I'd rather be there for my friends rather than be there with my friends if they do something stupid, you know what I mean? Sorry for my rather blunt take on that statement.

Ok, I'm a cynic, but here's my early Bochenski prediction with the Bruins: He's going to mimick Goren's path. He'll continue to do well at the AHL level, the Bruins will say how excited they are to have a scoring talent like Bochenski, use Bo for maybe 10 games or so and then wave goodbye as his contract ends. I'm also starting to believe that he'll never get a real shot at the NHL.

His penalties usually result in his attempts to play a more physical game. I am wondering, for those who saw VV in Lincoln or at Moorhead how physical he was. If this is a relatively new aspect to his game (even if it started in Lincoln) that could explain why he's taking so many penalties. And "so many" isn't that many. He's played really well as of late. The scoring will come in time.

With Cardinal going Donald Trump all over FHG and FHG threatening to torch houses and calling his players the likes of "pipsqueak" and "Richard Nixon" will the game actually commence or will the GPL team drop the gloves on their coach before they can even drop the puck?

Touche' ---------------------- Couldn't give PCM the pleasure of a second, one word post.

In my opinion, Grand Rapids is the easiest bracket (meaning I think the Sioux could beat any of those teams) and Denver hosts the hardest top to bottom. UND's bracket still has some punch to it. Minnesota still has to be respected despite it's lousy performance. Michigan MIGHT be able to steal a game. Really, Sacred Heart is the only "gimme" in that bracket.

I don't know how this whole thing works, but I'd rather get Nash and Toews before I'd think of Connelly. With Gregoire committing to DU, I think that REALLY helps our chances with Nash. What surprises me is that Nash dropped Cornell from consideration. I thought he'd keep that avenue open longer.

Here's an on topic question: I probably missed the answer but: How can recording something off of a TV station such as FSN, ESPN, and the like and then selling said copies NOT violate copyright law?
