I agree with whomever said Duncan will basically have to rewrite the record books. That really is what is going to have to happen this year. He'll have to finish the year leading the NCAAs in goals, assists, points, PP goals, +/- (not that this is a consideration, but why not?), saving lives of babies and ending poverty in Grand Forks (off ice contributions), and score the winning goals in every game up until selection. Hobey Hensick if you ask me. Brown from Notre Dame and Kevin Porter have an outside shot. They'll probably round out the final 3. Curry misses the final cut.

I can go for that. Mannino has had our number recently. If Gwoz knew what he was talking about, he'd play Mannino both nights. I can't imagine Fisher would have a better record vs. UND than Manino.

I just want to see the Sioux make the NCAAs. Any scenario that has us making it, ANY seed, is fine by me.

He's a 2008 just like Toews is and did relatively well as a Junior this year. What other plans he could have are a number of things. He could still go Major Juniors or back to Europe as well. Who knows.

Don't know what chances we have with Novotny. I haven't heard if he's even been looking at schools at all. Yes, he's at SSM. Doing alright. I just happen to like players that come from that neck of the woods.

I agree. I'm sure Geoff would love to have all of the Sioux players thinking about him this next weekend. The more that think about him the less that are thinking about the game and that's when DU runs all over us. Make Paukovich into an also ran in a way. Yeah, he's on the ice, but apart from the defensive responsibility, he doesn't exist. Nothing pisses off a hated oponent more than running up the score.

I like Erstad and all, but I'd rather get Toews first and then worry about others. And there are a ton I'd love to see wearing a Sioux uniform: Stepan Novotny David Toews Travis Erstad Zach Budish Riley Nash Aaron Ness And these are the guys I'm able to recall off the top of my head.

Nice rationalization, but it is directed at someone who enjoys Sioux bashing almost as much as TC Transplant does. I think our Defense and goaltending are the only two entities that didn't take a nosedive. Yeah, we allowed 2 goals on Friday, but we give up on average of 2 goals a night usually anyways. If it weren't for the wouldas and shouldas and couldas, we would have swept.

Great Prediction there! I predict that the Sioux will either sweep, split, take 3, take 1, or get swept next weekend too. Seriously, DU has NOT been playing well and, as this weekend shows, UND does not respond well to the trap (IIRC DU plays this game style as well). I want a split. MAYBE we can get 3. But I really don't think our play has even stayed the same since the tie against MSUM. I think we're still playing good, but not great. Phil's play has stayed the same despite leading the WCHA (and probably the NCAA) in weirdest goals allowed.

Just dandy. If you recall, though, I'm a fan of Lee's. Just one that is so overwhelmingly tired of all the Lee-bashing that it's become almost a mantra for me. I don't know why. I won't do it any longer.

Don't bother. Just blame in on Lee. It is the easiest thing to do.
