  1. You can have all the California kids you want. Have at it. UND has 4 transfers and 14 high school commits right now. You're smart.
  2. Funny fact: In Bohls' first D1 year at NDSU (2004) they had 8 Juco transfers and 3 FBS/D2 transfers on the roster. Almost like he didn't like his current roster and knew he had to make immediate upgrades while developing the high school kids.... Sounds familiar.
  3. There is a difference between UND fans cheering for SHSU or CC and NDSU fans cheering for the Gophers, who they love to hate so much.
  4. The football team has 16 or 17 commits and 3 of them are transfers. That means 13 or 14 high school kids.
  5. You can already tell their classes are down. The Gophers get most every MN player they want now and other schools are getting in on the other MN kids. If FBS teams offer, they are getting them now vs 5 years ago. The biggest thing is Kill is not overlooking hardly anybody. If the kid is good at all, he is getting a PWO at the very least.
  6. Kind of like when Bison fans openly cheer against UND in the NCAA tournament or Frozen Four via BV, Twitter, Facebook. It was ridiculous last April. They resorted to siding with the Gophers, that is how pathetic they are.
  7. Your classes are not getting better and better. You need to look a little deeper, last years class started out great and then was backfilling with leftovers all January. Hell, they offered 4 of UND's commits I believe last January.
  8. Can't argue with the exposure, an obvious advantage. They get to showcase their school, dome, and fans. Then, they can go into homes and tell the kids that they play on ESPN twice a year at least, lately. That being said, it is one small factor and wears off as the recruiting process goes on. But, it could be a tipping point when recruits look back.
  9. Northern Arizona just beat St. Marys on the road. St. Marys is a pretty damn good team and just beat Creighton a few days ago.
  10. NDSU wins two games in a row and we got their basketball 'experts' coming over to tell us about how the sport works.
  11. We will stay tuned and see how it plays out, Chief.
  12. I get what you are saying. But this is contact #3 for Jones over nine years. How many chances/contracts does he get to prove himself? Maturi was smart enough (dumb enough to hire him) to not extend Brewster at all once he saw the product he was getting on and off the field.
  13. Yes we all know that. But UND's got much, much better and will be better than it was next year also.
  14. He is saying his winning percentage is .100 on the road
  15. Why do you think he got to year 4 of a 5 year contract? $$$$$ They gave him a shot to fix it which all coaches get, he didnt, and fired him once the buyout was low enough. They didn't keep extending him for doing a below average job.
  16. ...and fired him promptly once they realize the mistake. Give them credit for admitting it.
  17. The other thing that isn't instilling any confidence in myself or others I have talked to: recruiting. Nine transfers on one roster is not recruiting. If he had a nice base of high school kids and a few transfers to plug holes, then one could project out and say things will get better. When the base of your team is transfers that does not give the fans any hope that he is going to be build anything. It says he is trying for a quick fix and flying by the seat of his pants, year to year.
  18. What is his record as a coach? Listen, I like UND basketball. I really do having followed it for over 25 years now. But, this groundhogs day scenario crap is getting old. There is a reason that USD fired Meierkort after his 6-5 season. They saw that play already and knew what the ceiling was. Why Nebraska fired Pelini...they had seen 9-4 year after year and realized that was the ceiling. These are proven firings, not hypotheticals. Pelini couldn't beat any good teams, only inferior one's. Ring a bell? They guy has been here nine years and had a losing record overall. Why would anything change in the next nine years?
  19. Let's give Bubba nine more years and see if can achieve a winning record. If not, he is gone. Those other coaches, they don't stand a chance. Too cold, right?
  20. Well, you better demand for the weather to warm up then. Jones doesn't stand a chance in this climate. And get the guy a damn video board. How the hell is he supposed to win road games without a video board?
  21. Nobody can win at UND. NOBODY. Get it through your head already!!! We are lucky to even have him stay as long as he has. I am sure he has had many other offers to move on. It is too damn COLD. 17-17 is the best that any coach could do at UND and we should all accept that fact.
  22. Sounds like their isn't a coach alive who could win at UND. I say let's take that challenge and find out. The guy has had nine years to show he cannot overcome all of those insurmountable obstacles. He has a losing record and this isnt the 80s, coaches don't get 10 years to try and do something meaningful...anything.
  23. Honestly, yes, Myself and others would like to hear the positive side of what he is doing for the program.
  24. So he should bring in a ton of transfers to try and right the ship. That tells me he is looking to save his own ass in the short term and still have a job. Because the team will be devoid of talent again in 2-3 years.
