I believe he was 22 when he signed. 18-21=3 year deal 22-23=2 year deal 24=1 year deal -
Had lunch their today. Outstanding as usual!

In Fargo 1. Romos 2. Moe's 3. Pancheros 4. Chipolte 5. Sweeto Burrito 6. Qdoba
-
So is that A or B?
-
Technically it was true. But disingenuous at worst, ill-informed at best. unless 8%=33% But since you went back 40 years in another post to come up with 3 NFL stars from FCS, for the sake of argument lets pretend that FCS and College Hockey advanced the same number of players to the professional ranks even though the numbers are not even remotely close. Which caliber of play is going to be higher? A. The sport with X number of players spread out over 125 teams B. The sport with X number of players spread out over 60-65 teams

To be clear. I am not the one calling it a JV title. I said I would be thrilled if we won an FCS title just as I was when we won a D2 title......but anyone comparing the quality of athlete in D1 hockey vs. FBS football is delusional.
-
What you have just said......
-
idiotic huh.
-
It will be interesting to see if Nick plays Center? They only have 4 righties in the forward group which is why it is very surprising that Tuch, Garland, and Roslovic were all left off initial roster.
-
I would be ecstatic if UND was able to win the FCS championship in football......what I wouldn't do is try and equate it to an FBS football title or a D1 hockey title. At the end of the day, UND and NDSU are playing for 129th place in football and I am perfectly fine with that. Living in Fargo it seems that many of the fans in town fail to understand the distinction.

Yeah. Because you could never explain the history of the whole fascist NCAA created debacle to them if they weren't already aware.
-
But not likely many of the 5 who up voted your post.

I am not sure how the Gophers can accept that game. There athletic department policy prohibits them from playing against teams with hostile and abusive nicknames unless it is a conference game.
-
Nope. Regionalization hurts the Big Sky as well. I have no problem acknowledging that the MVFC is the top conference and 2 of the Big Sky teams lost to MVFC teams in the playoffs and one lost to pretty good and experienced Sam Houston State team at the wire. The FCS "playoff" bracket is what it is and that is a tournament to be run as cheaply as possible and not to necessarily advance the best teams. I think you could have sent any of SDSU, Montana, Portland State, UND, Eastern Washington, and S. Utah on the road to the Richmond and/or Colgate section of the bracket and you would have a pretty good chance that any of those 6 teams would still be playing football next week.

I thought he was in WITSEC

I agree. Just pointing out that we didn't open the job up when Dale left and the timing probably wasn't right for Bubba but if he had still been on staff he likely would have got the gig.
-
Sure did. Guess we may see who is correct.
-
The timing for Dale was good. The timing for UND was bad.......but it could have been different. What if Mussman had gotten the UMD job instead of Bubba(I believe it came down to the 2 of them). Would Bubba have been a good hire in 2008 if he had been on staff vs. being 22-21 at UMD...obviously Dale may have asked him to go with but he may have been named head coach then. He left UMD the same year but if I remember we didn't open the job up.

I have heard through the grapevine that a certain Athletic Director has had conversations with 1 or more of the names that have popped up here recently in order to gauge possible interest should a certain division 1 basketball program be in need of a Men's Basketball Coach next season.
-
And after the game, Saul said no more to even playing Moorhead in exhibitions any longer. Last year, Moorhead State put a beat down on UND in a closed door exhibition game and regularly ran NDSU off the floor in pre season joint scrimmages.

I think we have more depth and guys who can get hot from 3 point range than we have had in a couple of years.....Bernstine seems to have a good idea of how to keep his options open and make the good pass back outside when the double comes but if he and our other post players are not able to score on the block then as teams get the scouting report on us we will see a lot of man to man defense where teams don't double the ball on the block against us and dare our bigs to finish when we make the post entry and even some 3-2 zone looks.

I have already said top 4 Big Sky finish or it's time to make a change. I don't care about being young or needing a guy at this spot or that spot. It's Brian's program and has been for 10 years. Part of being a college coach is planning for the future and he has failed miserably in this aspect as it seems every year is back to the drawing board.( will give him credit for riding the Anderson, Huff, Webb class but when you take a shot on 1 class like that it needs to payoff). That said, what I and a few others it seems, don't care for is a couple of twerps who obviously don't know jack s%it about sports and are probably great at their jobs that are working hard to come up with "great" 6th grade level zingers like a couple schoolgirls. By the way, our A.D. is doing his due diligence should the time come to make a move....and it is. I hope things don't come apart to the point we would have to finish the season with an interim coach but barring a pleasant surprise from Coach Jones and this team I think the writing is on the wall for this being his last season at UND.

From looking at the stats it looks like no one besides AJ could knock down a 3.
