I wouldn't say the name sucks, it is just generic. At the risk of being even more generic, the "fighting" part of the name should be dropped as it makes it sound like a 5th grade travel basketball team. The logo on the other hand is an embarrassment to the University and will be as long as it remains. As far as other nicknames and marketing concepts, there were easily a 8-10 that would have and could have been far superior to what we are trying to market currently. It is unfortunate but the whole process was amateurish.

That number is a little steep. We are more in the neighborhood of 250-400k a year in lost licensing revenue.

The "official" nickname for this location was "The Sweat" due to all the letters in the Sweetheart Bread sign being burned out except SWE T. This is also the location where "jesus" usually worked.
