  1. Teams feels like it's taking shape, a little bit. Was told Sendo likely gone, Hainer likely back. Kleven, Gaber, Frisch will get offers, but are all likely to stay. Calder could entertain pro offers as he's getting older and needs top 6 minutes. Sounds like we'll bring in a portal D, Blake, McLaughlin, Strinden and consider either a portal F or if no one is a fit, bring in James. I like it a lot.
  2. After watching this and seeing his numbers, I like this move more and more. Grew up wanting to play for MSU. I'd be interested to see what other schools recruited him. Really nice numbers his second year at NTDP. Fought through net battles his first two years, had two very good upper class seasons on a team that was below average. Seems like a hard-working kid that also seems very talented. I like it a lot.
  3. I like his numbers against some really solid offensive teams in the Big 10 and a below average defense in front of him.
  4. Didn't we learn in kindergarten that a pattern has to have third repetition?
  5. Lol literally took the words out of my mouth: https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/und-hockey/michigan-state-goalie-drew-deridder-to-transfer-to-und
  6. Are you sure?? I never once saw a camera angle that confirmed it was offside. Piecing it all together, a completely fair assumption could be made it was off, no doubt. However, the call on the ice was onside. I'll never believe they saw anything definitive.
  7. Yeah, it'd be Bast, Johnson and then portal/freshman. Good points, here. Livanavage with a year under his belt at that point wouldn't be a bad thing, I agree.
  8. Sorry if I missed that before, @AJS. That's interesting and I'd love to know what happened and if Bubbs missed something, here. That could change the narrative a bit either way. Maybe he saw a better immediate opportunity with DU since we expect to have Jasper? That's brutal.
  9. Maybe he could have benefitted from playing one more year in junior, like we asked him to? My point is here that it definitely seems like Bubbs and company missed with Rizzo, but they get it right way more often than not. Judging him on this miss doesn't seem fair.
  10. Interesting! That would be news to me. Begs the question of why, but who knows.
  11. Lol ok... 88 career games, three seasons. Career stats: 6 goals, 6 assists -- 12 points. Bubbs made the right call, here.
  12. I guess I think of depth as in a guy who won't be consistently in the lineup. I am fine with bringing in Livanavage to get him up to strength, but would also be completely fine with a stopgap transfer guy who is already ready for the college game and let Livanavage (gosh that's hard to spell, but I'll get it lol) simmer for one more year in junior.
  13. Can certainly play that game the other way, too. It is what it is, IMO. I think it's unfair to judge Bubbs on that wholly, but I get it.
  14. I think part of what give him some space is where he is in the lineup. I don't see him as a top 6 because he needs to be able to finish more, IMO. He gets that space, in part, because he's playing against "softer" parts of the opponents' lineups. With that said, if he starts potting, he absolutely needs to move up. He's always sniffing out the puck.
  15. Man, if he figures out how to finish consistently, he could really contribute stats wise next season. He's always finding a way to make a play and get free, it seems like.
  16. My guess is Tim is saying that out of frustration. He played his physical game last night pretty well, IMO. I think he stays and logs top minutes in all facets.
  17. Because of one miss? Feels a bit harsh, but Rizzo agreed, I'm sure he isn't happy with how well he's played in Denver. Hindsight is 20/20 and it happens. Do you feel the same way about Ryder Donovan? Everyone was devastated around here when he went to Wisco...
  18. And I totally thought he was ready to go, too. I hope Kleven stays and I think he will.
  19. They're hurting for a whole team lol. Doesn't mean the need to hot shot him. Could they? No doubt and I bet they'll offer Kleven, but I think he should stay... I'm obviously biased lol.
  20. I think we'll go depth D in the portal and not bring in a freshman D, but I think your logic is perfect. The rest of that, I love. Totally agree. No reason we won't be a player big time this year. Love the outlook for 23-24, too. Imagine if Gaber stays all four....
  21. I think he goes the the USHL and I agree, would be great for his stock if he did.
  22. Why? They clearly trust us. The Sens are not a Tyler Kleven away from contending.
  23. Yeah, I don't know exactly what all happened. Regardless, I wish we had him. He had a terrific year.
  24. I won't say what I was told about the Morrow situation, but from what I was told, I don't care what he does as a college player from here on out, I think it was the right choice for him to go elsewhere. Rizzo, I think was a miss based on this season, no doubt.
