  1. Meh. 2016 exercised all the demons, for me. Now it's all about the whole of the program and recognizing how great some of those teams really were.
  2. I think the 20-21 team was better overall. I felt like 2020 we were playing with house money because a lot of guys exploded in their development. 20-21, basically everyone came back and we added Sandy, Kleven, and Gaber. All in all, is 2010-11 to me and it's not close.
  3. Coming into today, I wanted to avoid four teams for as long as possible -- DU, Western, Minnesota, and UMD. I'm happy with our draw. With that said, Notre Dame isn't a fantastic draw for us. Very, very good defensively. They pressure the puck like crazy and are a fast, hard team. I've seen them play against Michigan (went 4-0 against the PWR No. 1) and they forecheck and back check like demons. Not a dominant offensive team, but incredibly sound. I would have preferred to play UMass, but c'est la vie. UND is gonna need to play the with the pace they carried against Western in the third period on Friday, which is the same pace we carried against them in our sweep of them a few weeks back and when we swept Duluth. If we get that game, I think we move on. Mankato is very good, but not as good as they were last season, IMO. Harvard's puck moving D is going to give them a run. I like our chances. If we play our game, speed, short passing, effort... I think we have a great chance to head to Boston.
  4. Need? Na. Want? Absolutely. Kid looked dominant against CC and if some how he's better and we're still playing, he's absolutely going to be in the lineup and would be nuts to think he shouldn't be.
  5. Lived in Schenectady, which is essentially a suburb of Albany, until I was six. Wish I could go. Cheer loud, man!
  6. Sendo - Friday Frisch - Saturday
  7. AHA: AIC / RIT / Air Force / Mercyhurst ECAC: Quinnipiac / Clarkson / Harvard / Colgate HEA: Northeastern / UMass / UM-Lowell / Connecticut CCHA: Minnesota State / Bemidji State B1G: Minnesota / Michigan NCHC: Denver / UND / WMU / UMD
  8. Haven't touched a lot on the actual game this week. I'm feeling weird about this one. Frankly, I just wish it were next weekend right now lol. With that said, I always want UND to win and carrying momentum into the NCAAs is a big deal. Would love to see this team knock off a really good Western team again in front of what is sure to be a hot, pro-UND crowd. Good guys in green win, 4-3. Gaber, Frisch, Costantini, Ford
  9. Yeah, but the glass is full of my tears, so it is what it is lol
  10. Sure we did. Over two years
  11. Me too. He's gonna be missed. I was really, really hoping, and frankly, expecting a couple more moments from him. He showed it on Friday. Such a bummer.
  12. Not sure I think it's fair for a kid to take basically one hit ever, get injured, and then be questioned for being injury prone. That was a very hard hit. Not something that'll happen a lot to him in his career, IMO. What you are both saying, I totally get, I just question the narrative.
  13. Was anyone wondering if he wasn't before his hand got cut open by a skate on a freak play? Not that I've seen. So, what changed?
  14. 11-3 without him. We'll be aight. But, I do want him here lol.
  15. THIS is the rational emotion that we should all have. We're bummed to see such awful luck for him.
  16. People blaming this kid for getting hurt and then basically saying he shouldn't go to the NHL (you look like you're kidding about it, but not others) because of being injury prone are mental. We all wanted to see him more, but it's pretty effing gross to say any of these injuries suggests negatively on his level of commitment or his future prospects in the NHL. Would love ANY one here to saw this garbage to his face. It's clown stuff. Why do we do this crap? It's gross.
  17. Pure insanity how anyone could think this kid is injury prone. Blows my mind. Didn't expect this response to his injury today, but I should have seen it coming. We've got people on here scorning Sandy for, well essentially, trying to save the puck from going into the net to tie a playoff game. The mental gymnastics...
  18. So, this page of this thread is officially ridiculous.
  19. He got hit by a professional in the Olympics and had his hand cut by a skate. C'mon.
  20. Yeah, and he tiptoed around hit. Coward.
  21. I feel like the concept was funny, but he bailed on it too quickly. More of a backstory could have been good. I'll admit, I cringed when he talked about the Omaha incident.
  22. I'll bet it pisses Jake off, too. Regardless of his future, he wants this for UND so badly. He's all in.
