  2. Scoring in hockey as a whole has changed big time, too. But, this fits your narrative, so I get it lol.
  3. People are saying disrespectful things directly to the recruits? Ugh that's so obnoxious! Definitely not coming off at snapping at me and I wasn't intending to make Huber sound like less of a player by guessing he's non-scholly. We're good!
  4. This. I love hearing when a player has character. Seems cheesy at times, but I think effort is a big deal.
  5. Lol alright, well yes not ALWAYS the case, but, I'd be very surprised if he's a scholly player. Anyway, the point still stands.... Gerisch isn't being replaced this late in the game. He would have had someone in the pipeline at the 3 and 4 year mark as a potential replacement.
  6. Btw, I just reread this an if I'm coming off that I'm trying to insult you, that is absolutely not my intention whatsoever! I hope you aren't feeling that way.
  7. A kid coming in at his age and at this late of the game is a non-scholly.
  8. We were plus 1 in recruits for next year before Gornall decided to leave early. We already were bringing in an extra forward. Gornall left. We then added another recruit, bringing us back to that plus 1. The addition is to replace Gornall's spot. Adding a player like Huber isn't replacing a guy like Gerisch in the pipeline. He's non-scholly. You replace a Gerisch-like player with a scholly player and his spot is recruited for.
  9. Nice! I'd love to see that. Having Simo as a fourth line center and not a second or third, suits this team better. With that being said, I feel we should be able to sweep Miami regardless. Wouldn't mind letting Hoff rest for Clown, but I guess it should be all hands on deck for this team, at this point.
  10. I never said that whatsoever. I was commenting on your overreaction. "Heads rolling", "unacceptable", bolds and italics....
  11. My lord, settle down haha.
  12. I'd be pretty surprised if he can get back to the States in time and then readjust to a massive time change in time to play meaningful hockey.
  13. Which answer did you think I was guessing? lol
  14. Are you pointing out that it's called the Frozen Faceoff or just continuing the trend of being a tremendous curmudgeon about this team? I'm pretty sure I know the answer
  15. Again, this does not matter. We already had enough recruits to cover the amount of fowards leaving due to graduation AND THEN we added depth. Then, we lost a player and then got that number back to where it was. Gersich's spot would have been planned for previously as he's a drafted and scholarship player. They would have recruited a player to replace him and not added a depth, non-scholly player at this point. This move IS NOT any indication that anyone is leaving. It's depth.
  16. Spot on, Mr. Oxbow. SnapFace the boys and tell them this is the plan, k? In all seriousness, UND showed this against Omaha. 5 on 5, we dominated. Wasn't close. Should be the same against Miami.
  17. We're one-stop shops!
  18. And would get us into the dance.
  19. Yeah, 10 years... like, you know, 6 years shorter the time that this thread has been buried. What are you trying to accomplish here?
  20. And I'll come and buy them from you when the team is 10-7-5 in January
  21. I just don't understand what I'm missing here... Ok, so we already established that we had enough forwards to cover losses to graduation, an even one more with depth in consideration, right? .... So, we lost another in Gornall. We got an additional player. Now, we have the number we had before.... Plus, a scholarship-type player like Gersich is replaced by a scholarship-level player, which is already done previously in the pipeline, not this late in the game.
  22. I'm assuming this is in the U.S., right? Taking a look at the medal count, I think this is an easy discussion. Not a lot of stars in our Winter Games for the U.S. to get behind.
  23. Precisely! This is why this signing has nothing to do with Shane.... he's a walk on and has nothing to do with schollies.
  24. Yeah, or we are adding another non-scholarship depth player. You could be right, but THIS move is not a reflection of anyone leaving. It's depth. Connect the dots all you want, this isn't anything more than a depth move with scholarship money making no difference.
  25. Haha exactly! Tychonik is a scholly player where you need to allocate funds across players. Huber isn't... we could add 40 walk-ons and it just doesn't matter.
