And btw, I don't think saying "player x needs to sit" is bad. That's normal. But, ripping on social media use and implying stopping that use would improve their performance seems stupid. That's what I was referring to.
-
It's a penalty by the book, but I don't like the call. Bast needs to be responsible for his stick, but that's not a penalty even 3 or 4 years ago.
-
They are all over the threads in the past few weeks. Most are implied. Most of it came from that IG post that quoted Oxbow6 and were noting that players should concentrate less on social media as if that would improve their performance.
-
Crap, just reread what you said. Schlossy has a spot on his blog where he notes what years players are expected to come.
-
Yes, these are about the guys who've committed verbally or signed LOIs. Tread lightly
-
They showed the replay and Shane chunked it. It wasn't even close. *sigh*
-
Agreed. For whatever reason, we just can't bury in the biggest spots.
-
It's definitely not a fluke. It's happened too many times to be fluke. And yes, that's definitely the most frustrating part. I guarentee the team feels the same way. I wish I knew why we can't consistently do it, because I'd Instagram them and tell them the solution lol
-
*sigh* agreed. Shane missing an open net with 2 seconds to go, absolutely kills me. He's a guy I want in that spot, too.
-
For me, I'm not offended whatsoever. It's not me getting barbbed at. I'm just trying to figure out what's so therapeutic about it. Venting is fine, but then it takes other forms and it attacks players and the team personally (ie: social media use and personality traits), that stuff is just sad.

Again, I hope this kind of nonsense makes you feel better about the season. Does it? I'm asking this legitimately. I just want to know the motivation.
-
Do you honestly believe the team takes moral victories and doesn't want to win? Watch that game tonight, again. Played their asses off, but it wasn't enough. Questioning their want to win and desire is so dumb and tonight's game is all the evidence needed. Again, if you or anyone else wants to trash the players, go for it. I hope it makes you all feel better about this year.
-
What needs to be cleaned up? Boys played their sacks off tonight, but it wasn't enough. If trashing the team and/or individual players makes you, or anyone here for that matter, feel better in any way, shape or form, so be it. I'm good without it as it accomplishes absolutely nothing and makes people look like idiots. No other choice but to go out tomorrow and play with the same effort. Gotta finish, though. Been the story all year. Can we do it? We'll see. And btw, what is Bubbs supposed to say in a post game interview? Maybe he should insult the players. That could make him feel better.

I see what you did there, nerd. Well done.

4 points on the weekend. See INHTINB?! I'm not the only one!
-
There it is... I was just thinking about this. *sigh* I miss days where I knew what was going to happen in this kind of situation. C'mon, boys. Bring some magic tonight.
-
Haha I honestly didn't even look at the standings... but thanks...
-
Maybe a good discussion for the 17-18 Season thread?
-
Does 4 points get us home ice? I think so, but I was a communication major lol.
-
Neither are acceptable. If you want to call the other out, by all means.
-
In fairness to Guch, Duncan was playing with two UND legends and had a lot more space to work with. I get your point, though.

Fan is short for "fanatic" -
This. Mismash has more points than Fratty did his freshman year. That worked out alright, eh?

Precisely. You picking on kids for going on social media is a little ridiculous, regardless of when it is -- before the game, after the game, etc. This is what they do. It's the same at every program across the country. That being said, the boys are probably annoyed and think it's dumb, but it's really not a big deal. Complaining, in general, is what fans do and we all do it from time to time. However, you and many others on here, seem to be upset under the delusion that their social media use is some how affecting their play or that if they are on social media less, they'll be better. It's silly. In all honesty, this kind of bickering is not hurting or helping anything, but making that particular person look like a jerk. -
Good. Good, good, good, good. Much needed.
