  1. Hahaha I wrestled with this one, actually. I've always written "shortsighted" one word, but I got the squiggly red line today! EDIT: I see you caught my typo.... nevermind lol.
  2. Bowen and Yon we were recruited as Top 6-type players, so this doesn't fit into the "affection" for bottom 6 guys. They just haven't panned out, thus far. We'll see.
  3. Lol good god, man. Go away.
  4. Yup and everyone loved that team. Crazy how short sided we seem as a fanbase as a whole
  5. Any proof that Bubbs doesn't do this?
  6. Let's check back in like 5 years so Bubbs can have more than 2 of "his" recruits on the team, shall we? Btw his two... Kawaguchi, which everyone sees as the most improved player on the team; and Jones, our leading goal scorer and a player who will wear a letter in his season season. Pretty good, so far
  7. Spot on, my friend. People LOVED that team lol.
  8. It's also kind of where he fit on the lines, too. Adams has to be a Top 6 guy because of his lack of strength/grit. Who do you put him in for in the Top 6? As Kawaguchi progressed in the second half, Adams got exposed, so they kind of flipped roles. He's going to have his chance in 18-19.
  9. Not sure and too lazy to dig it up lol. It's kind of besides the point, anyway.
  10. Thank you for saying this. The overreaction has been nuts the past two days. I'm just speaking from my observations of Adams as he's looked like he is afraid to battle and take a hit. And that causes him to cough up the puck too much. I don't disagree that Bubbs seems to pull the plug too quick, at times. But, we've blasted him on here in the past for not pulling it quick enough, too (Cam vs. Thome) and more often than not, that turns out ok. Adams is going to get his opportunity in 18-19, but he's gotta toughen up. He's so talented.
  11. This... This board has completely discounted our program being able to develop players based on YEARS of tradition doing so because of one rough season. The underclassmen will improve and I am confident it'll be enough to get us going in the right direction. I disagree with Pogo not being on the PP, btw lol. He was perfect in the slot screening and putting away rebounds, IMO.
  12. I don't disagree with you, I'm just saying why I don't see it as a huge shock that Casey was in over him. Adams looked scared out there on a regular occasion. At least Casey would battle. Adams is just too small, at this point. Dude needs to hit the gym hard and I am confident he will. He and the team know he's got the goods.
  13. I 100% agree with this. Jost leaving caught the team off guard and that happens. We would have had Jones centering our THIRD line this season had Jost been here.
  14. I'm 100% on board with this.
  15. Not many contributing, but their underclassmen (outside of Borgstrom, of course) didn't do much this year outside of Ian Mitchell.
  16. Adams needs to hit the weigh room hard. The reason he sat so much is that he gets knocked off the puck WAY too easily. When he gets space, he's got pure talent. But, he couldn't make space often enough because of this size. Hoff looked great great against Duluth. He'll be a key to next year.
  17. When did I say this??? Hahaha wtf??
  18. And what's your point? They missed the tourney, too.
  19. I mean, I thought our 16-17 team was playing pretty d@mn well at the end of the year and it took a call that would be a legal play this season to keep us out of the regional final. All seasons have issues ... outside of 15-16, of course
  20. AGAIN.... this is assuming our current players won't develop and that all of the freshmen coming in are EXACTLY what their juniors numbers are... this is such a stupid assumption.
  21. Agreed.... Hmmm... two of our best players are hurt.... both of which are centermen.... we played Johnny Simonson as our second-line center. No big deal... this team HAS to make the tournament with this. LOL.
  22. Again, these are all assuming that these things will happen for a second-straight season, which is absolute insane considering we've had 16-straight tourney appearances. Some assuming our team won't improve and that goes against what our program has done for YEARS, develop NHL-ready players.
  23. Our Sophs this year and some of our Juniors had a rough year, no doubt, but what about the growth of a guy like Kawaguchi? What about Kierstad? Man, this is exhausting.
