Michigan -- Even if they do win, I still say we get to 11 before they do. I honestly believe that. 2. Ohio State -- I don't hate them yet. But, I should soon. 1. Notre Dame -- I'd actually find it really funny if they came in and won all the team trophies in the BiG in their first year. Feels like a slap in the face to the conference and that's great.

Again, had he said "I just need to get stronger" instead of what he did, the reaction would have been less harsh, methinks.

I don't think the fact is incorrect, but him stating anything but "strength is a big part of playing in the NHL and I need to get stronger" shows a bit of an entitlement for this kid. The way I look at it, he basically said, it's cool... I'm so talented that all I need to do is show up. That won't take him anywhere in the show, IMO.

Definitely going to be a good player. With that said, I am very, very, VERY happy that his legacy in college hockey is this:

Those four plus Hammond, Junda, Plant and Jaillet... that's some big losses. I wouldn't be overly surprised to see Lukosevichius go, either. BIG drop off from Lukosevicius (21 g, 34 pts) to the next scoring leader after top 3. Staub is next with 22 pts.

I'd expect Janatuinen and Adams to start out alongside Rhett, at least to start the year. I really think that top line of Guchi, Jones and Mismash to have a big year with their chemistry already built.

This board is CONSTANTLY overlooking the stud defensemen in our pipeline. With Tychonick coming in next year alone, we'll have a top 5 class. Adding in the BCHL MVP doesn't hurt, either. This whole saga has come about from one poor (obviously by our standards and nearly our standards alone) season. Just 1. If this continues next year, then start to think trend.

On this instance, sure. But again, the guy had two NHLers around him. Besides, his point was that our Sophs may not progress because Shane didn't either. That's the main point that I think is silly.

Ok, so your point was that our sophomore class won't develop because Gersich didn't. I'm sorry, but that has nothing to do with if Gersich is "truly" an NHL player. And btw, sounds like he'll TRULY be an NHL player this weekend. Assuming that an entire class won't develop based on the premise that one player didn't have a breakout year is just nonsensical.

LOL he stopped playing with two NHL players. Do you even LIKE this team? Try a positive thought every once in awhile. We've had proven success of developing NHL and pro players over decades. Your example seems to be an outlier and a kind of silly one, I might add.

I've heard the rumors and the team seemed to play pretty well and cohesively (MM is this a word? ) despite them. Seems to me it was a bit overblown. Losing Shane hurts this team and it confuses me how anyone could think otherwise, particularly from a message board that was CONSTANTLY whining about lack of scoring this season.
