I don't disagree. A lot of it was spot on. I thought a lot of it was funny. Regardless, mocking a massive fanbase like ours isn't a great business model lol. As far as how the "rest of the nation views us"... CHN is not what I'd call a good reflection of how people see UND.

In the short term, absolutely. However, the long-term ramifications? Alienating the largest (at least one of the the largest) and most passionate fanbase in a niche sport is NOT a good business move. While pretty darn funny, it was very unprofessional. When there are like three respectable college hockey websites in existence, this isn't showing any other than bias and pettiness, IMO.

I still don't get the argument of cheering for our conference rivals. They are our biggest rivals outside of Minny. Why do we want them to win? The NCHC is already recognized as the toughest in college hockey. I'm gonna vomit if Duluth wins.

The past three seasons, it's on par, at least for me.

Having been to ASU before, I agree that there are MORE of the top notch puck bunny, but there are still plenty in GF and less outside competition

I definitely understand the benefits of playing for ASU, but there are plenty of "puck bunnies" (copyright, gfhockey) in GF. I don't need to go any further into why a player would pick UND, in general.

I'm sorry, if it turns out these kids are good, so be it, we can call them misses. At this time, them going to ASU shows me that we probably didn't go too hard at them.

But can they score?! I'm sure we'll make them 3rd or 4th liners... #narrative #bluchippas

Miller I get, but are Jones and Matthews misses? They didn't go NCAA, either, but straight to pro contracts.

It's really gross. It could be worse (Ie: Minny, BC, Wisco, etc.), but it's really gross. 4. UMD -- Grossssssssssssss ughhhhh whyyyyy are they heeeeeereeee??? 3. Michigan -- Even if they do win, I still say we get to 11 before they do. I honestly believe that. 2. Ohio State -- I don't hate them yet. But, I should soon. 1. Notre Dame -- I'd actually find it really funny if they came in and won all the team trophies in the BiG in their first year. Feels like a slap in the face to the conference and that's great.

Again, had he said "I just need to get stronger" instead of what he did, the reaction would have been less harsh, methinks.

I don't think the fact is incorrect, but him stating anything but "strength is a big part of playing in the NHL and I need to get stronger" shows a bit of an entitlement for this kid. The way I look at it, he basically said, it's cool... I'm so talented that all I need to do is show up. That won't take him anywhere in the show, IMO.

Definitely going to be a good player. With that said, I am very, very, VERY happy that his legacy in college hockey is this:

Those four plus Hammond, Junda, Plant and Jaillet... that's some big losses. I wouldn't be overly surprised to see Lukosevichius go, either. BIG drop off from Lukosevicius (21 g, 34 pts) to the next scoring leader after top 3. Staub is next with 22 pts.

I'd expect Janatuinen and Adams to start out alongside Rhett, at least to start the year. I really think that top line of Guchi, Jones and Mismash to have a big year with their chemistry already built.
