We have to quit comparing teams to 15-16. That is a once in a generation team. The were a ridiculous blend of stud D and forwards. Drafted and undrafted players. We have enough talent left this year and coming in to win four games in late March and early April, in my opinion.

As the second youngest player in the USHL, no less. I'll take the blame for it haha. People are seeming to be excited about a kid that compares to another kid coming into our roster this year. Hain is comparable and is definitely coming to UND. Not sure there's a spot for Weiss.

Mancinelli... I've heard some good stuff about this kid.

Si, senor. Agreed to all. Plus, the group of recruits on the blueline that we have coming in the next handful of years, starting in 18-19 is the best in the country, hands down. This is constantly ignored. Tychonick, JBD and Kleven have the potential to be stars.

Don't take that as a dig at you, AJS! Not my intention. It's a growing theme among our fanbase on here, though, that our recruits aren't good and everyone's else's are. He definitely wouldn't be able to come in this year, I'd think.

Completely fair, but Hain certainly is not painted that way these days, on here. Point two is also fair.

I mean, are we supposed to be excited about his potential? Gavin Hain doesn't get the rep of being "high end" these days (although he definitely once did), but Weiss does. Hain had more points than Weiss this past season. We're an interesting fan base lol

I'd say it's a toss up between he and Casey, IMO. Way different players. I don't mind a Smith-Bowen-Johnson 4th line.

I think it's more likely that he'll crack the lineup at forward. Apparently, so does he. In regards to our recruiting discussion we've had, I think we have to assume progression of our younger players. With that said, Casey should fit fine into a 4th line or a 3rd line grinder role, I think.

I'm not sure this was the entire reasoning. I think Casey saw the pipeline of D men we have coming in for the next couple of years, not to mention the current depth and realized he was swimming upstream. This is the best move for him to be able play decent minutes, I think.

Well, at least we have something to argue about this Summer.

I'd defend my team, but not necessarily acknowledge the team name. No need to. I'd say most would do the same. Offended? No. I don't get offended when someone tells me my team sucks. That's silly. That, or I'd just make some sort of a quip back to said Clown fan that they have less NCAA tournament wins than we do Nattys.
