  1. I think Yon should be taking a step toward being able to contribute. Bowen had 10 as a freshman and missed significant time due to injury last year. IMO, he should be a fourth-line staple and be around the 15 mark. Maybe even 20. We need Hoff to be at 20 at a minimum, I think.
  2. Hoff needs to be way more than a 10 point guy. This team needs him to step up. I'd be good with 10 points from Yon. Bowen should be a bit higher, too. Maybe 15ish.
  3. Don't forget about a group of forwards that would backcheck the bejeebus out of teams... Schmaltz, Cag, Boeser, LJ, Rhett, Pogo....
  4. Yeah, because I said that. Alright, man. Whateverrrr Anyway... LOL not sure why I said DU there, but I also hope their players don't develop, as well.
  5. I've always been a fan of saying "High aspirations, low expectations."
  6. Also ZERO chance any kind of animal rights group lets this fly. Would be sweet, though.
  7. I'm assuming this is a swipe and UND, but I'm gonna skim over it and agree. YEAH! I definitely hope DU's players don't develop!
  8. Whoops... no, actually I was thinking of the wrong person all together... I was thinking of Ian McCoshen and realized it about 2 minutes ago lol. That's two misses for me today. Yikes.
  9. My bad, misread. However, DU has WAY more to replace than any other team in the country.
  10. They missed the tournament this year, too.
  11. I'd be surprised if there's anyone that replaces Joey Anderson's level of play this next season.
  12. Good god, those are all so horrendous lol.
  13. Awesome stuff... great quotes. “And then his character, too. This kid is so humble … He’s a special person, both on and off the ice. I’ve talked to every NHL team about Jacob and a couple other players on our team, and they all say: ‘Well, what’s the negative? What’s the negative?’ I don’t know. There’s so much upside to this young man.” “I hope I leave an impression that I’m a guy that’s willing to do anything to win,” Bernard-Docker said. “I hope I’m leaving a mark that says I’m a competitive guy that’s willing to do anything for a teammate and willing to do anything for the team to win.” “The way he regiments his workouts, his nutrition, his practice habits … I don’t think it’s any secret why he’s such a good player, just by the way he approaches the game,” praised Oilers captain Carter Huber, who will also skate for the Fighting Hawks next season. “I mean, I’m 21 years old now and he’s the guy I’ll go up to after practice and look for some drills to help me out and things like that. His knowledge of the game and his passion is second-to-none. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything like it before.” This is one my favorite.... Added Oilers head coach Tyler Deis: “There’s no magic story about Jacob. He’s just a perfect kid. He just works extremely hard, and he knows what he wants.”
  14. Yeah, that's really bad
  15. Yeah, tell them this. I'm sure it'll work...
  16. Your prerogative, my friend. I do think you're in the minority, over time, however.
  17. Agreed, but to end the circle that Darell is talking about, someone is going to have to "be the bigger man." The Hawks group is asking the the "Forever Sioux" group to change on THIER timeline and not the other way around, for the most part. MOST "Forever Sioux" fans realize the name isn't coming back and they are ultimately fighting a losing battle. Riding it out and biting the tongue seems to be the less stressful route for the Hawks crowd. Just my opinion.
  18. I'm sure it does, but just don't get into it. The person isn't going to change because you say they should. Period.
  19. Try this.... let them say it... move on and eventually that person's hard line will likely change. You arguing is actually going to make it worse. And if that particular person's hard line doesn't change, most others will. You don't have to continue the circle. You're choosing to do so rather than letting this process run it's course. Good for you that you've moved on. Others haven't.
  20. Keep telling people to move on... seems like the strategy has been effective
  21. Either side beating their chest and telling the others they are wrong isn't going to make it stop. Both sides are going to cope in their own way and time and whether you like or not is completely irrelevant. Annnnnd circling back to the mascot. I personally don't think a mascot helps this timeline. I could be biased in this instance, I suppose
  22. It is resolved, but doesn't mean people have to like it and can move on as they please. You (not specifically you, but the "FH crowd") telling people to move on only continues the annoying cycle.
  23. Lol this is exactly the same as '83 complaining about the stick tribute from the other POV.
