  1. They do play complete fundamental basketball. Love the way tonight they dropped it down low and when double teamed kicked it out instead of forcing it. They moved the ball so well and always found the open man. How did we beat them?
  2. I agree and this falls on the coach for not doing anything about this when they were freshman. I have always said from day 1 this was not a team but a few individuals that played selfish basketball that ruined it for the others that were team players but never touched the ball. We had team players but they did not play enough minutes in my opinion. However that being said the group of seniors that have been here for 4 years actually did do a lot for this university and provide a lot of exciting basketball even though they could have been so much better if they played together and lets not forget all the injuries that occurred to this group of players that changed so much.
  3. I agree on this one. Moody was a huge coaching loss on defense.
  4. What did everyone expect basically being down 3 of our top 6 players. Webb is not 100 %. Not watching so based on what I'm reading huff is trying to do too much. Its really what I expected but man don't forget what he's done for us these last 4 years. I really thought this game would be not to motivated after the loss on Saturday.
  5. Down 3 of our top 6 players on the road it's not going to be easy no matter what they did in the Summit. They did beat SDSU at home and several other descent teams. Not giving up but a major task at hand.
  6. I agree that Benton and Hobaugh may get huge minutes tonight at the 4. Benton and Hobaugh are very physical down low and should do a good job defensively but we lose a lot on the offensive end. I see Huff taking a lot of shots tonight and hopefully he is making them for us to have a shot.
  7. Could make for some interesting lineups tonight if Webb, Nash and Schuler can't play. Since both Nash and Schuler have played the 4 this year maybe they slide Calcaterra to the 4 to start since UNO starts a 6'8" 230lb player at the 4. That would only leave Salmonson as a backup at the 5 and Stefen and Benton at the 4. We still have enough bodies but not nearly as much talent to compete on the road against a much rested team. Hopefully a few of the injured are able to go.
  8. Just noticed that of the 8 D1 teams we played in non conference this year 6 of the 8 made the post season. Wisconsin, Oregon, NDSU and Cal Poly made the dance. Pacific and SDSU made either the CBI or CIT. Only Butler and Bowling Green failed to make the post season. I'd say that was a very difficult non-conference schedule now that you look back at it. We were all complaining about the loses to Cal Poly ( who won their conference tournament) and also to Pacific.
  9. At this point we should just let Huff get to 2000 points and then play only the guys that are returning for next year and sit Anderson and Traylor also. Don't really see a way we can win this game without 3 of our best players unless the others just go off.
  10. If I read this correctly CBS sports has UND as a 15.5 point favorite tomorrow night. Even if nodak is wrong above I don't see us being a 15.5 point favorite on the road.
  11. If you took a secret ballot of the players after the disappointing loss to Weber shorthanded and knowing they will be shorthanded again and have to travel on a bus for many hours I would think the vote would be not to play. Truly the experience the younger guys get with probably a loss short handed will mean nothing come next November. They have traveled so much this year and have got to be so tired of the entire season and plus I'm guessing most of them would love to travel home and enjoy a spring break for the first time in their careers.
  12. I agree Weber is a better team than NDSU. Weber will give Arizona a game for most of it, especially if they connect on the threes like they did against us.
  13. Also heard Nash got hurt but not sure how bad. Haven't heard anything further of Webb and Schuler but if all 3 are on the bench not playing then it would be a huge hill to climb in order to compete. Really not much time for the 2 or 3 to heal with playing this Wednesday and then again on Friday/Saturday if we win. Seems a dark cloud has followed this team the past 2 years as far as injuries and the impact it has had.
  14. I watched Jone's post game interview and I thought he was spot on with his remarks. Size and the lack of Webb and Schuler was a key factor and what type of players UND needs to recruit for the future. One of them was size and I don't really see any size next year because Shanks is a twig compared to what Weber had tonight. I believe we still have 2-3 scholarships available for next year so time is running short.
  15. Agree both injuries happened in the last minute for Schuler and the last 2 minutes for Webb. We can always wonder what could have been with these original 5 seniors if they were all healthy these past 2 years. They all did UND proud and will be missed.
  16. about time u stop posting. We were down 2 key players and they fought their ass off against a much better team in front of a hostile crowd. Give them credit for making it this far.
  17. Traylor is playing awesome but we sure do need webb and schuler to calm things down.
  18. Of the 5 seniors that have been here for 4 years and kick started UND only 2 of them will be playing if this info is correct in the biggest game in the D1 era of UND. What else can go against our men? It's time for the younger players to pick up these 3 seniors and send them to the dance.
  19. No doubt this is a huge game. Got to be honest here it's going to take our best game these guys have ever played to beat this Weber team on their home court in front of 6-7000 radical students and fans. Huff, Anderson, Webb, Nash, Traylor and hopefully we have Schuler back are the guys that have to be dialed in on both offense and especially defense. Weber is huge so rebounding is going to be key, so far we have done a great job of rebounding in our first 2 games here and this must continue. This is exciting for the mens program and a upset is in the works. Go Sioux
  20. Jones made a great move going to a zone with 8 minutes to go. It completely thru them off and stopped the penetration they were scoring on.
  21. Way to go boys. Now let's see an upset in this next game and take away the fans.
  22. I think nash is injured. Either eye or concussion.
