Not sure its time for that just yet but he has definitely lost all control of these selfish players. I've almost given up on this years team and looking forward to mostly fresh faces next year and maybe, just maybe the players returning can see what playing as individuals does to a team. Right now next years roster looks better than this years and if we can just land a few more fundamentally sound players I am optimistic about next year.

The only positive I can take from this game is I thought Anderson ran the point better than anybody has this year. He penetrated and dished many times out to open guys and moved the ball very well. Webb continued to force things inside and continues to penetrate too far where is options are limited. Negatives were many, Traylor on the interior defense lost his guy time after time for easy dunks against the next to worse interior offense in the league ( we r the worst). I said many times Huff can score 15-20 points easy every game with 4-6 less shots and if those 4-6 shots turn into wide open shots for other players we would score 6-8 points more each game and then the defense would have to guard all our players when he drives. Where was Nash? Just not a good TEAM at all and its a shame cause we have the talent. Coaching must be a big part of it but these players are 22-23 men that should know the basic fundamentals and know by now how a team should play. Jones should play the players that best play together and work together and that would be an entirely different lineup.

There is no offense. How can teams shoot lights out against us from three every game. Oh I know they penetrate and pass to the open shooter so they can get good looks.

With Shanks, next year is starting to take a very positive shape. In fact without all the selfish play next years team could be much better than what we have this year. Tyler at the point is a proven player and excellent shooter and scorer, Hooker at the off guard hopefully with his experience this year will be much improved with his outside shot, Stefen is an excellent all around player that is very unselfish and plays great defense and takes very good shots, Calcaterra has showed some signs of what he may be capable of and if they slide him down to the 4 with Shanks providing all that we need at the post. Benton, Antwi and Hobaugh and Salmonson will provide good support and I believe we still have 3-4 scholarships to offer. Really thought after this year we were in trouble not anymore.

It's amazing that after watching us play just a couple of times you can hit the nail right on the head and yet our coaches after almost 4 years and 100+ games still cannot see this. Of all of our coaches that sit and watch our game films I can't imagine one of the coaches are not saying something to Jones about every team collapsing on us without any passes going out to the shooters for wide open shots unless they are afraid to say something. At this point I would think about not zoning us and just let our selfish players drive and collapse all 5 guys down low because they know a pass will not be made and force bad shot after bad shot. Based on what I have heard and what Jones has said in his interviews he wants players on the floor that are willing to play defense. It has showed much improvement in the last several games as guys are flying around the court and switching men on defense. Possibly Anderson is not showing this in practice as Benton, Stefen and Schuler play very good and sound defense and plus with all the teams playing zone it cuts down Anderson's ability to drive and that was his strongest asset. I still hear the second team gives and beats the first team more often than not in practice cause the second team plays defense and they play as a team versus the first team primarily does neither. I don't think this team has ever had chemistry due to all the selfish play the past 4 years and its finally catching up to them.

Heard from a very reliable source he is enrolled and begins classes on Monday. I would guess he would also be practicing with the team beginning Monday.

Agree on Schuler, 9 points on only 4 shots and he never played the final 6-7 minutes. Never got him the ball when he was wide open for a three, in fact never got a pass to our shooters when they were wide open. Only people shooting threes are the ones that should not be shooting three's ( Benton for one). Heard Anderson has been pounting due to not starting and if you also watch him on the bench he is not cheering for his team. This team does not box out as you mentioned, they run under the rim and have no chance of getting a missed shot. Only made shots go thru the whole where they are standing. Weber was boxing our guys off the court when they boxed and coaches and players should watch that portion of the film. This team continues to play like this and they will be watching the conference tournament.

That's how teams play basketball but certain players on und don't understand this and obviously the coaches don't coach this. We would have just as many wide open shots as weber if we passed. No zone today so our players figured they didn't have to pass.

We decided tp play one on one the last 5 minutes and thus down 12. No passing at all. This will lose us many games like the past.

So far we have given Northern Colorado their best game. They are winning by more than 20 pts/game so far and they are by far the team to beat right now. Maybe our loss there was not as bad as what we all thought at the time.

With all the poor free throw shooting why do we have schuler taking the ball out. He has not missed a free throw yet thbis year and the ball has no chance of getting in his hands. Wow dons not make since. Oh well we won.

I think the 1,2 and 3 are correct and hope the 4/5 are not. It's really not a good lineup at all cause Tyler is the only proven scorer in this lineup, Hooker has not shown he can shoot very well from outside and honestly with his side rotation I don't like his shot. That lineup has a career scoring average of about 25 points per game. Boy I hope something better comes to UND before next year.

Look at our roster, not including Brekke 12 of our players are guards. I'm including nash in this total cause he played a guard position at Texas Tech and plays like a guard. This leaves Traylor, Salmonson and Calcaterra for the 4/5 positions. No wonder teams are shooting such a high percentage against us down low. However, we continue to recruit guards instead of guys 6'8" with size to them. I would rather see this 6'8" guy that is physical and throws his weight around and boxes out than a 6'10" guy that is weak. Next year appears to be no different than this year with the exception that we lose 70+ % of our scoring. Not sure what is coming in next year but we appear to have many scholarships to offer.

I was thinking the same thing this morning. Wilmer and Archer always stepped in and nobody got an easy layup. Wilmer especially last year was very physical underneath and we do not have any of that this year. Once an opposing guard penetrates nobody steps in for help defense. This article nailed most everything we are having extreme trouble with and it should have added that the players are very selfish and not team oriented.

5 guards the last 3-4 minutes that brought us back. Great effort at the end by those guys and thats what won the game for us. Maybe some lessons were learned tonight cause Jones had very little patience for bad shots and poor defense tonight cause he benched the players when it happened. I do like what he did and the message was sent.

Obviously they don't teach defense in high school either. Freshman point guard has driven around Hooker twice like he wasn't there and no help from the bigs for a layup. It's unbelievable.
