31 turnovers again last night.
-
True, everything was ugly but the WIN and honestly thats all that counts. With basically no depth you've got to get ugly wins like this. Saw Archer warming up but then did not dress so he must be close to returning. Hopefully Schuler is close to returning also.

This conference tournament is going to be crazy. Outside of Montana and Weber its a coin toss who wins the other games. One more win and I'd say we are a lock for the tournament but we need a seed that we don't play either Montana or Weber in the first round. One of them will get a bye so hopefully we can avoid the other.

Reading the hockey forum sounds like alot of fans are stuck down south trying to get back.
-
Jones just stated we didn't run anything even close to our offense. Same thing I saw but unfortunately being short handed when players get out of control you can't sit them and go to your bench cause there is nobody there.
-
Someone described him to the T earlier in the year. He is a bull in a china jar. No grace nor finesse. We are back to playing nothing but one on one basketball and this is what happens every time we do this. It is always ugly for us.
-
This sais it all, 1 assist 15 turnovers. We just have little to no options with the current injuries. Lets try Stockdale for a few minutes, it cant hurt.
-
What an ugly lineup. I would think we could put a better combination than this on the floor. Allard, Benton and Wilmer are so overmatched in this one.
-
12 turnovers so far and there is really not that much pressure causing these.
-
I think we are missing Schuler's calmness tonight. Everyone is out of control big time. Hope he gets back soon. These lineups are not good against a quality team.
-
Not a good start. Wilmer needs not to start anymore. He is doing nothing at all anymore. Cant shoot nor rebound.
-
Awesome play this past 16 minutes.
-
Keep standing Benton under the basket. No body is guarding him all night underneath.
-
Can Wilmer for once in his life box out a man. I have never seen him find his guy and box him out. He just runs under the rim and watches the guy behind him get the rebound. Bad start to the 2nd half. Lets re-group men.
-
Cause Schuler is out and he is the only 4 left that is suited up.
-
Just confirmed on the radio broadcast Schuler and Archer are out. This will be tough.
-
Dont know how many players we will have for this trip. I believe Archer is out again with his ankle and the status of Schuler is unknown as I recall the last game he left the floor several times for the training room. It appeared it was his back the way he was re-acting on the floor. From what I heard Schuler has not practiced in the past couple of days. Hopefully he can play and if not we would basically be down to 8 players and Brekke is far from being fully conditioned. The cloud continues to follow this team this year.

Why is it a joke? Who did you think we were going to play. Nebraska Omaha is in 5th place in the summit and is 29th in the nation in FG%. Obviously they shoot the ball very well.

There is no doubt in my mind that the early 90's team was more disciplined and fundamentally sound and very unselfish cause this current team most of the time none of these, I have complained about this for several years. But the athletes, quickness and physical part of the game which is now played definately goes to the current team. The problem with this current team is they will not beat in today's D1 era a team the plays unselfish and is fundamentally sound. Only a couple players on this team is fundamentally sound and unselfish, all the others play for themselves. Take last night for example, we were up double digits with under 2 minutes to go and Anderson on 2 straight possessions shot the ball with 25 seconds left on the shot clock and then Huff did the same thing on a third possession, fortunate for us they made a difficult shot. They don't understand time and score at all, they just wanted to get their points and thats all its about for some.
-
Excellent points. The UND teams of the past were playing D2 teams also and may have been that much better than their competition and we are playing D1 schools that are bigger and stronger than us. Today's athletes in any sport are far more athletic, stronger than teams of 20+ years ago. I would however imagine the UND teams you are talking about were much more team oriented and fundamentally sound compard to this current team cause this team still does not box out nor do they know how to set screens nor there is no inside/out game at all and all of these 3 basic fundamentals of basketball drives me crazy that we dont understand how to do these things.
-
Good win today and one we needed. Disagree the top D2 teams are better than 60+% of the D1 schools. Yes they will win some games against D1 teams here and there but they are not better than 250 of D1 schools, no way.
-
Give me a break.

This is a no doubt must game with a very tough road trip going to Montana and Montana State. If we lose this one we could easily fall to 5-9 in the conference after next weekend. I predict we win this one by 10+ and hope for a split next weekend.

Problem is who else do you put down low. Schuler is definately undersized for that position but he is the only one on this team that knows how to box out and he even did it last night but Otis kept going over his back. If you put Allard there he would have just fouled the guy and we lose Schuler's scoring and court presence. I would think we would have back side help but that rarely came from the post. It's a tough situation for Schuler but he needs to be on the court.
