  1. Win the ones I said and I show us at 14th in PWR, assuming many other results obviously. A win vs UNO doesn't have much value except that it's not a loss. Going 5-3 with one loss against UNO leaves us at 19th in PWR and probably having to run the table in the playoffs.
  2. I'm showing we need to win about 6 of the final 8 to be inside the bubble. Then of course you have the NCHC playoffs. I'd think winning 6 of 8 and then winning the 1st round would get us in. It's a big ask but not impossible with the teams we have left to play. Split vs WMU and UMD, sweep CC and UNO.
  3. You think Colton stays? I think he should and it would be fantastic but thought he was a decent bet to leave after his jr year?
  4. In Omaha for the 1st time since outdoor series, hoping to extend my 2 game winning streak to 4!
  5. In 46 years of doing the bus, none of the reasons you listed are without precedent. Gas has been cheap before, the team has downright sucked(if you think this is bad check out our records from '91-'96 and you'll appreciate this year), sure someone has always had to sit in front of the toilet, and there have always been drunk people.
  6. Sure you have math on your side, but panic and despair are the native languages spoken around these parts.
  7. The discussion wasn’t about Bast’s hit so why assume that I agree with it? It happened quick at the game and only caught it out of the corner of my eye. My initial response was that I thought he got an elbow up and it’s definitely a 5. I haven’t seen a good slowed down replay yet to confirm but thinking a game for the hit is probably warranted, it was a really stupid time to take that penalty too. You can dislike both Wilkie’s actions and one our guy’s hit at the same time, they’re not mutually exclusive.
  8. What about it?
  9. Wilkie was chirping the UND bench as he skated by after the goal. Between that and trying to bury one of our players face in the ice while he was on the top of him is enough for me to wish him all the worst in the last 1 1/2 seasons of his hockey career. As Stoney said, enjoy the ring you were gifted while at UND.
  10. A lot of great recommendations, thanks!!
  11. This thread is fuckin miserable to read, even after a win. We could sweep CC and Omaha and the response would be 'now we get excited for sweeping the worst teams in the conference? how far we've fallen'.
  12. We got rooms at the Aksarben Suites, close to the arena and reasonably priced. Can’t wait for next weekend!
  13. TH has earned the right to do whatever the hell he pleases. The guy’s a UND legend that’s left an indelible mark on the hockey program.
  14. Got ya. It depends on what reaction you’re referring to. To the fans saying Berry is worthless and should be fired yesterday, it is an overreaction. If you have valid criticisms with facts behind them(not ‘Berry’s lost the locker room’), have at it.
  15. Pay special attention to the last 6 words of the definition...
  16. I don’t get that bent out of shape that he uses hyperbole to mock fan overreaction because I agree with him on that point. While I agree with part of what you’re saying about giving Berry an easy out after canisius I’m not ready to get too upset. TH is the best voice in the business IMO and has never seemed to get too high or too low in the team, probably because he’s seen it all. Whether or not that aligns with what you specifically want to see isn’t really his concern. The day TH stops calling games will be a sad, sad day for UND hockey fans. A constant phrase I always here is ‘I don’t want to pay $20 for the webcast, at least I can listen to Hennessy”
  17. That’s not what I said. Tim was using hyperbole(ie firing Saban) to mock fan overreaction.
  18. So even if TH is joking (which he is), why would that make him seem unintelligent? He’s mocking fan overreaction with hyperbole.
  19. Do people realize last year’s team was literally in the same place as the 2013-14 team that made a run to the frozen four? They just had an unprecedented amount of upsets for auto bids knock them out. Also, we handled UMD in a ‘must win’ game for both teams at the time it was played. We went home, UMD won it all. So to act like last year was a massive coaching failure is flat out wrong. The ‘Fire <insert current UND coach> gets old after every bad series. Hak, who many on this board want to lure back here ironically, would have been fired 10 times a year if this board had it’s way. Some users are gonna need surgery with the amount and intensity of knee jerk reactions they have. Is there a point where a coach should be considered to be past their useful life? Absolutely... but Berry isn’t even close halfway through a season. I’ll be showing up this weekend and next in Omaha ready to cheer and get this team back on track to make the NCAAs. Hope this wasn’t too optimistic for some of ya.
  20. Thanks for the recommendations, looking forward to the trip and seeing the new Baxter Arena for the 1st time.
  21. Who said it was supposed to?
  22. To be fair he's been tracking BC's OOC losing streak for quite some time. And it is incredible to believe they could be winless in 24 straight OOC games. Talk about killing your pairwise!
  23. Thought maybe with all the negativity I could provide a little distraction with this thread. Planning to go down to Omaha for the series(yes I am a glutton for punishment). I haven't been since they played at the Clink. Wondering if people can provide some recommendations with the new digs: - Good hotel/area to stay, next to Baxter or no? Would like to be near bars nightlife, other Sioux fans. - Restaurants to visit before after the game - Any activity people recommend Saturday morning/early afternoon before the game? - Best part of the rink to sit for the games? Appreciate all recommendations(unless it's to stay home ). Here's to hoping we'll be riding a winning streak going into Baxter!
