Had a beanie on that said North Dakota getting on a chairlift in Big Sky, MT and the operator said 'Go Sioux'

The main issue I have is that the committee was tasked with coming up with nickname options that were unique to North Dakota yet somehow Fighting Hawks made the list. If you want North Dakotans to get behind something at least make it something that has ties to the state. Roughriders and Nodaks was personal and fit the description(not perfectly but at least they were uniquely North Dakotan). I'm still waiting to hear what connection Hawks, fighting or otherwise, have to North Dakota. Would there still be holdouts for the Sioux Forever crowd? Sure, but I don't think it would be quite as many. All conjecture though.

So 12,000+ already sold? I'd say this Hall of Game is already a success.

I'm not even making a prediction. The way this team is playing I predict they beat anyone in the country so put me down for a W until notified otherwise.

Not over the top at all, Stecher belongs in the conversation with those guys... and Naumenko is my all time favorite UND player.

Whatever we were missing seems to have been found this year, I don't think this team is far off from that year. Not the same high level talent but as a whole they are relentless.

The thing I liked is the players and Coach Berry's postgame could have been after any win. If you weren't clued into the score you could mistake it for being 4-2 game. And they kept the focus on, yes tonight was great but they'll come out hard tomorrow night and we have to get the same effort. I get the feeling that this team is good at keeping an even keel.

Report from inside Marriuci last night: I'm not sure I've ever watched a dismantling of an entire hockey program in 60 minutes before this game. The facts were laid bare before everyone that came to watch. The Gopher fans apathy has now only been matched by their players. You know the saying 'Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard'? Well last night the talent worked harder and 9-3 was the end result. After Weatherby buried Tychonick's feed into an empty net I could tell it was going to be a route. The Gopher defensemen looked like their main goal was to get the puck past their own blue line and they failed miserably at it. This team again proved to me it's the real deal with the incredible passing and finishing that I haven't seen since 2016. Quite possibly my favorite thing was Gopher fans deflecting to anything but the hockey game on social media afterwards. Ticket Prices! Thanksgiving game! Nothing to do in ND! PLEASE LOOK OVER HERE AND NOT AT THE HISTORIC ASS KICKING WE JUST GOT HANDED IN FRONT OF A PRO NORTH DAKOTA CROWD! All that being said, it'll probably be a 2-1 game tonight, don't ya love college hockey?

Colton Poolman's goal at the end of the 1st was a powerplay goal. They went 1 for 4 on the PP last night.

I learned back during the last game of the rivalry in the WCHA to wait until near gametime to buy tickets at Marriuci. Rewind back to when we were playing the last game in the rivalry before they took a break and you'd think selling 2 tickets outside the arena would be a cinch, right? Nope, missed the first couple minutes of the game trying to sell them outside for $20/piece. No takers to the last game of the biggest rivalry in college hockey, cities folks are very fickle and if they see a cloud out of place or a threat of rain/wind/pollen alert they will ditch their plans to go to the games.

I am looking to buy 4 tickets together for the Friday UND v Gopher game at Marriuci. Please let me know if you have any you're looking to sell. Thanks!

No I am not but I'm saying Rhett was not the problem last year. Was he undisciplined? Absolutely. But he was also part of the line that shut down the opponents best line as a freshman. The problem IMO was we didnt have the talent on the front end to move him back to 2nd or 3rd line center like we do this yr. Hes not a scorer and never will be. Having added guys that can score like Michaud, Pinto, Collin Adams up the middle (same jersey but I swear it's a different person) has completely changed the dynamic. Last year we didnt have a better option and Rhett was forced into a position(1st line center) that doesnt fit his skill set. My $.02

I believe we'd be on an 8 game win streak with or without Rhett, I seem to remember us having a couple 3 on 5's and a couple major penalties in Denver just last Saturday so did Rhett take those as well? The reason we still won? We're better in all facets then last year. Goaltending, shooting %, pp, pk. I will agree KG has been a very welcome addition that we missed dearly. If I recall correctly, the lynch mob on here thought Dixon and Berry needed to be shown the door last year too. Since we're playing revisionists, how's that working out?

Last night's attendance was much improved from previous games, not looking at gaping sections that go 10 rows deep in the upper levels for a change
