  1. I thought the Pourhouse did a really good job although it was absolutely packed there. Could have used a big tent like McGoverns had.
  2. I lived and worked in downtown Minneapolis for 4 years. Not sure what accepting bad service and snobby servers have do with being in a "big city".
  3. You may need UNO to actually make the Frozen Faceoff in order to get some of that attendance... I was willing to hear this opinion out as I kind of like different locations for conference tourneys but I'm slowly leaning towards Sioux Falls not being a great alternative. I lived in the cities for a few years and also had a ton of road trips back to GF for hockey games so the Conference Tourney was a nice break from traveling.
  4. That is one thing I miss about St. Paul, McGovern's could be packed and still get you some great food.
  5. gfhockey= Cratter, it all makes sense now
  6. That's 75% of the conference for you Gopher fans counting at home
  7. If it "doesn't work" the season is over. Jake and Mattson's situations are apples and oranges. While we're at it why not throw Jordan Schmaltz up to Forward? Parks seems physical and maybe could play some D so they could switch spots throughout the game if it doesn't work.
  8. Unfortunately for Minnesota they loved the moment a little too much. Beating us was your national championship and that's all that matters. So again, I say, Congratulations!
  9. Congratulations
  10. I don't believe Mattson has played a game at forward his entire UND career, don't think he'll start now.
  11. That Murphy-Schmaltz-Pattyn lines seems odd to me, but they must see something in practice.
  12. As far as capacity, I think Scheels is pretty comparable to the Old Ralph.
  13. I remember Schlossman saying St. Clair will be ready this weekend and he fully expects him to play(or something along those lines). So I think St. Clair takes Murphy's spot.
  14. The team hung him out to dry all game, one out of 5 goals does not concern me. What concerns me is allowing 20 shots in an opening period and expecting your goalie to stand on his head repeatedly. Zane is not this team's issue, not even remotely. Best goalie statistically in UND history and per the hobey baker one of the top 10 players in the country. If we make a run at #8, it will be on the back of his performance similar to last year.
  15. Just curious... which of the 5 goals that Zane let in vs DU did you have an issue with?
  16. I'm sure Hakstol and the boys are really concerned about Quinnipiac's travel itinerary and when/where they fly into
  17. Why are they going to Bismarck? I hear Minneapolis may have an airport...
  18. And I will try to avoid it until October 1st, 2015
  19. Huh... I thought Torrey Pines was in California
  20. Yes, you do start to read between the lines with Hak. He'll get his usual "full 60", "good battle level" line in but I have started to pick up on some of his mannerisms too. They can tip you off as to whether he really thinks we played well and got beat or if our guys will be bag skating for the next 3 hours
  21. You make a solid point here, he just hasn't been himself lately.
  22. Anything in particular of interest you remember him saying during the interview? I used to listen to KFAN every day at my old job but have had to take a break with the new one.
  23. Did Pizza Luce rebrand itself?
  24. I enjoyed my double cheeseburger and surly beer. Although I did want to take a nap afterwards, possibly due to the hockey being played.
  25. http://www.uscho.com/2015/03/21/after-second-loss-of-weekend-north-dakotas-hakstol-cautions-not-to-overanalyze/ This is an interesting article, sounds like their was a lot of experimentation with lines on Saturday.
