I'll have to say, this is the 1st I've heard of someone switching from Nodaks/Roughriders to Fighting Hawks after the 1st vote. I'd be curious to know your reasoning.

I'm viewing it from both. I guess I've had classes that I've bombed to start the semester in undergrad and my MBA but I don't just quit because they're difficult. But maybe he was never in it for the schooling, in which case I wish he would have gone MJ immediately. That's kind of my thoughts, he might have thought he could coast through the school part and focus on playing for BC. You're right though, we'll probably never know.

Not trying to pretend like I'm morally superior here, but I was taught that you don't quit like that, especially when people are depending on you. So what if things don't go your way 1.5 months into the semester, whether be in school or hockey? Suck it up and learn from it, you'll be better for it in the end.

This is not a "simple fact", it is blatantly false. I know people who were absolutely not "die-hard, rabid fans" at the old Ralph. Again, I loved the old REA for it's charm and it could absolutely get loud(due to a lower roof and less area for sound to travel) to give us home ice advantage but would I go back if I had the choice? No way.

Just my opinion, but I can't think of a scenario where it is ok for him to quit this early into the season.

Does anyone know who made/or paid for that sign that read 'Nodak Nation' that was draped over the student section at Saturday's Bemidji St. game?

What is the point of asking what world I live in? Serious question. It adds nothing to the conversation. The hockey team and Berry stated their opinion which is fine. They did not say Nodaks is obviously better because of facts and that gopher fans will make fun of it so anyone that thinks otherwise is flat out wrong. Also, I did not say Nodak supporters were free of reproach. I just think it's ridiculous to pretend like one side is factually better than the other and continue to attack people that don't believe in your line of thinking.

Good point here. While the old arena could get pretty loud and had a much more "anything goes" type feel to it, winning percentages say otherwise for home ice advantage. Just for the record, I loved the old Ralph and love the new one too.
