Ugh, that hurts to hear. This team + Zane would be near impossible to beat... and we are pretty tough as it is. Goalie seems like a tough position to leave college early to go to the pros for. You're essentially hoping you have what it takes to be one of the 30ish best goalies in the world.

UMD coming off a no-contest series against a struggling WMU team. Hopefully we can surprise them with a couple of early goals to start the series in their own building. Thursday night can't get here soon enough so I can start the drive down Highway 2!

The current goalies are playing at or above Zane's career number so far. I think the factor that no one knew coming into the year was how fast could the freshmen contribute. The answer is pretty unexpected and has buoyed us so far this year. I think it's silly to say Hakstol would have or wouldn't have done this because you're talking about a parallel universe that will never exist. I could say Hakstol would have ben 18-0 and you couldn't prove otherwise so arguing the point is futile. I'm just enjoying the ride and finding very little to be negative about

FYI the 2nd goal on Saturday night was scored by "ringing the puck around the boards" to enter the zone that everyone seems so against and it was on a powerplay too. The situation dictates what a player does at the line.

Yeah you're right, we don't have an empty seat problem at all. This isn't Marriuci . I didn't realize it cost money to use this service. You can post the tickets on craigslist for free and usually get about 3 responses within about 10 minutes to buy them.

I mean, if invited I'll swing up to a suite for a period or 2 depending on the game(looking at you Huntsville) to swig some free beers, beats paying $8!
