I am so sorry to have offended you... now that you bring up his U-18 stats there is no doubt he will be better than Eichel at the college level. I can't believe I didn't think to look at that before stating my opinion.

Auston Matthews would be closer to an "Eichel" type although even Matthews isn't that level IMHO.

This is a great post... If you have anything bad to say about Hak, watch out, you are no longer a fan. For a while there only blind lemmings were allowed to be fans I guess.

What did you see this weekend that makes you so sure about UND regrouping for the ncaas? I would love to see them do it but the lack of effort is mind boggling at times.

One thing I would love to see Hak do is bench players that take shifts off. The best talent didn't stop us from getting blown out tonight in embarrassing fashion. I Schamltzs antics are growing thin on me.

UND should be ashamed. Hard to remember a time where they bothered to play a full game. Here we go backing into the ncaas again.

This is the thing. You love him or hate him but he puts division 1 hockey near the top of his list. I applaud this despite his obvious shortcomings.

Crazy to think people doubted/hoped the NCHC would fail. To be fair, nobody could have guessed it would be this dominate.

As annoying he is he has a passion for college hockey which is extremely rare in national coverage. This is the only reason I give the guy a pass. Melrose follows college puck for two weeks a year. If he picks us again to win a title I might puke.

That there was a goal afterwards is inconsequential... sure it was a missed call but so was the one on Schmaltz. The difference? That was blatant embellishment and the refs gave the wrong team two minutes. There were missed calls on both sides last night but there is no doubt that NoDak has gotten the short end of the stick recently.

Speaking of our ol' buddy Chris Dilks...

This isn't the first time Mr. Dilks has singled out the UND fanbase... if he has done it to any other fanbase, I haven't seen it. He seems to have a bit of a bias toward NoDak hockey. I don't know if a UND fan stole his girlfriend or what. I would think that in his position he would act a bit more professional. I guess we just are spoilt having a beat writer of the caliber of Schloss. On any giving day, it seems half the articles over at SB Nation are about the gophers. Needless to say, it's not a place you have to waste a lot of time on.

Chris Dilks taking time off covering the goofs to chastise UND fans on twitter for being upset Moore wasn't tossed on Saturday... always a class act that Dilks.

So Moore was suspended one game. I wonder if this would have happened if a bunch of Sioux fans hadn't emailed Don Adams.

I fired off a respectfully worded email to Don requesting a response to this weekends officiating... we'll see if there is any response. Breath holding will not start now.

Hak could have picked Nick for the shootout but he would have tried to pass...
