  1. To be fair to Mac it certainly looked like the guy on the ice was trying to play the puck when he gave him that shot. There is no reason for a ref to make a huge call like that at that time of the game when it really doesn't effect the play at all.
  2. Not a very good game tonight and I think we will see some changes tomorrow. Wouldn't be suprised to see Zane in the net and the Kristo-Knight-McMillan line back together. CC was desperate for a win and played like it while we played very sloppy and out of sync. I would expect to see a complete effort and different type of game tomorrow. The reffing was horrible but whats new, I'm not gonna get mad at Mac because it was a good clean play and the ref just made a horrible call basically deciding the game.
  3. I'm watching that on FSN+ arena looks real empty, 1st look at New Hampshire this year but they look to have some good speed so far.
  4. Schlossman‏@SchlossmanGF Brendan O'Donnell expected to be scratched tonight with the return of Grimaldi. Expand Collapse Reply RetweetedRetweet Delete FavoritedFavorite Looks like O'Donnell is the odd man out.
  5. I thought the same thing looked like BCs goalie had it under him and just got pushed behind the goal line.
  6. Gophers really have BC on their heels early up 3-0 with 6 minutes left in the 1st and BC having to use their timeout already.
  7. U.S. had a lot of good chances and Subban played well for Canada. Canada's powerplay really looked great while the U.S. doesn't seem to really do anything when they are on the powerplay. The loss sets up a must win with Slovakia and the big question in that game is can the U.S. score enough to win. They've gone 2 straight games without a goal from a forward and there is too much talent up front to not get any scoring out of them. Gibson should keep the U.S. in the game but we are going to need guys like Grimaldi, Galchenyuk, Miller, Gaudreau, and others to put the puck in the net when they get the opportunity.
  8. Maybe todays game made the staff rethink which guys to cut as they will not be announded today as was originally planned. Chris Peters‏@chrismpeters According to USA Hockey, cuts will not be announced until Sunday at 3 a.m. ET. It was planned to be annc'd today: http://worldjuniors.usahockey.com/news_article/show/205370?referrer_id=707994 …
  9. Just saw that, huge recruiting week for the SIOUX! Even when we aren't playing we are winning right now! I'm sure the folks over at GPL will be shocked with his decison but I for one am very happy with this week!
  10. I thought I heard the final cuts for the U.S. would be on the 22nd.
  11. I believe you are talking about TJ Moore and yes he is one to keep an eye on I believe he led the elite league in scoring this past fall. Another player to watch that plays on the same team as Moore is a JR Spencer Naas who transfered in from Blake this season. There are a couple games on FSN tonight that could have some prospects to keep an eye on Elk River vs. Eden Prairie at 6pm and Edina vs. Grand Rapids at 8:30pm. Some prospects to keep an eye on in those games are Elk River- Soph. #5 Jacob Jaremko and JR #9 Andrew Zerban, Eden Prairie has a lot of their top prospects already comitted somewhere but SR. #15 Mason Bergh could be one to watch, Edina- Soph. #20 Dylan Malmquist and SR. #10 Andy Jordahl, Grand Rapids- JR #8 Avery Peterson, SR. #16 Cody Mann and #35 Hunter Shepard could be one of the better JR goalies in the state.
  12. Definitely sounds like a great pickup he played very well in the elite league this season and also so far this regular season. I know his team plays a pretty tough schedule as well so the numbers he is putting up are well earned. Hope his team can make a run come playoff time so I can get a chance to see him play in the state tournament.
  13. Denver is really struggling right now down 5-1 to Bemidji in the 3rd. I believe tonight will mark an 8 game winless streak for the Pioneers.
  14. I believe UND was actually one of the biggest suporters and really helped get Bemidji St. into the WCHA.
  15. I know UNI is very interested and he has visited there a couple times.
  16. Pretty good weekend for the Sioux, it was really good to see some guys who have been struggling to find the back of the net finish some chances this weekend and I would expect that just seeing the puck go in the net for them could really help them get going and we might see more of the stats we expected from guys like Rowney, Knight, and Grimaldi.
  17. No idea if we were interested in him or not but Neal Pionk of Hermantown has committed to Minnesota-Duluth per twitter.
  18. Ageed love to see the skill and potential future college players, I agree with you about STA and have for a long time. I didn't know too much about Dougherty but he looked pretty good last night and is only a junior, while I've liked Cotta since I saw him play as a freshman at Tonka he is a pure goal scorer and good skater and I believe he just recently took over as Tonka's all time leader in points which is a pretty nice accomplishment with some of the players Tonka has produced..
  19. The only good thing about the NHL lockout is all the high school hockey coverage from FSN. Should be a good game tonight with lots of talent Class A #1 St. Thomas Academy @ AA #3 Minnetonka is on tonight at 7 on FSN.
  20. Just saw that, Notre Dame has had some pretty good success getting MN kids.
