  1. I have heard rumors of it too and think it would be a pretty good fit actually.
  2. They would have been in even if they lost to Indiana and won their final 3 against the bottom of the B1G last nights win just solidified their spot.
  3. We need to have 4 points against Bemidji and then the best thing would probably be if DU and Minny just tie twice, but I think Minny will take 3 or 4 points from DU next weekend.
  4. It should be one of the better section final matchups, in their only matchup of the season Cathedral won 5-4 in OT in St. Cloud on January 11th. Hermantown has won 11 straight coming into the game while Cathedral is 12-1 in their last 13 games. Should be a good game hoping Cathedral can pull it off so I can get a chance to watch Poganski.
  5. I have liked Lizotte since the first time I watched him last season but I think he has a good ways to improve before he gets some D1 options.
  6. EGF also has another Ausmus who is a great skater but a little on the small side, for Warroad I think Nelson is Brocks brother but he is not in the same talent class, I'm not sure that Christian even really plays or not, the best prospects from Warroad are Soph forwards Kobe Roth and Jared Bethune. Also for anyone that wants to watch in the area and can't get to the game WDAZ will be broadcasting it live for the first time ever.
  7. Pretty suprised to see Clark getting the start, thought Zane would get a chance to redeem himself especially with the fact that Clark really wasn't very good in relief last night. Hope we get good enough goaltending and finish our chances tonight, need a win!
  8. He went on to add 2 more goals for 5 goals and 1 assist in todays 7-2 win. He now has 10 goals and 8 assists in the 2 playoff games and he only played 30 seconds of the 3rd period in the quaterfinal win, so basically 18 points in his last 5 periods of play.
  9. Austin Poganski just added his 3rd goal early in the 3rd as his team leads 5-1 in the section semifinals
  10. I don't think it does either but I don't think there will be 4,000 in attendance at REA tonight either. The atmosphere will be much better at the civic center tonight, I would expect a very nice crowd and a couple good games. I would guess EGF beats Crookston 5-2 and TRF over Warroad 3-2, wouldn't be suprised to see a couple OTs in the 2nd game.
  11. I thought Saunders was just as bad as Zane last night and Zane actually faced a few more difficult chances than Saunders did. I would be suprised if we didn't see Zane again tonight, give him a chance to redeem himself and I think he will get it done.
  12. I would bet not very high, Section 8A boys semifinals are in EGF tonight and I wouldn't be suprised if the attendance is better for those 2 games.
  13. In the time I was able to watch Rauhauser during period breaks and commercial breaks of the Sioux game I thought he looked like a pretty good prospect. He has some good hands and very good vision of the ice, pretty decent skater and good size but probably needs to add some muscle on the frame and get a little stronger. I think he is a kid to keep tabs on for a year of juniors and see how he performs there but I liked what I saw from him watching him for the first time.
  14. I thought the Caggiula-Rowney-Parks line had pretty consistent sustainded pressure. The MacMillan line had a few moments but really didn't put any consistent pressure on and the 4th line seemed like it wasn't on the ice as much as usual but I think that had more to do with all the penalty kill and powerplay time.
  15. I thought for the most part we played pretty well, but I can see where Hak would have been upset with the effort at times. A lot of chances we couldn't cash in on and part of that credit should go to Olkinuora for really stealing the game. The team probably deserved a better outcome and it would have been nice to get that game and gain some ground on St. Cloud, but the loss makes tonights game even bigger. Need to cut down on the penalties a little bit and pressure them a little more when we are on the PK, gave them a few too many odd man chances, but overall it was a pretty fun game to watch. The goaltending for us wasn't very good from either guy and hopefully it was just a fluky night in that area, I would probably come right back with Zane tonight and hope he can redeem himself.
  16. I think Penn State will struggle quite a bit next season and really their first few seasons. Maybe they can eventually turn into a decent program but I don't see it anytime in the near future.
  17. Always a couple matchups like that in section play with the #8 vs. #1 and #7 vs. #2 seeds usually.
  18. Not sure if we are after him or not but I plan to watch him tonight as the games will be on KVLY.
  19. I think what could end up happening if there are a couple years of bad attendance is the WCHA deciding that the regular season champion will host their final five.
  20. Mine is more recent based since I am only 22 and didn't get a chance to see a lot of the greats from the 1980's and earlier. I went with a mix of very good players and some of the guys I enjoyed watching most and like everyone has said a lot more that could gone on a honorable mention list. I went with only 2 goalies because I didn't want to take any of my forwards off this roster. Zach Parise-Drew Stafford-Brandon Bochenski Ryan Duncan-Jonathan Toews- T.J. Oshie Chris VandeVelde- Corban Knight- Jason Gregoire Evan Trupp- Brad Malone- Matt Frattin Danny Kristo-Travis Zajac Taylor Chorney- Robbie Bina Chay Genoway- Matt Greene Matt Smaby-Mike Commodore Travis Roche Karl Goehring Jean-Philippe Lamoureux A few guys on my honorable mention list- Matt Jones, Brock Nelson, Ryan Bayda, David Hale, Jordan Parise, and many other guys that could be added to this list as well.
  21. Glad that I will be able to see 1 of the games with it being on NBCSports now, hopefully FSN+ will pick up the root coverage I know they have had it on in past years and I will be able to watch both games.
  22. Looks like Miami and Notre Dame are being televised on FSN.
  23. The couple games I have seen you can definitely see the teams have the target on him and go after him phyiscally and a lot of times illegally. A lot of stuff happens to him behind the play and after the whistle and it is something he has dealt with relatively well from what I have seen. Wayzata was real bad about that and the refs should have let Wayzata know it wouldn't be tolerated by giving them some penalties right away but they didn't and eventually they gave Gersich a phantom kicking call. I definitely get your point and really wouldn't blame him if he went to the USHL next season.
