But Portland State had the lead three separate times early in the game against them and they didn't fold against San Diego State after getting down a few scores early. No doubt about it though, the defense needs someone to step up and be a leader.

I would assume it is part of a home and home. Doubt USD would pay the money amount of money it would cost to bring UND in for a single home game. Wonder if the return game has been scheduled or is TBD? 2015 makes sense as the only OOC game scheduled is at Wyoming.

Because of the actions of 15 people, of which 10 are current NDSU players and 3 are former players, no one gets to vote on the two issues they were hired to help gather signatures for. I didn't see the judge siding with anyone. I saw 10 current NDSU players plead guilty to a Class A Misdemeanor of Election Offense.

So they shouldn't be suspended because the media said they should and they would be empowered or they shouldn't be suspended because you don't think the offense was worthy of one? As a lawyer, I would think your views on forgery/fraud would be a little more strict, regardless of intent.

The majority (not all) that I saw from NDSU fans was one of three responses: 1)Not a big deal 2)More facts will come out, the employer is at fault 3)It will be pled down to a lesser charge Turns out none of those ended up being all that accurate. The punishment (from the courts) they got was in line with what most people on this board assumed was fair. The issue is that Bohl and GT are now the ones who have egg on their face from downplaying this since all 10 pled guilty to a Class A Misdemeanor. They had their day in court, unlike Jemison. They are now guilty by their own admittance. Very curious what Bohl has to say in his press conference now that he can't punt this down the road.

I've been critical of them in the past but believed they have stepped up. Just curious on your response to the first of the green team's post:

Keeping assignments on defense for UND will be the key to the game. It won't take much for the pitch guy to hit the corner or the QB to cut it up if someone doesn't stick to their assignment. NDSU's defensive game plan and execution against Georgia Southern last year is a pretty good model of how to defend a triple option team. Couple that with UND's suddenly explosive offense and you have a recipe for a solid win for the home team.

My point was only that the Big Sky and the MVFC aren't completely different like everyone (not only you) keeps saying. Both have teams that have historically dominated the conference. Both have a handful of middle of the road teams that are near the top every now and then. I'm not ready to say UNI isn't down. They are 0-1 against teams at their level, a YSU team that looks to be pretty good. Not ready to make a comment on Montana either. They are 2-2 with one loss traveling across the country to App State (who may or may not be having an off year as well) and a loss to NAU, who has a win at FBS UNLV. I think it is pretty early to be debating who is down and who isn't.

This: How is it very different? You say Montana has dominated the conference. Yet they have the same amount of conference championships as UNI. How is that different? And whether Illinois State got screwed out of the playoffs, that would be one appearance since 2006 for them and none since 1984 for Indiana State. Almost making the playoffs last year doesn't make you a playoff quality team 3 or 4 weeks into the season. And because you think Indiana State is good doesn't make the playoff quality either.

16 conference championships in 25 years by UNI isn't dominate? Since it is the same number that Montana has won in that same time frame, by your definition, they must be. And not sure how you measure historically, but Montana only has 19 conference championships since 1963. And the facts of the last few years don't back up Illinois State and Indiana State as playoff caliber teams. Illinois State hasn't made the playoffs since 2006 and Indiana State haven't made the playoffs since 1984.

And went to Gateway Football Conference champions Youngstown State and gave them their only conference loss. Also, UNI ended the year ranked #17.

Wasn't it four seasons ago that your coach was getting his head called for after his 3-8 season? I know there were also a lot of unhappy campers after he laid in egg at Misery State, losing 3-0, before backing into the playoffs as the last team after Montana St knocked Montana out of the playoffs the last week of the season.

When you say "others" are you referring to FBS/BCS level schools or would other FCS or lower level FBS schools that may be closer make him re-consider his verbal?

I don't believe those were the charges originally, looks like they have been changed. Also looks like he had a change of plea hearing yesterday instead of going to court in a few weeks. Hope he didn't miss class for that because I doubt Bohl would let him miss practice.

Than why did he ask for it to begin with? He was given what he wanted, now he won't acknowledge it. I think an explanation is warranted when you go out in the media saying there is only one deal you will take and when that deal is presented to you, you go silent on it.
