No. Hakstol said that he did not want to ask any of them to break their game day routine. He followed that up by saying if possible, he would like to have all six of them come and speak at a luncheon when the season is over. Not off the top of my head. Happy how the team has grown in the last month. Last Friday's loss can be partially blamed on some self-inflicted mistakes. Spoke very highly of the group of seniors. Overall, nothing that stuck out taht I can remember. He was pretty brief today. Tom Serratore stole the show and was quite entertaining.

Faison was the one that gave him an extension last summer. Can't let him off the hook that easy!
-
The latest episode was shown at the booster luncheon today per Hakstol's request. Good stuff.

I agree. The first few times I saw him out there, I had some concerns about his size. His hard work and effort make up being a few inches shorter than alot of the guys he guards.

In recent years, the travel has not been all that impressive to say the least, but it wasn't all that long ago where UND fans did travel in decent numbers to away football games. There is a core group of fans/tailgaters that would make the trip to Brookings or Vermillion regardless. And if the team is doing well or coming off a successful season, I think there would be a decent showing.
-
Fargo would be as many tickets are availabe, which at this point isn't much. Brookings and Vermillion would be a decent showing but alot of it would depend on how the team has done on the field that year or previous year. No different from any other school, but history shows that UND does have fans that are willing to travel.

Home and home's with them are fine. Quality OOC games against teams in one of the stronger conferences. Fans can travel to relatively easy and not much strain on the travel budget for the athletic department. But I agree that "need" is a little strong. We don't "need" to play them for everyone to remember how close the schools are and the history between them.

ND Senate passes funding for Option 3 (new med school building)

As Brewster said, best of luck to both girls.
-
The diversion wasn't the only option, it was the preferred one. But from the way things are currently going at the local, state and federal level regarding it, I'm not so sure it is a viable one in terms of cost and likelihood to happen.
-
This may be sold as a pro to people in those smaller communities, but this is something that needs to be looked at.
-
I believe UNDsports.com has had it up for quite a while. They have the scheduled games for 2013, 2014 and 2015 on there as well (I believe it matches what is currently on the wiki).
-
They didn't have an FBS money game on the table until then would be my guess.
-
Not sure if it is related or not, but the Champions Club posted this on Facebook yesterday: Probably not related. My guess is the Champions Club announcement is more along the lines of an "annual" announcement, especially with the timing.
-
It was actually 4-5 for the Summit. Neither conference fared all that well on the court and it sounds like in the injury department either.

I would have enjoyed watching a healthy Braden Hanson with UND's receiving corps play against NDSU's defense. NDSU's defense could have very well shut them down, but outside of Illinois State, did NDSU play a team with a pro-style offense passing threat? Maybe UNI? As far as I know, most schools in the MVFC are more run oriented. If they did, I just can't think of anyone off hand. I think it would have been a good match-up. As for the rest of the game, on paper it says it wouldn't have been much of a battle. But that is why the play the game.

Tied with a handful of FU posters on their message board?
-
UND didn't have the funds at the time and the total costs were unknown. NDSU didn't have the funds either but that was never an issue for Chapman. I'm sure Brescani appreciates begging for more money since his university outgrew its infrastructure with no plan in place to alleviate the issue.
-
You realize part of the reason it is being moved is due to scheduling conflicts at the REA right? Like the women having to play games at Purpur?
-
One interesting thing I've seen floated around is having NDSU move their game with USD to 9/14 or 9/21, opening up the 11/23 date. I know that UND has been set on an 11 game schedule, but I would think that was mainly because most options were on 9/21 and UND didn't want to play 12 games in a row. If USD was willing to move their game and if GT could stomach sending a home and home contract, Faison has to agree doesn't he? Purely hypothetical because I don't see either or both of the two things that need to happen actually happening, but food for thought.
-
That's what I'm thinking as well. It covers up one of the two garage doors on that end.
-
It looks like it is actually going on the south end. Can't quite tell what they are going to do with it. Link
-
I concur with this, especially with the injuries and other player issues they've had to battle. The only downside is they have been more inconsistent at home than I would have thought.
-
Interesting to see the FU faithful have as much if not more interest in a UND radio announcer than in something pertaining their own programs such as maybe 3 of their players quitting right before a playoff run, 2 players getting kicked off the team a few weeks ago for no named reason or another player quitting the team because his scholarship was getting reduced for disciplinary reasons. Not to mention the issues they had with Chris Berg this fall either.

Don't agree with the suspension but since that is the route they decided to go, glad they announced it rather than not. Otherwise, as you state, it looks like a "cover-up". Like your associate AD being suspended an no one knowing about it.
