  1. Will need to balance out the classes at some point as well at least if they want to stay towards the top of the conference consistently rather than compete just once or twice every 4-5 year stretch.
  2. Again, not addressing my original point. You called someone out for not linking to some numbers and then did the exact same thing in the next sentence. At least be consistent.
  3. Not at all what I was talking about..... Seems to me you pulled that out of the air as well? And are you inferring that all OSU fans live in the state of Ohio?
  4. How can you call someone out for "pulling stats out of their ass" and then doing the exact same thing in the next sentence?
  5. The little man syndrome some of you are projecting is similar to the FU fan base. I believe his point was that, to hockey fans, yes UM-UND would be a much bigger and more intriguing match-up. To the casual viewer who wasn't going to watch (and probably won't regardless), seeing UM-OSU on the schedule would make them more likely to tune in because nationally, OSU is a more recognizable brand. They likely don't know that OSU hasn't been all that great at hockey lately, nor do they care, but they recognize the name. And to the point that the potential is there for OSU's attendance to grow is a very valid one. If they actually start winning some games, particularly against familar B1G opponents, people will start showing up. Everyone loves a winner, that doesn't change. Edit: hrkac hit the nail on the head.
  6. No joke, he's been on the job for almost 2 whole months and hasn't filled all of the open scholarships yet!!! Fire him too.
  7. Illinois. Full list of past locations here. Future members Maryland and Rutgers have never hosted as well.

Don't disagree with that much either. I'd be curious on how the contract reads. What kind of buyouts or guarantee are in it? Maybe it is less than face value as often contracts are merely to provide the illusion of stability. What concerns me is the timing. If Muss goes, a search needs to be done, but it needs to be done quickly otherwise this recruiting class could end up being a bust, setting UND back even further.

I don't disagree with that at all (though I think more feel Muss should be gone immediately than you think). I'm not ready to throw the OC and DC under the bus with the HC after 3 games from them though.

The OC and DC have been in their positions for 3 games! And after those 3 games you want to replace a young and promising defensive coordinator (who was a stellar ST coordinator) and an offensive coordinator who is working with 3 freshman quarterbacks and for the most part is doing pretty well? I understand the frustration with Mussman as everything starts and ends with him but cleaning house top to bottom is a ridiculous knee jerk reaction. Step back from the ledge and let the season play out. Mussman without a doubt isn't getting fired during the season despite how the arm chair quarterbacks think that will magically make this team better. And yes, I think something needs to be done, but after 3 games and in the middle of the season is not the time to do it.

Based on 3 games from rookie coordinators? Not an overreaction at all...

Was just two weeks ago that Lou was as a hero with the FU faithful when he picked NDSU over KSU.

Took under 20 minutes for this to make it on FU's board as a fact.

An NDSU troll made that claim. Do you really think there is any way that is accurate? With only about 15 or so scholarships available per year, they offer 30x that amount? Claims like that are thrown against the wall, brought up once or twice more and they somehow stick and become fact to FU trolls.
  15. Maybe you should look into donating what you spend on internet each month to starving children. Seems like a win for everyone involved.
  16. Most people are already spending that money on an expanded package for their cable or satellite in order to get FCS. I believe Midco's ran around $6/month before taxes, which is $72, just short of what the annual subscription your talking about costs.

Mussman won't be fired midseason (for more than one reasons) regardless of what happens the rest of the year so it doesn't really matter.
  18. Not sure how many times this has to be said, but D-II is still under the NCAA umbrella and we would have had to change it or continue to face sanctions. If you would have rather been stuck under sanction and in the sinking ship that is D-II, I can't help you there.
  19. Yeah, but WDAZ didn't have a penalty clock!! Also, whole lot of dreaming and wishful thinking in your post.
  20. Definitely some mugshots available for giant cardboard head cut-outs... My guess is they control the crowd and what is going on behind them easier from this location. Agree that it is a little strange though. My guess was they were going to use Newman Field.
  21. Has already been confirmed by multiple sources including the NDSU athletic department.
  22. Has definitely caused quite a meltdown which is entertaining though I'd much rather argue about that than the job status of our FB coach.
  23. Being broadcast live from the Fargodome downtown Fargo...
  24. There is at least 2 guys playing hurt right now and it shows big time. When healthly, those guys don't get beat like a drum. What concerns me is their back-ups must not be capable of playing better than an injured starter. Adams getting dinged up in spring ball was another blow. I didn't think that UND's O-line would be an issue, but even playing average would be a step-up from where they are playing. Mollberg and Bartells along with the RB's don't have a chance. No clue where to even start with the defense. Good game plan by UM. Know that UND will be selling out to stop the run and probably worked on that all week and proceed to just throw the ball all game instead. Not that it would have mattered but maybe had they ran it it would have shortened the game and they wouldn't have scored so many points.
  25. While that is huge for them, it has absolutely zero to do with this conversation.
