  1. My guess is he's probably frustrated because of those things. Sees that he can help on the field. But you're right, enjoy learning while you can, use it to your advantage and then when it is your time, take over and shine.
  2. I'd imagine being a redshirt on a team that isn't winning probably isn't real fun. Hopefully he sees this as a chance for him to step in and make a huge difference next year, can see replacing Hardin on kick returns and not missing a beat plus being a very talented slot receiver.

So Mussman says what everyone else can see and he's in the wrong? He didn't single out an individual player, that I would have a problem with. I understand the frustration that people have but when Mussman doesn't say anything negative in his press conferences, he gets ripped. When he says there is a problem with effort and attitudes, he gets ripped. He's 100% accurate in his assessment to anyone who has watched the last couple games. Why that is happening and not stopping is a completely separate issue.
  4. Exactly. Lots of FCS and lower FBS schools get stud kids like this. The big schools don't need to take a gamble.
  5. Huff on Braun will likely be the big key in the game. Two years ago, Huff frustrated Braun to no end and got him off his game to the point where he got a technical. Last year, Huff was out and Braun had a big game (Brekke being out was pretty big for UND as well). Game is early in the season, hopefully both teams will be at full strength. No doubt the Betty will be absolutely rocking.
  6. Point taken, though at the FCS level scholarships do not have to be a full ride. You could offer a partial scholarship to come here and get fully healthy and then prove himself was more along what I was thinking. Also, as bad as it sounds and something that you hope coaches don't do often, but scholarships are only guaranteed for one year, not for the full duration they are at the school. Not sure he would want to stay here if he isn't able to play either. I don't know anything about this particular kid and I hope he is able to recover enough so that his athletic ability is able to earn him a college scholarship somewhere. Not advocating the coaching staff offers him a scholarship with the thought of cutting him a year later if he can't cut it, just stating he may be worth rolling the dice on a partial scholarship.
  7. Since it was allowed, it wasn't a big deal, but I wonder what the number of riders who parked in the A lot or other areas around the shuttle was vs. those that paid to park in the ramp. As someone stated earlier, I wouldn't be surprised if it comes back, there will end up being a fee to park in the ramp and then an additional fee per rider of the shuttle. They could lower the ramp fee to $5 for games and then make up for it with charging a couple bucks per person to ride the shuttle, picking up some revenue from those who park elsewhere and still use it. Don't know if it would work out number-wise but seems like they would end up a little bit ahead of where they were.
  8. That's on the city as it is their requirements for "auditoriums".

People who complain about other people's money suck.
  10. Never been to the last two, but I know we parked at least a 10 minute walk away from the Mariucci when I was there. Looking at the Kohl Center website it doesn't appear that there is a lot of parking right next to the building. No clue on the Herb Brooks Center, though with a capacity of less than half of the Ralph, I would assume parking isn't as big of a problem.
  11. Yeah, NDSU has been really on the ball about getting the remodel of the BSA done, 10 years and counting. You claim to want to "discuss" things and say that you are "asking the questions that should be asked". To who? A bunch of anonymous people on the internet?? If you really wanted answers, you would ask some of those people you work on campus with and actually get real answers instead of just complaining here. If you do it here, you know that you aren't likely to get the answer you want and you'll be able to complain some more that no one is answering your questions. You ever tried to park at the Metrodome? So you want an arena that is at capacity maybe 25 nights a year to eat up a bunch of the limited space left on campus so you don't have to walk less than 1/2 mile on those nights? The Ralph isn't in the middle of the boonies where space is unlimited, it was put on campus because that is where it belongs.
  12. Unforutnately at this level, sometimes you have to roll the dice on a situation like this or with academics to get a kid that you otherwise may not.

You should care. It is where the attitude, accountability and discipline starts and ends. Quite clear that has been a big part of the problem has been this year. At least the coaches are sending a message that even if the results are terrible, that doesn't mean you get to goof around and get a free pass. The last thing this program needs right now is players to figure that it doesn't matter and we start seeing a rash of off-field problems.
  14. Because.....?

Faison was at the game Saturday, the attendance will speak volumes more than anything that is being accomplished here.
  16. That is one way to open up more parking closer to the arena....
  17. If you're wondering who the poll encompasses:
  18. I think it would be a pretty nice goodwill gesture on their part and won't be surprised if they end up doing it but that is a pretty bold statement. There are a lot of ways to get close to the door for those cold nights, but demanding the athletic department to subsidize something that less than 5% of fans use on a given night isn't something that I would consider a necessity.
  19. I'm guessing Geno redshirts next year anyway, but Jones runs a ton of offense with 2 guys that I would consider pretty close to true point guards (Webb/Anderson) so I don't think it will be too big of a deal. I think both of them will be able to play off the ball. With the offense UMKC ran, it probably won't be that strange for Tyler.
  20. There is no depth on the line. Back-ups that have had to play can't quite seem to get it and some of the starters that are playing are doing so and are obviously playing injured and because of it, getting beat over and over. Jake and Jer need to be able to get to the second level if they are going to be successful. Mollberg and his WR need at least a little time to let a play develop to get a catchable ball thrown and caught. Neither of those is happening. The plays that seem to have success are when our 240 lb WR takes a snap and runs straight ahead, giving the defense no time to penetrate.
  21. My only point was for extended periods of time. Both guys are capable of playing the point but I think are better off the ball unless necessary. I don't see too many situations where at least one of either Webb or Anderson aren't in the game.

    Give it time....
  23. Unless the donations are going through the Champions Club, which one time and large donations usually don't, they aren't going to be included in that number. They are going to be gifts to the University and directed to athletics and would show up that, in things like the $324 million Spirit Campaign. Focusing on that revenue number is a losing battle. It is a manufactured number.
  24. Based on what? Are you referencing the CBS one or the Midco one?

Also remember that Bohl wasn't NDSU's first choice for the job. It was offered to Terry Allen, current head coach at Missouri St. who at the moment are 1-6 on the year and has a career record of 27-45 since he started there. He didn't want to deal with the transition and turned it down, which is how Bohl ended up with the job.
