I think it would be a pretty nice goodwill gesture on their part and won't be surprised if they end up doing it but that is a pretty bold statement. There are a lot of ways to get close to the door for those cold nights, but demanding the athletic department to subsidize something that less than 5% of fans use on a given night isn't something that I would consider a necessity.

I'm guessing Geno redshirts next year anyway, but Jones runs a ton of offense with 2 guys that I would consider pretty close to true point guards (Webb/Anderson) so I don't think it will be too big of a deal. I think both of them will be able to play off the ball. With the offense UMKC ran, it probably won't be that strange for Tyler.

There is no depth on the line. Back-ups that have had to play can't quite seem to get it and some of the starters that are playing are doing so and are obviously playing injured and because of it, getting beat over and over. Jake and Jer need to be able to get to the second level if they are going to be successful. Mollberg and his WR need at least a little time to let a play develop to get a catchable ball thrown and caught. Neither of those is happening. The plays that seem to have success are when our 240 lb WR takes a snap and runs straight ahead, giving the defense no time to penetrate.

My only point was for extended periods of time. Both guys are capable of playing the point but I think are better off the ball unless necessary. I don't see too many situations where at least one of either Webb or Anderson aren't in the game.

Unless the donations are going through the Champions Club, which one time and large donations usually don't, they aren't going to be included in that number. They are going to be gifts to the University and directed to athletics and would show up that, in things like the $324 million Spirit Campaign. Focusing on that revenue number is a losing battle. It is a manufactured number.

Based on what? Are you referencing the CBS one or the Midco one?

Also remember that Bohl wasn't NDSU's first choice for the job. It was offered to Terry Allen, current head coach at Missouri St. who at the moment are 1-6 on the year and has a career record of 27-45 since he started there. He didn't want to deal with the transition and turned it down, which is how Bohl ended up with the job.

I disagree completely with this. As I stated earlier, a few years ago I sat in on a presentation of Jody's and he went through their financials, including what they give to UND and what they pay to cover debt payments on the Betty among a ton of other things. Because of how they are set up, the information is accessible.

You're right. Complaining about it without giving any effort to find out the facts and just making assumptions is a lot easier to do.

I would hope that the next coaching contract, to whomever it may be, will be very much tied to bonuses like this. The other thing that others have mentioned is that the pool of money for assistant coaches is going to have to be bumped up as well.

Don't have much to argue with on that. I think that Anderson or Webb can play the point and Huff can slide over if needed as a third option if those two are out. Schuler/Antwi/Benton all provide a little bit something different off the bench, but I don't see any of them being able to play the point for any extended period of time. I'm really torn on Hooker. If he is good enough to earn 15-20 minutes a night and the staff thinks putting him in the line-up makes a big enough difference to get over the hump, then I'm all for him playing this year. But I would hate to see him get his shirt pulled, play 5 minutes a game and then not make the dance. It will be interesting to see the different combinations the staff will be able to go with this year with big line-ups, fast line-ups, small line-ups, etc. Lot of guys should be fighting for minutes and it gets even more interesting if Stefan is cleared to play.

You were the one calling him out a month ago. I left the spelling intact so people could verify it was your post.
-
It is possible, but I'm not sure the minutes are there unless he is truly that talented. Anderson/Webb are going to and rightfully should eat up a lot of minutes at the two guard spots. I think Hooker can contribute and I know that there is a lot riding on this year but hopefully he can sit back and learn and then have the next 4 years to step in a be a leader.

Money was borrowed to pay for the Betty, another asset that UND will someday be taking over debt free. And while the Ralph may be able to cover the shortfall that a parking ramp would create, that cash would come from what is supposed to go to UND and if there is anything I have learned the past week or two, it is that the Ralph is supposedly already not giving UND enough or close to what was promised in terms of dollars. Having to support a parking ramp would just make the problem worse. As for the addition, it is a 3,100 square foot storage space, cost was not large.

Was thinking the same thing.

What has changed in his recruiting style outside of what appears to be more offensive D-Men?
-
Hmmm......

Happened right in front of me. Absolutely terrible call. Progress was stopped. Backbreaker.

Can Mackey graduate yet?

The report I saw a few years ago showed that this "check" is going to UND.
-
So are you going to complain on a message board or actually contact Jody Hodgson or Brian Faison to get the information? The majority of what you claim to want should be available to the public.
-
Yes.

If you don't think UND athletics is in a much better place than because of the Ralph and also the Betty then I'm not sure what kind of reality you live in. The tax returns for all of the entities are freely available to look through as they all operate as non-profits. Go ahead and point out where money is being wasted or withheld from UND. I've sat in on a presentation by Jody Hodgson a few years ago and they are open with the dollar amount directed back to UND along with other income that passes back to them. And at some point, UND will take over the building, meaning all the upgrades and maintenance that is being put back into the building instead of just going to UND will benefit UND. What was the level of profit that was "promised" to UND vs what they are getting?
