I'll be making the voyage down. Could be an interesting atmosphere depending on how their football game goes and how many decide to continue imbibing between games. Fully expect it to be on par with a trip to Mariucci.

Wow, terrible. Nice strawman argument saying that the new nickname will be "silly, moronic, boring" and that being the sole basis of why UND should not pick a new nickname. And assuming that no one will get behind it is patently false. Guessing that there are many people at other colleges (Arkansas State, Dartmouth, Marquette, Miami, etc) and high schools (GF Central) who claimed the same thing when they went through a change and no one would get behind a new nickname as well. Personally, I hope that the committee doesn't truly believe that no nickname is not an option and they are just trying to appease a few people. Even if they do think its an option, I'm confident those elected by the stakeholder's will understand why it isn't. For those who claim a bad nickname is the reason they won't support the University of North Dakota, I don't think their support will be missed much.* *For reference: See the threat of no more donations from people when the nickname was changed and then compare it to what direction the level of contributions has went the last few years (hint: it continues to grow).

Expecting big things from Nash, don't think they have anyone that can match up with him. Wouldn't be surprised if they tried Kory Brown on him. He's their best defender but will be giving up 4 inches. Hoping Q and de Rouen are closer to full health. Think that Calcaterra can have some success down low as well. Shouldn't be anybody with the height to slow him down unless Kading steps up. Not sure on Jacobson, guessing he'll play. He's been streaky, if he's on, he will be a factor, if he's off, don't bother worrying about him. He has 3 bad games where he is a combined 1-26 (.038%) and 4 good games where he is 21-38 (.552%). NDSU has only been playing between 6-8 guys in their regular rotation, hopefully UND can wear them down.

With that offer, is it safe to guess that we may be out on Tillman or Adams or both? I know we need depth in the secondary, but would they really bring in 3 safety transfers, especially with Reyes looking to be the starter at SS for 3 more years? Maybe one of them can play corner?

Are you sure about this? I thought as part of the settlement, UND had to keep the trademarks/copyrights active and under their control. This is why they started the Dacotah Legacy collection (limited runs of apparel with historic logos).

Looks like it was a combination of the two and the groups did not overlap (assuming this reporting is correct):
-
UND never got into any kind of flow. UM really didn't either but put together a couple spurts.
-
Without Evers, UND is getting eaten alive down low. Zahui B having a day. She probably wouldn't make the team down at FU though.
-
I'd be surprised if someone didn't have that copyrighted related to the LA Kings somehow.

At this point, I believe it is the wind more than anything that causes the issues. Trying to put large pieces of roofing and siding up, especially at high heights, are not easy when it is overly windy.

30-40 days last I heard. Weather hasn't been helping but I think UND has someone new overseeing the project on their end and it will help move it along. Still hoping to be in there by spring, weather will have a fair amount to say about it.

He has one from UNC I believe.

There are fans who aren't attending games because Jones is the coach? I find it hard to believe that if it is the case, the number is anything that would make an actual dent in attendance. I'd understand there are people who don't attend the non-conference games because the home ones have been pretty poor in quality overall, but if they are using Jones as an excuse for not attending the home conference games, they are missing out. UND has a 14-6 record at home in conference play the two years they've been in the Big Sky, including going 8-2 last year.

Yes. Have you actually sent any e-mails or called someone at the REA or athletic department to voice your concerns or just put them out on a message board? Because I can tell which one of those two might actually have some impact on seeing some progress on the things you want to see. As for the rest of your post... What small group of executives is the REA benefitting that you are referring to? And feel free to believe that everyone here contributes (and I'm not talking buying tickets to a few games which done as a personal benefit, I'm talking actually donating money to the Champions Club or other parts of UND), I don't think the number is as high as you think. I didn't question whether you do or not, I fully believe you do. And I'm not questioning the loyalty of those who don't donate either, I'm just pointing out that CMSioux is spot on when talking about spending other people's money. My assumption is CM's assertion was that fans are demanding thousands and thousands of dollars of improvements but the programs that would benefit currently are not providing a level of revenue anywhere near what is required to fund these improvements. So yes, it will be "other people's" money. And don't kid yourself if you think that tickets and concessions from the BESC would be enough to cover the extra needed. And while that is true, I do agree that they need to look into making some upgrades into the BESC or at least explain what their future plan is. Comparing what goes on in the REA and in the BESC is not an apples to apples comparison. The BESC itself is currently being paid for from extra revenue from the REA. I wish they'd divert more money to the BESC, but at this point, that is not a decision that UND has the final say in. Again, e-mail someone in the athletic department to lobby harder or someone at the REA to voice your concerns. Saying you want this or demanding you want that sure makes for a good read on a message board but in reality, it isn't going to do any good.

I can see how it can be read either way. They don't have the survey results posted yet, once they do, it should be fairly simple to see the breakdown and figure out what the Herald couldn't clearly put into words.

Hooker and de Rouen are both playing banged up, could definitely tell watching them try to get up and down the court last night. Even if they were both at 120%, it wouldn't have made a difference, we didn't have the size or the defense to stop UM's inside game last night.
-
If you think that all the people on this message board give to UND and the athletic department, you are kidding yourself. And there's a difference between giving input and commenting on how things should go vs. demanding that UND and/or the REA put huge investments into improvements when the money clearly isn't there or being allocated. Unless you have some untapped source to pay for these grand improvements (some of which I fully agree need to be done), then quit being offended when people make comments about spending other people's money, because that is where these big projects are going to come from. Any questions?

Considering UND had a 65-61 victory over USD and held the Summit League's leading scoring without a field goal last November, I guess we're good?
-
Doesn't really matter but Tyler seemed to be set on that one. Hope I'm wrong but I think it's going to start unraveling the last part of the half.
-
Mo Walker dominating UND down low. Going to be a huge problem tonight. Don't think UND had an answer. 9 of UM's first 12.
-
Total athletic department. 50th in the nation in 2013. Their football department had something like $31 million of revenues in 2013 attributed to it.

Friday - Poolman Saturday - Mark Mac

Iowa State has $62 million in Revenues. Tickets and Contributions total $26.5 million alone plus another $29.4 million in Rights/Licensing.

Disregard this. The SMU thing seems to be bad information. %GOBC

Well done by Q. On another note, Drake's arena looks a lot like the Betty could if they put in permanent seating on the ends instead of the portable bleachers. Understand that takes away from the multi-purpose use of it but just food for thought.
