Good enough for you? http://www.inforum.com/news/3763005-15-und-nickname-ideas-make-committees-cut

You put more work into it than the people selling the logo with the tongue sticking out, so credit to you for that!

Not so fast, per the GFHerald: http://www.grandforksherald.com/news/education/3879069-interim-und-president-will-be-schafer-or-dilorenzo Personal opinion is its a pretty easy choice...

Short of the Brawl of the Wild, I don't think anyone expected these late games to mean that much (and even that one doesn't mean a whole lot). Here are the preseason polls for reference: 2015 Preseason Football Polls Coaches' Poll 1. Montana State (6) 134 2. Eastern Washington (6) 133 3. Montana (1) 121 4. Cal Poly 111 5. Northern Arizona 95 6. Idaho State 90 7. Sacramento State 66 8. Southern Utah 64 9. Portland State 51 9. North Dakota 51 11. Weber State 43 12. UC Davis 33 13. Northern Colorado 22 Media Poll 1. Eastern Washington (17) 553 2. Montana State (17) 541 3. Montana (5) 446 3. Idaho State (5) 446 5. Cal Poly (1) 433 6. Northern Arizona (1) 399 7. Sacramento State 278 8. Southern Utah 255 9. North Dakota 226 10. Weber State 160 11. UC Davis 145 12. Portland State 133 13. Northern Colorado 127

EWU would actually either have a 1 game winning or losing streak, to end the year. If they finish the year with a 3 game losing streak, that means they lose their last 2 and end up at 6-5. If they split, they get in before UND at 7-4 with their losses being Oregon, UNI, NAU and PSU/Montana. Good insight, crazy how what seems to be the top teams this year don't play each other until the last couple weeks. Also strange to see who the upper teams seem to be this year. A lot of parity in the Big Sky and FCS in general.

I know its not necessarily "Bubba Ball" but I think UND needs to not only win the next two but do so with some style points. UND's wins have been by 11, 3, 7, 2 and 6. In those games they had leads of 21, 21, 18, 6 and 14 respecitvely. UND is also sitting at -29 point differential on the year.
-
Can't wait until they use the letters "UND" and add green instead of red.

Pretty much over the "fact" that no nickname was the most popular. Clearly the message boards and social media are the voice of the vocal minority (vote totals for Nodaks and Roughriders further confirms it). Not to mention attendance at the support rallies were beyond a complete joke. My personal opinion is it should have been eliminated day one. But, in the appearance of all-inclusiveness and "fairness", it wasn't, it was basically given the same treatment as everything else (outside of the "reconsideration"), so I'm not sure how complaining about how it was eliminated carries much weight.
-
Are you referring to in general or related specifically to the UND vote?
-
Nah, it will be people complaining about not getting the logo that they were "promised".

Looks like the Maplesoft Hawks (a young kids hockey club near Ottawa) currently have the rights to it.

Grand Opening of the HPC open the public tonight. If you want to see what a game-changer looks like, I'd recommend checking it out.

North Dakota vs. Minnesota in Las Vegas - October 2018

I'd be really surprised if it isn't at the new arena attached to the NY-NY and Monte Carlo that is scheduled to open next spring. -
How so? The committee (who was tasked to come up with a new nickname) removed it (because it isn't a nickname) with exact same process that eliminated everything but the top 5. The only complaining that is justified is because it got a second look when nothing else did.

Attendance would have been well under 2,000 if UND was playing outdoors last weekend. Weather was miserable. Tailgating almost wasn't fun, but we managed.
-
I wasn't sure what to think of that but I think I agree with your thought process. UND's losses were to both teams were bad, but in completely different ways. I don't see Montana running the table to get to 7 wins and cloud the playoff bubble even more and it would be nice for UND's sake if ISU were to pick up another couple wins.
-
From a selfish perspective, definitely want PSU and Montana State to win to make UND's wins look better.

They screwed up the Biscuits logo by not using bacon strips to dot the i's. I don't think it is real hard to understand why people are going to buy new gear sight unseen: Because it represents the University of North Dakota and that is what is important. No different than the Fighting Sioux name and logo did (hopefully with less controversy), same as the interlocking logo has and will (hopefully with less confusion).

The advantage that Oklahoma and North Carolina fans have (along with the multiple designs and variations of their interlocking letter logos) is that they are unique and not easily confused with one of the most recognizable colleges in the world. No matter how you slice it, that is a fact. UND's interlocking ND will always play second fiddle to and be confused with Notre Dame's interlocking ND. As for the time comment, UND has been using the interlocking logo for quite some time as well, likely over a century depending on what variation you want to look at. Time has nothing to do with it.

The upgraded stadium has been part of the Facilities Master Plan as long as I can remember. While it is more of a "pipe dream" type thing, the way that the HPC was built is very similar to how some of the renderings shows it. I've see a few versions, one with the east grand stands of the stadium going over the top of where the second phase of the HPC is going to be built and another with the field rotating 90 degrees and being a horseshoe. No clue if there has been any updates since the HPC has actually been built though. To your actual question, not sure that UND's website has them listed anywhere (though they are in the middle of a campus wide master plan assessment), but JLG's website has one of a few different versions that have been floating around.

Personally, I'll be buying things with the new logo. Haven't really cared all that much for the interlocking merchandise that has been out there, majority of it is quite uninspiring. It is a nice secondary logo but it doesn't do much to move the needle otherwise. Plus it is always fun when people confuse it with Notre Dame.

The main one being that anyone with an e-mail address on file (valid or not) got counted as an "eligible" vote whether they cared or not. That number would mean a lot more if people had to actively register to vote. If you want some sort of basis for actual active supporters directly of UND athletics instead of some random catch-all number, there were approximately 2,600 Champions Club memberships in 2014-2015, people that donate yearly to UND athletics.
