Another game to add to the schedule: UND @ UMKC on Dec. 7. Which is fine by me, since it's in my back yard, but they've been alternating between Grand Forks and Kansas City every year and this should have been their turn to go to Grand Forks.
There's a tripleheader weekend Oct. 7-8 (including the IceBreaker Tourn. with BC, Mich St. & Air Force), if that works for you. I plan on going up that weekend with 3 friends.
The way that her termination was handled is a disgrace. I hope that those who were in on this shameful handling of it are held to account for it. Treating people like this has got to be a real downer, morale-wise, for other faculty and staff.
Makes a huge difference when you're getting some pitching. Had a staff ERA of over 8 going into the tournament and all of a sudden our pitchers have only given up a total of 3 runs in two games. We've got decent hitting (team BA of .291), so if we continue to get that kind of pitching, who knows. . . . . .
Right on; one has to block out the regular naysayers and focus on the step-by-step progress that's being made. The schedule gets dramatically better (and tougher) next season (and thereafter), and our last two recruiting classes will start to make their impact, if not this season, next season when it really counts. Go SIOUX!
Anyone heard whether or not we're pursuing either any of the UNO football players or any of their recruits? I would think there'd be some good talent to be had.
