A lot of ESTABLISHED D1 teams would like to beat a Big 10 team or quality MAC or MVC team, but we've only been at this for less than two seasons. Last year we had perhaps a better than expected season and this year we're struggling. Give it time, the quality wins will come. Roebuck left DII with, what, the highest winning percentage among active DII coaches? He's proven he knows how to build a winner. Based on his track record alone, he deserves our patience while he develops what I believe will be a quality DI program.

Contrast what with SDSU? They're four years ahead of us in the transition. Hopefully, Mussman and the Sioux will be in a comparable position in four years.

Good post; its time to get over it. I hate it any time the Sioux lose, and when they lose a game like yesterday, let's face it, a good part of the hurt/anger comes from the fact that our good old pride has been dealt a serious blow.

I'm a Dale Lennon fan, also, and you essentially said what I was thinking, that Coach Mussman has only had one recruiting class. Give the man a chance; this year's team is not his team and, really, next year's won't be, either. Today's debacle notwithstanding, he has done a decent job with the talent that he inherited; let's see if we don't start to see real improvement by the 2011 season, just in time for being playoff eligible in 2012.
