Vanek has talent. He's just a lazy a-hole who's going to get his ass kicked at the pro level. His work ethic sucks. Have you ever heard anyone say what a hard worker Vanek is or saw a great hussle play by him? Prpich v. Vanek. I bet the house, the kids and the dog on Mike. Here's hoping for a rematch in Beantown.

Who are the Gopers and what the hell are they doing in the Tourney?
-
Granted, I was not at the game but I'm confused with all the comments about how Brandt sucked. I listened to TH on the radio and it sounded as if JB made some huge saves, especially in the first period. I agree it would not qualify as his best game but our D hung him out to try on a few occassions. After Deno's come to Jesus talk this week, I doubt that will happen again. I said it before and I'll say it again. Brandt will be skating around the Fleet Center with the NC trophy over his head. I can't wait to see the Sioux in person this Friday.

Gophers got by far the toughest region. I hope Duluth is back to full strenght. Heard that Lessard was hurt in the AA game. Wisconsin has to like their draw. Sioux will likely face a pro DU crowd should the two met on Saturday. My guess is that JPar plays Friday and Brandt on Saturday. Anyone know if Sioux get early or late game on Friday?

Anyone have any idea on how pairwise bonus is determined or how tiebreakers are decided? Right now, CC sits tied for 13 in pairwise with teams outside the 16 getting auto bids (Niagara, Holy Cross, Harvard). Does this mean they have a chance to get in?

Congrats to UM. Sounded like a great game to watch. I'm hoping the Sioux head out this way to CS. IMO, the two of the three best teams in the country played tonight (UMD being the third). I hope the seeding pans out where a Sioux - Gopher final would be possible. However, as someone earlier pointed out, a semifinal matchup would be more likely.
-
Should be a great game tonight. Good practice for the Sioux playing in front of a full house cheering for the other team. I predict a similar situation in Beantown in a handful of weeks. IMO, UND, UM and UMD all have a good shot of making the final. However, I suspect that the powers that be will see to it that a few of the weak kneed east teams show up. The Gophs seem to be peaking at the right time. How did a team with so much talent lose 13 games? They sure made a solid Duluth team look silly a few times last night. If Vanek had half the heart/hussle of guys like Parise or Potulny he'd be an all-star in the NHL now. Here's hoping Prpich knocks the curl out of his girlie perm tonight. What color did the Gophs decide to paint their nails for tonights game? LET'S GO SIOUX.

Man, just got out of a meeting. Looking at my watch the last 30 minutes. Great to get to the board and page through the threads. Feel I didn't miss a thing. Thanks. Let's go Sioux.
-
Allright, I was wrong, But the good news is that I woke up with a full head of hair this morning. So that still makes me wrong on just one prediction. LET'S GO SIOUX.

AA scores with 35 seconds left. 3-1 AA. When did CC change goalies. Thought I heard that McIlheeny in net.
-
I wonder if Hill will rotate goalies if they win. In pregame they said King was 3-0 in last three starts and other goalie was 0-2. Wasn't King in goal with AA stole a point in GF?
-
It's all good. You can never offend me. I personally want CC because I'd like to see them make the tourney. That said, I'd love a chance to pound AA.
-
AA scores 39 seconds later to tie it at 1. Announcer here says it is definately an AA crowd. Frishmon gets the CC goal. WOW, AA scores again on 3 on 1. 2-1 AA.
-
CC scores. Sterling. May have been tipped. 1-0.
-
Thanks SFiP. That info may have been useful ABOUT 20 YEARS AGO. I use that cranial spray paint from Ronco. It works great as long as I don't sweat or go out in the rain. Still 0-0. 6 minutes in and AA doesn't have a shot yet. CC starting to control play but King has been solid.
-
0-0 after 1. From the sounds of it, King made a couple of big saves but it seemed like Alaska controlled the action.
-
CC kills penalty. Immediately goes on the PP.
-
UA about to go on powerplay. 5X3 for UA for next 29 seconds.
-
0-0. About halfway through the first. UA had a goal disallowed for man in the crease. King in goal for UA, Zabba for CC.

[ Remember last year when the tigger fans were doing the GO TIGERS thing from opposite sides of the arena? Sioux fans were substituting SUCKS for GO. I definitely think the SUCKS was louder than the GO, but ya know, I was sitting amongst a bunch of Sioux fans. I do remember that. My best memory is when the Sioux came back to tie the game and then win in overtime. I think it was Karl's senior year. Sioux fans were going crazy. Good luck on the Denver commute. My wife makes it every day and sometimes it can really suck. Shouldn't be bad tonight with everyone calling in sick watching March Madness.
-
What scares me the most is the fact that the Gophs appear to be gelling at the right time. Those perms were a GREAT idea. Maybe Blais will have the Sioux get a team manicure before Friday's game.
-
1 UND 2 UMD 3 CC 4 UM 5 AA 22 - Over/under on IQ of Frankie Richardo. I got a C note on the under.
-
I've been to both CC-UND and CC-MN games in the Springs. UND appears to have a more vocal local following although MN does have a decent fan base here. I think either would draw well. From my perspective, CS is a pretty week sports town when it comes to college hockey. People far more passionate about the Avs than the Tigers. If CC gets in as a 4 seed, I doubt they would send UND, UMD or UM here to avoid WCHA first round matchup. Also, Denver will be in the mix for a trip to the west region. I'm with 'Tupa, can't wait for hockey the next few days. No TV feed for game tonight but good chance to get tomorrow's game locally if CC wins. All you going to the games - ENJOY. Should be another great weekend of college hockey.
-
CC beats AA on Thurs. Loses to Sioux on Friday. Beats the Rodents for third place on Saturday and gets a bid. GUARANTEED.

North Dakota Hockey is a little nervous that our boys in Green will not be heading to CS. I assured him that the West Regional bracket will shake out as follows: North Dakota v. Niagara CC v. Miami Posting the prediction here will provide him some comfort since he reads the wisdom and rantings on this board as gospel. As a side note, the only prediction I have been proven wrong on in the past concerns my assurance that a bottle of Helsinki Formula Hair Tonic was going to reverse my male pattern baldness. Unless the stuff takes 20 years to start working, sadly that prediction has proved false. As for this one. Book your tickets west and get ready from some great college hockey.
