North Dakota is also mentioned in this weeks SI colume by Steve Ruskin. Someting about his dad being in Grand Forks watching Sioux hockey and asking why everyone was wearing Notre Dame sweatshirts. Also, I remember that Sports Illustrated had an article on the Sioux football team back in the 70's. Featured a wide receiver with the last name Gustofson (can't remember his first name) who had the nickname "Magic".

Congrats on a great season Sioux. Gutsy performance today. I thought we had enough magic to pull out that last drive. Great coaching adjustments at half. Not that it would have made a difference but I thought that facemask penalty was weak. Tough camera angle but it sure didn't look like he got much of it. I got my play by play from the message board. Good job guys. Better than listening to Mr. Ed. What impressed my about Winona was the gutsy play calling. Option pass on 4th and 1. Statue of Liberty. How about "Fast Actin' Tinactin" since most defensemen are left itching their crotch after a goal wondering what happened to their jock. Also, I gotta believe that seeing those three crossing the blue line on a rush makes even the best D-man's groin a little sweaty.
