Hate to say it but Toews was outplayed by Hensick last night. Don't get me wrong, I'd much rather have Toews on my team, but Henisck got the better of him when they were matched up last night. Hopefully JT uses that as motivation tonight. I'm sure he will be matched up with Osposko all night. Time to elevate his game even further and finished his last season in green by hoisting number 8. The guy has won at every level he has played. Time to add a NC to his trophy case. GO SIOUX.

From my vantage, Genoway was one of our better defenseman tonight. It seemed like the speed of Michigan was causing problems. We didn't win too many races to loose pucks. Also, the Sioux did a great job of not retaliating to a number of MI penalties. Hensick took a real cheap shoot on a Sioux player late in the game. Also, the key on Oshie's third goal was winning the face off. It's the little things like that that are going to make a difference tomorrow. Any one know what leagues the refs came from. I think they called a pretty good game. The diving on Miller was total BS and they did let a few things go in the third. Also, pretty balsy to give Hensick the 10 minute misconduct. He must of really gotten out of line. Funny thing is, I don't remember anything particular that would have triggered his action. A Michigan fan next to me thought he was going for a slash. It will be interesting to read Berenson's comments on the call. Most fans were in Sioux green. Lot of DU fans. Not sure which way they will cheer tomorrow night. Maybe we can rent the MI band for tomorrow. Man, did I get sick of hearing the MI fight song. I decided to stay in the concourse the first minute of the third and I'm thinking that was the MAIN reason MI did not score. No need to thank me.

Just got back from the game. WOW. Never seen anything like it. Great character win for the Sioux. I have to say that Michigan is one helluva offensive team. Very fast and skilled. Seems like they had an odd man rush every time down the ice in the first period and a half. Sioux D will have to tighten up tomorrow. Lammy played huge. Yeah, a couple of weak goals but that stop on Hensick on the breakaway was a thing of beauty. Henisck is a helluva player. I'd like to know what he said to be kicked out for 10. That was huge. I was nervous everytime he was on the ice. Jack Johnson is the best Defenseman I've seen in a while. Can't imagine he'll stay around another year. Sioux really deserve a lot of credit for how they came back. Big final tomorrow. Sioux have lost once in the black jerseys, the OT loss to Denver in February. Jersey choice will not matter. The Sioux need to come out and play Sioux hockey from the start and they will be fine. Great Sioux crowd. Nice to see 11-12,000 in the building, especially after seeing some regionals that barely reached 4,000. I'm already looking forward to tomorrow's game.

CCHA is playing very tough so far. May be up to the Sioux to cool them off.
-
How can they not break away and show ND-UAH OT rather than replay the same interview. Total BS.
-
Intermission of SCSU game has analyst saying "no way" is there another upset by a lower conference. Must not know that ND-UAH is in OT.
-
Great minds must think alike.
-
When will they announce? I agree, one key for UND will be to limit UM's power plays. Michigan looks like they have a very good offensive club.
-
I'm definately cheering for Maine. Love their fans, love their program. Also, SCSU has a long history of saying we are hostile and abusive.

As in the color of money or the color of the Fighting Sioux?

Any plans for get together for Sioux fans going to the game this Saturday. There is bar across from the Pepsi Center called Brooklyns that could be a good pre-game gathering spot.
-
NEWS FLASH - We still have them. This just in, Toews, Oshie, Finley, Lee, Chorney and Duncan all 100% to kick some Wolverine ass at 5:30MT this Saturday. Enjoy the ride to #8. Hold off on the worrying until mid-April.
-
No lie. Where else could he go and get blamed for every goal scored against his team. I too am a big Brian Lee fan. I have no doubt he is going to step up big over the next four games.
-
Don't see in my post where I said that Duncan can't take a hit or expect to get hit. Also, I would never question his toughness. The hit was not clean, hence the reason for the penalty. As a critical part of the DOT line, he shouldn't expect to be run while not seeing was coming, don't you think?

Nice to see Vanella choose a guy 5'6" to introduce the Gophers new tough style of play.
-
That and scheduling some time at the local beauty shop. I saw some dark roots showing through last night. Time for a little touch up before next weekend. With Oshie, Toews, and the Johnsons on the ice, there should be plenty of future NHL talent on display at the Pepsi Center this weekend. Should be a great regional.
-
Minnesota definately got jobbed. The overall number 1 in a region with UND and Michigan and a tough Air Force while Notre Dame gets a much easier draw to St. Louie. Prediction. Whoever comes out of the West wins it all. Should be a great weekend of hockey.
-
Will make #8 all the more rewarding. Come out of the toughest region and then clean up in St. Louie.

If you base bonus on .005 instead of .003, Denver ends up at 14. There is nothing that says bonus is .003 is there? Maybe DU will sneak in after all.
-
Agreed. These brackets make sense based on PWR and you have one team in each region that will bring in attendance. What would Gopher fans want, the possibility of facing MI in Grand Rapids or the Sioux in Denver with a FF spot on the line?
-
I agree with number 3. Woog was fair in his analysis.
-
If the seed based on current pairwise and .003 bonus, Sioux as a 10 would be placed in Clarkston region would they not since they would be considered the second highest three seed thereby being placed in the third highest one seed? Or do they just seed 1-4 and then base decisions on location and attendance? The good thing is we are playing next weekend. GO SIOUX. Only two losses in 07 were in OT. I like the way we are playing.
-
Wow, a classy Gopher fan. Parkas just went on sale in hell. Congrats on a well played and well earned victory. Let's hope the rivalry continues yet this year.
-
Is that a given? I would be surprised if that happens.
-
Great game. Congrats UM. That said, the jersey pop and the number of classless A-holes who sign up on another teams board to taught a hard fought OT victory are just two of the many reasons why I cannot stand Minnestota. Go Alabama-Huntsville. Sioux rebound for number 8. I can just feel it.
